Long Long Honeymoon so are you saying that the XXX ranch has
Grand Tetons?
Long Long Honeymoon l
#1 Scenery! Most scenic mountains in the country. Yes! A close second though is also in Wyoming, Pilot Peak, and Index Peak in the Absaroka range along Chief Joseph Highway East of the northeast entrance to Yellowstone. 😊
Guys, thanks so much for reminding my wife and I that we live so close to the most beautiful areas on Earth, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park! The area is a little tough in the winter, which lasts 6 to 8 months, but we honestly hope for a severe winter every once in awhile to keep the faint hearted south! thanks again, great video!
Ah, home sweet home. I'm so lucky to have been born and raised here. I honestly forget the beauty I'm surrounded by every day because of how normal it seams to me. I'm glad to see you guys enjoyed your trip here :)
Camped at Gros Ventre Slide in circa 1979. I was 28. I remember it like it was yesterday - the beauty of the area was only exceeded by the beautiful girl I was with. Married her in 1981. She continues to put up with my low down ways after all these years. Like the John Prine/Iris DeMent song, "In Spite of Ourselves." Thankyou Grand Teton National Park!
Hi Kristy and Sean - Thank you for making your extraordinary videos; we just concluded a big family trip to Grand Teton and used your video as a guide to plan our trip; followed your tips and it was all perfect! The Bird was the best Wings! I have to add one comment regarding your reference to Taggart Lake hike being easy! That was like an hour on a stair climber!! But we did it and enjoyed it! I agree with you that Jackson and Grand Teton is perhaps the best area in America to recreate. Keep doing what you do; hope to meet you someday. John Lehman So Cal
You guys always have great video quality. The colors are rich, the contrast is great, the resolution is amazing, and the audio is superb. You're quite a pro.
Your comment is much appreciated. It takes a lot of effort to put together some of these videos and it's nice to know that a few people notice. I really enjoy trying to "raise my game" from time to time. Sometimes I wish I didn't care so much... my goal in the future is to become more amateurish, lol But sincerely, thanks...
A FEW people? HA Your kidding ! Thousands of people love your videos and you two ! I recommend you all the time to fellow RVers....or newbies. Safe travels and happy camping! Dee
Thanks Dee, your comment made my day! ❤️👍
The Grand Tetons will absolutely be my favorite place in this country to camp. I am so familiar with many of those places. I only did boondocking camping since I lived and traveled in a van. The land itself teaches you so much on how to survive and enjoy its beauty. I look forward to being able to return there once again soon. Thank you for this amazing video!
Our daughter works at Jackson Hole and loves the area. We visit her every chance we get. It is amazing.
My wife and I went to Mormon Row and saw the Moulton barn in September of 2016 on our way back from Yellowstone. We entered the area on a paved road off the highway....did not hit much if any mud except for the little parking area by the barn. We unfortunately were plagued by overcast and rain on our way to Jackson Hole, Wyoming so the Grand Tetons did not look so grand when you can't see them. Really wished we would have had better weather that day. With the stormy background behind the barn we did get some excellent photos. The barn is one of the most photographed structures in Wyoming. Really enjoy you guys and all the wonderful tips and experiences you have. We almost got a travel trailer but upkeep, storage and expenses on a retirement income just was not going to work out...plus...we are in our 70's. So we travel in our SUV and rough it in the motels, lodges and cabins. Keep up the videos love to travel with you guys on CZcams. Fred Fleming/Houston, Texas
Your not only sharing great RV tips, and approaches to location's, but your still image's and video's are top notch.. You can tell your an accomplished photographer/videographer. Thank you !!!
My 1st "real vacation" was going to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone many summers ago. I've been back 4 other times in all seasons. This video was like another visit. Thanks so much for being so thorough. I'm ready to go again. Just need a traveling buddy.
It is similar to Jasper Alberta I just live 200 miles from Jasper love your movies I live in the wilderness every day
The "Triple X" Ranch. Hilarious blooper. I've watched this video 2 or 3 times now to get ready for our trip this summer. Your content about the Tetons is by far the most helpful for the RV bum community. I just wish we could stay there as often and long as you guys do.
