  • Comparing Dignics 09C with Hurricane 3 and Tenergy 05 Hard.
    -
    -
    This rubber really is totally different from any other Japanese or European rubbers made in the past!
    -
    -
    I personally have found the Dignics 09C to be a successful hybrid between a traditional and typical Chinese sticky hard rubber, VS a traditional European/Japanese Rubber with lots of speed but not much spin in comparison to a sticky Chinese rubber.
    -
    -
    These are only my initial impressions but it seems from my feel and the feedback of professionals that Butterfly has done an amazing job with this rubber. It really has the best of both worlds!
    -
    -
    It’s hardness is about in between a tenergy 05 Hard and a Hard Chinese rubber! Suitable for those who like very hard rubbers specifically!
    -
    -
    Definitely worth a shot for those looking for a good combination of speed, spin and control all in one rubber!

    It would be interesting to see the comparison of dignics09c and hurricane 8. H8 is apparently the DHS take on the hybrid rubber which is not as sticky as H3 and faster than H3.

    May I know the how long does your 09c last? how often do you/have to change it. I'm intending to use on my fh side but still figuring the balance between it's price and longevity since it is pricy.
    Thanks in advance :)

    thanks for the review, do you know how durable it is ? considering the price of the 09c, I just wonder how durable the stickiness would stay on. For the H3 Neo commercial and Nittaku turbo orange I can play for 2 month.

    • @heminghu1434
      @heminghu1434  Před 3 lety +2

      It’s not very durable to be honest, I’ve continued to try rubbers during lockdown here in Melbourne, Australia. And for my technique personally, I prefer H3 Neo over any other rubber for my forehand. Dignics 09C is a good hybrid but it doesn’t last too long, once it’s stickiness is gone; the rubber is no better than a Dignics 05 in my opinion.

  • @mathematechxblackboard1942

    Great review! Is that viscaria blade you used with Dignics 09C? What backhand rubber do you use now that your forehand is Dignics 09C?

    • @heminghu1434
      @heminghu1434  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks brother. I’m trying lots of different rubbers during lockdown here in Melbourne.
      For my forehand, I’m pretty set on Hurricane 3. If I go into big halls again and find that it is too slow, I will use 09C. I’ve been playing only in garages and peoples house basements so I haven’t yet used my H3 in any reasonable sized stadium that doesn’t feel super fast.
      For my backhand, I’m deciding between D05, D80 and T05, I’m leaning towards T05 because I’ve played with it since 2009 and I’m used it and have won all my biggest titles with that rubber so I trust it more

    • @mathematechxblackboard1942
      @mathematechxblackboard1942 Před 3 lety

      @@heminghu1434 , Thanks brother for the reply. For the blade, are you sticking now to the Viscaria? I am still yet to try Dignics 09C and probably after the pandemic. Hopefully we can go back to normal soon. I was able to play once and tried my two main set ups again (Harimoto blade with Dignics 05 and Tenergy 05 and the other is TB ALC with Victas V15 and Yasaka Rakza 7) but I am finding the TB ALC to be more comfortable for me. I can't explain it but when I use the Harimoto, I find it hard to find my consistency with the strokes(angle, length of swing, etc) but for TB ALC feels more natural. So most probably, when I change to Dignics 09C, I will place it on the TB ALC which is similar to the Viscaria. :)

    • @mathematechxblackboard1942
      @mathematechxblackboard1942 Před 3 lety

      Heming Hu , by the way, when it comes to Hurricane 3 and Dignics 09C, do you find yourself adjusting your stroke and angle when you switch from one to the other or just same but Hurricane just feels more comfortable in your forehand?

    • @heminghu1434
      @heminghu1434  Před 3 lety +4

      No worries. If you find the Timo boll alc to be most comfortable, you should stick to that. It’s very tempting to see what else is out there, but nothing can beat what you personally trust most. A good way to look at it is this: when you get a girlfriend who is great for you in the important ways.. it’s still easy as a guy to wonder what else is out there that could be a possibly better deal, and what other enjoyment you may have with other hot girls, but in the end.. the girl who you trust more and are more compatible with, is more often than not your favourite and best one.
      In my instance; I have used this pandemic to try around; and I just find hurricane to be the full blast real deal. I have had to adjust my technique and use my body more into my shots, and also spin the ball even more. One thing about hurricane that ppl misconceive is that you can hit the ball as hard as you can because the ball will automatically spin for you due to its heavy stickiness and spin. Whilst that’s true; your ball is going to go down in the net so often because the rubber is too stiff, so you will notice all Chinese try to heavily spin the ball.
      With the Dignics 09C, it was still very much similar to tenergy 05 hard that I didn’t need to change my technique AT ALL.
      In terms of blade, I just LOVE the petr korbel, I tried boll alc again because I thought it may be better for me using hurricane; but there’s something special about korbel for me that I can’t explain. In terms of backhand, tenergy 05 is the best in matches: there’s something about it that just makes the ball go on! With Dignics 05, I just seem to make mistakes under pressure.
      In terms of butterfly blades, they make 102020202 blades and half them are very much the same except named different so that people spend money and buy it, thinking they are different when they’re not. Viscaria, boll spirit, boll alc, Michael maze, all the same thing inside. Maybe different handles but really the same to play with

    So Dignics 09C is an admission that the Chinese philosophy is correct? This is the Chinese equation: SLOW EQUIPMENT+FAST PLAYER+SPINNY BALL=SUCCESS. In contrast is the European and Japanese philosophy: FAST EQUIPMENT+CONTROLLED PLAYER+FAST BALL=SUCCESS

    • @heminghu1434
      @heminghu1434  Před 3 lety

      You have summarised it very well Diosdado. These are the different beliefs that they both have, it’s difficult to say what is correct or less correct.
      Rather, what is suitable for individual players’ wants and needs. For instance, Timo Boll wouldn’t like a H3 with such small technique and no backswing. Likewise, most Chinese players with lots of body movement and big swings on their forehands, like the slow spin my rubbers much more

    • @heminghu1434
      @heminghu1434  Před 3 lety +1

      I would say Dignics 09C is a little bit of a hybrid BUT still very much a lot more similar to normal Japanese rubbers like tenergy 05/Dignics 05. For me these days, I prefer a good ol hurricane on my forehand. It’s the real deal whereas I don’t see 09C being anywhere close to hurricane
