That 2012 Olympic game against "the enemy" was hands down the best football I've ever seen. Your hattrick and massive grit and skill ... and the way you and Tancredi were on absolute fire. Will always remember. Thanks for a truly classy and awesome career. ❤❤❤

As a Canadian and a life-long athlete in multiple sports, my favourite team since 2012 is the Women's National team. I'm so sad to see Sinc go, but I'm so proud of what you've done for the nation and the sport. You're a class act and one of my biggest role models in life. This is coming from a 43 year old male teacher. My students are better because of the lessons I've learned from you, and shared with them.

Truly THE G.O.A.T. - not just Canada's but SOCCER'S - by EVERY way we measure greatness - statistics, leadership, role model, advocate. She tops them all.

Unbelievable person and player for all of Canada. I whole heartedly believe every Canadian should know her name and hold her on same regards as Wayne Gretzky. She’s a mentor not only for females but all players of the game… In my own words “Thank You”

I think I' ve only had this much tears in my eyes when my 2 grandfathers and John Lennon died! Sinc exemplifies the very best of Canada. She will always be a legend of my favourite sport.

I have had the privilege of living in Portland and watching Sincy for a decade+.
She has given me a daily mantra of hard work - patience - perseverance. And even a chant while I meditate ' Fuuuuuuuck Seatlle..Oooooommmmm'.
She is funny, kind and the hardest effen worker on the squad. A natural leader with intellect and a commitment to the grind.
Sincy has forever changed the pitch for the better. The G O A T!!

I want to travel to Portland( from Canada) just to watch her one last time and first time play on the Thorns team. I met her in Montreal and she is the most humble woman. She is my favourite player (even though she has retired from the canada team)

We need to keep Janine Beckie from the Portland thorns for the next 2 years. She is my fave player….maybe she might stay with the thorns for the rest of her career and no matter what team she plays for I will always be a fan of Janine BECKIE’S.