I remember as a child going to Jackson. I remember the antler arch, going rafting, and sidewalks made of planks of wood. The funny part is remembering that I had no clue what the Tetons were. Silly child!
These are the best RV videos on CZcams, hands down. I have watched some of them such as Yellowstone 2 or 3 times. We cooked your hobo pockets last night in the oven. We added some mushrooms by the way and that was wonderful.
Oooohhh....mushrooms! Great addition! We'll have to try that next time :)
We can’t thank you guys enough for the awesome informative videos. They are helping us on our adventures.
I watch this video over and over! Send it to everyone. Planning to go this summer! Thank you so much!
I am so jealous of you... My Dad always brought us on trips......this was one of them. Wonderful !
Bummer, we were there June 2017. We missed a lot, just a drive thru, on our way to Yellowstone.Wish we had stayed a day or 2. Beautiful. Now, I realize , we gotta go back and stay a while.
Gros Ventre was amazing! Thanks for sharing. My trip was made complete because if all of the moose! A couple even trotted through the campground at dawn.
You guys really ought to go see the Sawtooth mountains. Central Idaho.
I know this is a couple years old but I just ran across your channel. As to your badger encounter, coyotes and badgers will often hunt together. One will flush a rodent and the other will nab it. I don't know if they have an agreement but they seem to have learned that they get more meals together than alone.
Gros Ventre is my favorite base camp in the Tetons. Have had mama moose with new twins nursing right by my camp.
Great show as always! We stayed two days at the Virginian. Clean and friendly but put in mind of staying at a drive in theater lot, just no speaker post! LOL On a different note I want to say we had some mechanical issues while in Jackson and the local diesel shop fixed me up fast and very reasonably! The point is that I have found western folk SO amazingly willing to help out strangers in trouble and sometimes for little or no compensation. I'm sure it happens east of the Mississippi too but props to my western helpers!!
We live in Driggs on the west side of the Grand Tetons and go to the Park all the time. You guys did a great job of highlighting many of the tips of visiting Grand Teton National Park! Very well done. Don't forget the whitewater rafting south of Jackson on the Snake River.
Loved seeing my hometown! I’m so lucky ❤️
Which town was that?
I love your hike info and your laid back eateries. Definitely want to kick up our heels in Jackson. It's what we like!
You guys KILL me with all these fantastic images ! OMG ! I love it ! I wish I could be there... Well, maybe one day in a RV. I'm working for it. 3 more years to go.....
I love all your videos and tips and I'm taking notes of everything. Good stuff !
Cheers from Belgium,
Roger.
Thanks, Roger! By the way, we love Belgium! Great cheese and beer. Friendly people and beautiful architecture too :)
Love Belgium, hope you got your rv or camper van. Best way to travel during covid !
We went to the Hootenanny at Dornan's last summer on a Monday night. Had a blast and can't wait to go again this summer. We will only stay at Gros Ventre campground. Can't beat the price or the views.
Agreed, the Hootenanny is great fun!
I used to live just a couple hours south of the Tetons and Yellowstone; and I've only been there I think three times in my life. Gotta get my priorities straight!
Coyotes and badgers sometimes work together to capture prairie dogs to cut off escape exits.
Pulled into Gros Ventre Campground at 12:30 today. Your Alabama friends greeted us and drove me to look at our site to make sure we'd fit. We came here based on this video...and we're not disappointed. (full disclosure...I didn't show my wife before hand because of the "wildlife" aspect)
Cool! Please give those folks our regards. Great people there.
I was skiing at Jackson Hole. One evening we were headed into town when we saw a sign directing us to Moose, Wyoming. Out in the field near the sign was a cow moose! It was so nice for them to label the wild life!!!
On that note, you'll want to avoid Rabid Badger, Wyoming...
We stayed at Gros Ventre on your recommendation and loved it. You're right--it still feels just a little wild. Thank you so much for sharing.
