The second game made graphical improvements, but somehow the first game has aged much better.
Have to disagree. Personally I think the 2nd game is better. The combat is so much faster and more hard hitting while the fusion powers are awesome. I also really like how part 2 uses more of the obscure/lesser known heroes and villains in the story giving them more exposure. It's a nice change of pace from the normal heroes & villains that would be used. I love part 1 (honestly I love all 3 MUA's) but playing part 1 now is kind of a slog as it moves and plays at an absolute snails pace.

I really loved how this game was just the Civil War arc from the comics with its own spin. I played this game way before the MCU adaptation of civil war came out, and I remembered this game when trailers for the movie was coming out. I was always team iron man cus I sided with tony in the game, loved iron man right after watching the first movie in theaters, and I still thought Tony was right during Civil War (even though it was technically a Captain America movie). This story is honestly one of the best in marvel history and it makes me feel so nostalgic because I found it through this game.
@Alexander Capanov i like iron man 3 more than iron man 2 tbh. I wasnt a fan of Whiplash as a villain. And i didnt really care about Killian either. I liked iron man 3 because tony wasnt his arrogant self like he was in iron man 1 and 2. He had just gone through that wormhole at the end of Avengers, and it fucked with his head. It changed him, and thats when i knew iron man was my absolute favorite MCU character.
I was team cap in the comic and game but I was team iron man in the movie, I think he had valid reasons to act the way he did in the movie, unlike the comic where he and his group were becoming extremists who just wanted to take down the other group
I played it before the movie too and once the trailers hit I was like this ain’t gonna hit as hard cuz less characters
I love how Spider-Man has the Raimi Spider Symbol in this game

Atomic Reaper because they didnt have even half the amount of characters participating in it and very few of the ones in the MCU (atm) have a secret identity.
Dylan Rodrigues cut them some slack they didn’t have the film rights to those characters so if they used them they were likely to get sued

I liked after they escaped the Negative Zone and when Maria Hill tried to arrest everyone and even the SRA heroes, especially Iron Man, were prepared to fight her because there was a bigger threat than the civil war. They were all like "Yeah take your best shot Hill, we dare you!"

One interesting aspect is that this came out after the Iron Man movie. In the first one, Iron Man was a bit player and they focused on the core four of Thor, Wolverine, Spiderman, and Captain America cause those were the biggest names. But by then Iron Man had taken to the zeitgeist.
This was what i wanted from civil war. An actual crisis that thrust them to force change and conflict. Like magneto and the professor with the mutant registration act.

The Mad Titan I don’t know. Personally, I liked the comic a lot better. The narrative felt a lot more important to me. It felt like it was more of a big picture, high stakes thing, where the Civil War movie didn’t really seem to have any long term consequences.
@@jacobevingham8495 That's a frequent misconception because in MCU Civil War; Zemo won which led to the divide of the Avengers with one half in New York and the other on the run as fugitives for 2 years something that aided in Thanos' victory in IW. Oh and by the way, the accords from the movie are still a thing in the MCU.
The Mad Titan I get that, but the movies never really bothered to explore the aftermath of the accords, which isn’t exactly the movie’s fault, but comics are just easier to do that with. You had the entire superhero population at stake in the comic, but in the movies, you just lost the two huge sides of the argument, just 3 years removed. Iron Man is dead, and Captain America is way too old to do anything involving the Accords now. I just personally liked the comic’s take on the story more.

The second one instead of steve using an EMP against tony he joins him and stops the fight eventually they agree to register the heroes with cap instead of the government and everyone agrees
The reason why tony cries after seeing that is because he was grieving steve since they were best friends in the comics 5:43
