- The “Future Past North American Tour” comes in support of Duran Duran’s latest album of the same name. Last year, Duran Duran was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2022. Unfortunately, guitarist Andy Taylor was unable to attend the ceremony due to his ongoing battle with prostate cancer. Recently, the band announced work on a Duran Duran, which will feature contributions from Andy Taylor.
I respect Duran Duran so much for opening with Nightboat. They are not playing it safe which is so refreshing. One of their best ever masterpieces and this version is INCREDIBLE!!!
Agreed! SO cool that they opened with this. Maybe they know they have hardcore Duranies out there that appreciate a track like this. Loved it!!
I am approaching my 54th birthday,42 years have passed since I first heard DD and yet everytime I hear them on the radio my heart quickens and I squeal, automatically reverting me back to that 12 year old girl. The musical notes and lyrics stemming forth made me realize I had found the Love of my life. Thank you DD,I will never be able to repay you for the immense pleasure you have given me for the last 42 years(but if your reading this and you want me to try, hit me up)❤❤❤❤❤❤
Duran Duran is always brilliant live. Friends of Mine was so good!
I’m so lost, I wasn’t even aware they were on tour. Such a great band with so many memorable songs when I was younger and to
Find out the boys are back at it again? I’m so happy for them.
Well, they are touring all over the U.S. through mid September…depending on where you live, you might still be able to see them over the Summer or Sept.? 😮 If you can, GO! I was at this Seattle show and it was the best concert EVER. ❤
they've been at it pretty regularly since 2001. 15 (mostly) excellent albums and touring relentlessly. check them out, they definitely still have it as a live band
They have never stopped. I saw them in the 80's and 90's. Really should go see them on this tour as time is getting late in life and they are a great band. So sorry to hear about Andy and his illness.
ITS SO FUCKEN AWESOME THAT THEY SOUND THE SAME AS WHEN THEY FIRST STARTED! THEY KEEP GETTING BETTER! I LOVE THEM!!! #DURANIEFOREVER🎉🔥🎶♥️👍
Wild boys is good
I've loved Duran Duran for year's! Always and forever will I be a duranie!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Just saw them in Tampa last night! Such an amazing concert !!! They are an excellent live band! I have been a loyal Duran Duran fan since 1980. ❤
Same here! (Not at the Tampa show, but a fellow lover of DD since 1980) 😊 I was at this Seattle show and I am STILL pulling up their other shows to watch, of course. Glad you loved the Tampa show! 👍😎
me too. dancing up in the nosebleeds....great show
Same, dancing non-stop , northern California!
“Friends of Mine” was phenomenal!! ❤️👍🏻
I LOVED that they played that! Also getting to hear Lonely in Your Nightmare, plus a jillion other songs, haha, just WOW! Seattle loves our Duran boys! ❤️👍
It WAS!!!!
Saw them at the O2 in London at the start of May, was so impressed with how good they sounded, especially Simon's voice, a lot of the "elder" groups singers voices fade but Simon sounded brilliant. A great show as well.....
Ahh, I remember when I was waiting for DD to get to Seattle ( I was at this show) and knowing they were still in England..I kept watching the U.K. shows on CZcams while America waited their turn for DD to get over here. ❤ Thank you, Birmingham, England, for giving the world Duran Duran! 🇬🇧
Thanks for this! Saw them last night in Austin - was blown away that they opened the show with Nightboat. The whole thing was great!
❤️
Still great performance, hope Andy gets a speedy recovery.
I was watching as well slightly to the right of you 😉
Thanks for the video, well done!
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Andy will be coming back from this struggle in his life. It's a devastating diagnosis.
@@RebeccaTurner-ny1xxYeah, it makes me so sad. All I can hope is that he’s comfortable and I know he has his wife Tracey and his kids with him. We love you Andy. ❤
At least he is now composing and recording with the guys some songs for an album that will be released soon.
I love them and am so proud of them! They've proven they are so much more than a one-hit wonder band and have added fans from our children's and even grandchildren's generations! 🩷
I am very proud of them too! I’ve loved them since those early days in Birmingham, England and Planet Earth, etc. Best thing England ever exported, haha. ❤😊
lol! more like ~25 hit wonder. but I know what you mean. I saw them last month in Tampa and they had people from pre teens to old 50 something like me and everyone in between dancing
@michaelengle9062 my daughter and I have tickets to see them in August! I am so excited! I've never seen them in concert. :)
@@MontagZoso 🩷
@@song4mozartAwesome, you both will LOVE the concert, guaranteed! Have a blast! ❤
I just saw them in Forest Hills (NYC) on 9/22/2023. THE BEST! Why did I wait 40 years to see them again?! 🤦♀️
Thank you for posting!