Grand Tetons are our absolutely favorite place in the USA. We like Rocky Mountain and Glacier but LOVE the Tetons. We try to get there at least every other year. Loved the Video.
I knew and was next door neighbor (in Provo Utah) to Mr. Moulton who built that barn. He and his wife were still alive and healthy when I left 17 years ago. Rented my house from his son. Friends with his grandson. Very nice, salt-of-the-earth people.
Looks like a great place to go to as soon as I can. Thanks again Jack
This cracks me up!! In the early 80s the silver dollar bar was a fun hole in the wall! My fave quiet place! Sounds like that's a thing of the past! Hahaha!
Gorgeous place but not many places to live under a million dollars!!!
Awesome video. The amount of time and effort you put in really shows. Very thorough. Thanks you guys!
Thanks Mark... yes, this one probably spent a week in the editing bay :O ... not to say that it took a full 40 hours to edit, but you know how these things can end up taking longer than one expects. This vid and the recent Yellowstone vid are kind of special because we love those places so much. Thanks again for the Patreon... look forward to seeing you someday in our old hometown.
Just booked our July trip this year Gros Ventre very excited! We rode to Yellowstone some years ago on motorcycle, nothing like the the 3D view on a motorcycle, like you said a photo or video can not capture to magic that is going on there!
You guys have said it all! And even more than when I was there and now I don't (haha!) ever want to go back ever again! And Yellowstone too but now I'm not sure what to do with the ever increasing rumbling of the mega volcano but hey you only live once! Thanks so much for the awesome videos and memories!
Your killin me… it’s just November and I’m homesick for Western Wyoming watching this great video!!
i remembering sitting on jenny lake and looking across at the tetons. in the absence of foothills, it really felt like i could swim across and walk right up the mountain!
Did the Stagecoach Bar in "1983". Had dinner and stayed for the music and dancing. I think it was a Sunday night. There was a live western band. The place was packed. At 10 o'clock they pulled the plug and it was over. I was told that the cowboys had to work in the morning. Was a great experience. Also Snake River Brewery can't be missed. Love your Vids?
Me and my best friend,,,,, was visited in August 1996. I enjoyed swimming in the lake!!!! It took my ,,,,, away....
I love the style of your video's, very informative full of useful information. alot of other RV channels are like watching someone home movie. Love it!
Thanks so much! Sean puts in a lot of time and hard work editing these videos, so comments like yours really make his day!
Pictures were perfect! Absolutely beautiful! Thank you!
I’ve tent camped in the Gros Ventre campground. Your right. Pictures and video do it no justice.
Had a business of town square, really was fun. But a small split level home on a matchbook lot is over $1 mil. When I sold my neighborhood was all second homeowners and rentals. Not the same, but go in September! And use the paper to find dinner specials.
Tetons may be the greatest park in the US. (World?) I tell people it's a place you can go and hear God whisper every morning.
What the shit?
what the fuck are you even saying
Magnificent scenery and great wildlife, Some scary minutes with the wildlife. Food looked delicious. A must see when in the area.
Thanks for another great video. We finished our 4 week alaska trip. We saw more wildlife from Watson lake to Fort Nelson in one day than the while time in alaska.
John Stump we also saw more wildlife in the Yukon than in Alaska.
New subscriber here. Thanks for the great video! Growing up in the 60s and 70s, every summer we would spend 2 weeks in the Tetons, transitioning over the years from a tent trailer to a travel trailer to a motor home. My dad and I would fish for trout, my mom would paint the Tetons. Camped in either Colter Bay, Signal Mountain or Gros Ventre. Jackson Hole is my favorite place on earth, and the things you talk about in your video and your advice is spot on. Thanks again!
For 30 years I've live just up the road from the Gros Ventre Campground where you stay and I have to say your video is spot on for all of Jackson Hole. Come back for the total eclipse of the sun directly overhead on Aug 21! Super job!
