I read a book in the library when I was 10 years old about AC. I remember it having quite a significant affect on me and set me on a path to research other, more lighter magical arts.

I first heard about Aleister Crowley because of Ozzy when I was growing up.. quite an interesting story/eerie man..

The Golden Dawn also included A.E. Waite as a member--the man responsible (in part) for the creation of the iconic Rider Waite Tarot Deck. He worked with the artist/theatrical designer Pamela Colman-Smith--a remarkable woman who was not given access to Golden Dawn 'membership', even though her psychic skills could run rings around the much-lauded Waite.
Not only did she design that card deck (78 Degrees of Wisdom, indeed); even though she was following Waite's lead in assigning 'meaning' to each card, especially the Major Arcana of 22 cards; she alone was responsible for the creation of the images on the 56 Minor Arcana cards--which tarot card artists have used as a template to this day!
Prior to these images, the Minor Arcana resembled a deck of playing cards, with only the numbers (1 through 10) suits (Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles), and the sole 'picture cards' (Page, Knight, Queen, and King) displayed--no clues as to meaning, or interpretation.
It would be ENTIRELY AWESOME if you could, one day, do a deep dive into the history of this amazing, visionary artist. Psychics, Mediums, Artists, Designers have all taken their cue from her work. It is said she died penniless, living with a female companion somewhere in Cornwall. Her artwork has vanished, without trace. It would take a Grimm sleuth to unlock her story. Michael and Jessica...?

Nice! Are you going to visit more Crowley sites? Like Boleskine (which burned down), or the college he went to. Apparently he had kept a human skeleton in his dorm. If you go to Italy there is the infamous compound he, his wife and some colleagues lived in.
A saw a segment on Sightings years ago about Crowley being at a temple in Sicily.
The Abbey of Thelema, Crowley and his Followers were kicked out of Italy by Mussolini. It is still around and there are Mystical Paintings (more like murals really) from that era (1920's I Believe) on the walls, and for an Abandoned place they are in pretty good condition too!!!

I first heard it in Jr. high school in about 1981 or 1982 .There is a song by Ozzy Osbourne named Mr. Crowley. The lyrics were unusual so i looked him up in history books, because there was no internet back then. His life was rather strange.

Crowley was an interesting character who was a bit of a charlatan but influential in pop culture - loved character Crowley in Supernatural tv series.
Crowley was also seen by author Dennis Wheatley as a very dangerous man and was used as Basis for villain in Hammer Films classic “The devil rides our” starring Christopher Lee playing hero for a change - filming locations for this film might be a good option for future vlog.

Love this. Aleister Crowley, a practitioner of ‘magick’ (as he spelled it) and he called himself the Beast 666. Other Crowley sites are The Golden Dawn (George’s Café) former London temple, at 36 Blythe Road, Hammersmith. And Crowley’s Flat on Jermyn Street near Piccadilly Circus where he lived in the 1940s. Go through the garden at St James’s Church Piccadilly and you are looking straight at Crowley’s old home.

I honestly thought you would start the video with a few seconds of Mr. Crowley right after the titles. But knew you'd reference it at some point.
I used to be a mentalist, and our secret society (Psycrets) was based in London. Through that art form I became the tech consultant for a TV Show called The Next Uri Geller. And I spoke to Uri afterwards and he invited us to his place whenever we were in the neighborhood. And he said Jimmy Page was/is his neighbour. So I joked: “imagine your Halloween parties you bending spoons Jimmy playing spoons.”
And Uri said: “Jimmy is far more capable than that.” Well, we now know why Jimmy lives next door to Uri, they both practice the dark arts 😂

The house Crowley owned on Loch Ness is called Boleskine House. He performed a month's long ritual there where he was attempting to make a demon his servant. He got called away from the ritual prematurely and didn't wind down the ceremony properly, and it's believed he left a doorway opened on that property that has never been closed. Ironically, or maybe not, immediately after that is when people started seeing The Loch Ness Monster. Ozzy got the pronunciation of his name wrong in his famous song. It's supposed to be pronounced, "CROW-LY", like HOLY. Great video, guys! Stay safe.
Started studying The Golden Dawn in high school and read a book of correspondence between Yeats and Maud Gonne in Women of the Golden Dawn. The story of what happened on those stairs has amused me for decades!