Also, it's been a long winter. Moose and elk are in populated areas looking for food. Please drive slowly and safely
One of my favorite places too. "Jaw dropping" is a perfect description. Been there many times. I will say to anyone watching this who has never visited Grand Tetons and Yellowstone plan it for your next vacation. We love the Town Square Tavern and saw the shoot out. Really fun. Chippy's Kitchen and Catering. Very tasty although they did not offer many choices. We also went to Cowboy cookout where you ride in a covered wagon and thy have a big cookout. Really fun with little kids. Had some Indians "attack" us. Maybe planning a late summer trip. But I camp in a tent always :-)
This was so informative for me. I'm moving to GTNP in less than a month. Soaking up as much info as I can before I leave.
Very good awesome useful information to consider for my road trip thanks for sharing yours
Great video! I'm from province of Quebec, Canada and even though I cannot go, your videos are fantastic to watch and very informative for anyone who plans to visit there. Thanks again! 👍👍😊
I was working at Coulter Bay Jackson Hole area for a season. I seen several blackbear and and a absolutely great time .
The last minute of the video made me laugh so hard! You guys are so soulful and that's why I watched it threw. Plus I live in Colorado and want to venture to the Tetons.
Thank you so much for the tips. Going back to The Tetons for the 6th time in 2 weeks, but the first time in an RV. I've always wanted to know where that barn is and now I know. Two things I would recommend; Visit and hike The Laurence Rockefeller Preserve off Moose Wilson Rd. and take the tram out of Teton Village to the top and hike down.
Thank you for sharing your great experiences.
Delightful tour, folks! Comprehensive look at one of America's jewels.
Y’all mesh so well together
I've learned more from this video than I have from anything I've read so far. Thanks!
You said your pics and videos couldn't do the area justice, nevertheless, I get goose-bumps watching !! Fantastic work, kids!
Nice video. I remember landing in Jackson Hole, and the view of the Tetons was absolutely perfect. Luckily I had a window seat.
Loved your video. Awesome tips. We are headed to the Tetons next week for our 25th Anniversary 😀
Enjoyed this video immensely! You captured the grandeur of the Tetons very well. My first visit was in 1968 and for a 16 year old flat lander it was the most spectacular site I'd ever seen. Winters are just as impressive, if not more so. Guess scenes of the Tetons are why Shane is my favorite western movie of all time.
Im passing through the Grand Tetons on a motorcycle tour in 2020 with a group of Australians, this video has been very informative..
Great Hikes there! I have never seen so much Moose scat anywhere!
They are gorgeous! Such a beautiful sight. We stopped several times.
Loving the bloopers at the end.
I don't get why anyone would thumps down this video or any of your videos for that matter! (They must be jealous!)
Great Job Guys! We will make it out there some day!
Keep up the great Videos Mentors! ;))
We Luv Ya!
Camping Rhodys
Thanks, and you'd be surprised about the thumbs down! I guess there's at least one in every crowd. :) Thanks and safe travels to you guys!
@@LongLongHoneymoon loved the thumbs down 'easter egg' at the end end of the Walmart etiquette vid!
I know who they are!!! They are other CZcamsrs!!!!!!
@@drwolcott LOL thank you.... I have caught some flack for that joke. But thankfully people like you who have a sense of humor "get" it! Cheers! :D
Camping Rhody's Gros Ventre should be called Gross Campground I have ever stayed at
After watching a couple of your videos I have subscribed! I found them to be well made and to the point. It’s nice to be able to plan a trip armed with a little bit of information. It helped us a lot. Thanks for posting!
Thanks, we try to be concise and deliver valuable information. 👍
A Badger! nice.
I was watching something on TV about Badgers right there in the Teton s.
They put a GPS tracker on one and when released it literally went straight up one side of the mountains and down the other, in a matter of hours. Straight shot!
Love the videos!
We loved the Tetons, the first time we went it was kind of an afterthought to Yellowstone. Next year it will be the main event.
Never saw moose at GT or YS, but saw a bronze moose at a info center. They are BIG! Love your videos!
Alway's entertaining. You guy's are living the dream. All I can say is, if only.
Thank you Sean and Christy for sharing your amazing tips, and beautiful video coverage of the Tetons, RV campgrounds and the town of Jackson WY. We can't wait to go!!
Okay This was world changing. Our first long trip will be to Idaho and we will be going to Jackson. We've been there before but hotel and car, so this has been invaluable. I took notes but starting a playlist for this one.
Who are the haters that do not like this video? GREAT information, GREAT video and photos, well done! We love learning from you and can’t wait to get started.
I will be visiting Jackson & the Tetons later this summer with my kids. Thank you so much for your informative videos, as they are helping us prepare.
i am so happy i found your channel. you two are made for each other.
The series you guys do with tips are the best ever! Please don't forget us here on CZcams. And I will make sure I check some xxx mountains on the web, as well (Lol). Thx guys!!!!
thanks Eduardo! be careful with those XXX Google searches ! :-)
Great review of my hometown. If you go back into your video, and the gentleman playing the banjo at the Stagecoach Bar is Bill Briggs. He is the first person to ski the Grand Teton. He also taught a bunch of local kids how to ski. I and believe the ranch you're referring to is the Triangle X ranch. Great job. Many happy travels.
Next year trip for sure. I was going to go this year when I visited Yellowstone National Park. But I decided not too because I think Yellowstone needed an entire week to explore. I didn't do all that I wanted to do at Yellowstone. It's such a big park. So next year, I will be in the Teton for a week and two weeks at Yellowstone. Then one week at Glacier National Park. Hopefully, the forest fires are not to crazy next year.
If you hike up Rondezvous Mountain you used to get a free ride down in the cable car.
Thanks for the great video Long Long Honeymoon. We went there for the first time late August into early Sept 2019. We went big on the tours and loved them all. Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Snake River Rafting. Defo a bucket list place. We stayed at the Teton Mountain Lodge. It was the most expensive hotel room I've ever booked. But it was all that. It had the best rooftop hot tub and fireplace patio and mountain view that I've ever even heard about. The lobby was a great place to hang in the evening, brilliant fireplace that the staff must operate the fireplace. (Don't test them, they have their rules.) Lots of great food and pricing choices within walking distance from the village. High end grocery prices on spirits wine and beer within walking distance (still very holiday pricing affordable). I would recommend this place to anybody who is looking for a real western mountain wildlife experience. It was everything and more than I expected. The peeps in Jackson are top notch. Cant wait to get back. D & L Kennedy, 11/2019 .
One of my favorite places in the world. Gros Ventre campground is awesome.
You guys do the best travel videos!
Thanks, Brandon!
We are headed there last two days in September and 13-13 days in October.
I WORKED 5 SESSIONS AT THE GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK. GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK IS A BEAUTIFUL CREDIT TO JEHOVAH GOD. MARVIN FROM UTAH 🌍🌍🌍
Hey Marvin. Where you a ranger?
Definitely have to get to the Teton's! I'll keep this view as a favourite for sure...thanks for the tips on the campsites & RV Parks!
This was as good a video in preparation for a National Park visit I’ve seen. Thank you so much!
The videos and comments that you produce are fantastic. The information that you guys pass on is a tremendous amount of help in one's planning stages of upcoming trip(s). It is from real base experiences. Thank you and continue the great work and fun that you all are having.
Haven't been back out there since the 70's, but loved it then, Now that I'm getting ready to retire and start the Grand Tour of National Parks and monuments can't wait to get back.
I really loved this video, particularly because I was reminded of our visit to the Grand Tetons for the August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse in the Gros Ventre road area. The place is magical and the solar eclipse was spectacular with the Tetons as a backdrop.
My wife and I totally love Jackson Hole. Love boondocking in the BTNF and Gros Ventre is also our favorite NP campground. I wanted to say (shout out) the Virginian is awesome! Its a great little place to go once you've done a few weeks in the woods and you want to hang out in Jackson. We don't usually do full hookup rv resorts, but this place is a part of Jackson. Love it. Stumble home. Good times. Not all great places get 5 stars. I left a day early and they gave me a refund, God love them.