I couldn't get to see this tour so thank you so much for sharing this. Great footage, love how they get better and better live as the years go by 😁
Simon fantastico , voce al top con la maturità. Grandi musicisti.
I had no idea there is a tour this year.... THEY ARE THE GREATEST!! Thanks for this wonderful video!!
Their catalog is hard to top. Where have the past 40 years gone? Glad they are still going.
I’m glad too. The Duran boys just don’t stop! They are STILL Amazing! ❤
they have the unique problem of having too many great tunes. they totally skipped over the late 90's/early 2000's songs, many of which are incredible and still had a full set list
😭😭Terrific awesome. Quality crystal clear and sound. Emotionally thankful to hear their voices so close. Thank you so much!
❤️
Duran Duran since 1985.
You must be 15 years old. 1985 ??????
Duran Duran since The Rum Runner in Birmingham, England, 1980 you must mean!
@@hg62adtom64Haha, that was my thought too. Maybe that person discovered their music starting in 1985 and doesn’t know about their brilliant stuff going back to 1980. 😉 Well, at least they can learn more DD!
@@MontagZoso hopefully. I also think that best DD time is between 1980-85.
Durning my first visit to Britain in 1982 i heard about DD first time. Hungry Like The Wolf & Save A Prayer were played everywhere. But non-singles on Rio album were also brilliant, like the ones on 7& Ragged Tiger. I have been a DD-fan since 1982 in Turkey. But unfortunately i have never seen them live😣
I was there at this concert. My first time at Climate Pledge.
Duran Duran did a great show. 😊
Thank you Echo360 for sharing a very exciting night with the rest of us all!

Thank you for this! I get to see this tonight in Houston. Whoop Whoop!
Thanks so much! I was on the floor section. Epic show!!
did you see yourself on the video?
@@robloxmaster8089No, my husband and I were waaay back on the floor section, by the sound/mixing board. We had a nice view still, but not this close!
My daughter and I were there! O-mazing show!
I going to be greedy and say I hope they tour in 2024 as well .
Here here
I was at this concert too! I've loved DD since 1981. Great concert and I hope they keep making great music!
I was at this Seattle show too, wasn’t it EPIC?? My husband had a blast too! 🤩 Yep, fan since 1981…I will love DD forever.
It sounds very grateful
Spectacular voice nick Nick 👀🤩💥⭐️🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🐈⬛🐾
Saw them in Houston Friday, FANTASTIC!!!
Thanks so much for this video!!
From Italy ❤DD
Can’t wait to see them in Denver!!!
Still sound amazing! Bravo Simon, Nick, James and Roger 🌹♥️
Don't forget John Taylor 🤣
James?! 😢🤔😱
@@lynnette9578Yeah, I think they meant John! 😂
JT appears to be fully endorsing Dingwall basses nowadays. I believe it's the best he's ever sounded and I cant wait to hear more!
Opening the show with Night Boat on a 5 string Dingwall was epic but the red Rio Dream 4 String appears to be his go to Dingwall and rightly so it's his first signature Dingwall.
Have you noticed he doesn't quite have the muscle memory down for the fanned frets? He looks down to find his fingering so much more with them...which is totally understandable. 😀
Duranie fan since 1980👏🏻
They played Careless Memories right after Friends of Mine, and wow, it was so AWESOME to see two back to back first album songs! Memorable night! Seattle looooves DD! ❤❤️
Simon ain’t lost a lick baby!
So true. He sounds great here.
Je vous aime
I went nuts when Wild Boys started! Whoo!!!
So many iconic hits
Oh shoot… the best part of ‘Something I Should Know’ is the A capella part at the beginning! Wish they’d done that!!! It’s my favorite song and what I fell in love with them to!!!
Thank you x
Amazing! D2
I saw this last Thursday in Sacramento. E P I C!!!:)
Same!!!! Definitely was EPIC!
Nice!! ❤
Ft Lauderdale (Sunrise) June 18 … can’t wait.
gentimonsieur DuranDuran💓♥️❤️🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
they are a great band - you really feel they are playing it live - and it's not an over produced stage with dancers and similia to "fill gaps".
There is a small mistake from Simon at 1:01:10 (czcams.com/video/bJPnAIJQKxM/video.html) during Save A Prayer - it comes back in in the wrong key, JT notices and slowly walks toward him to sing together few words to bring him back on the right key. Brilliant and reminds me of the "Where is my friend when I need you most?" phrase from "Ordinary World"... that's the answer, just there when needed!
First saw Duran Duran in March 1980 in Sheffield. They had just released planet Earth and were relatively unknown.
Can I be a backup singer in your band? Dream come true! 🩷
A dream come true???? You have no idea what this is about he opened the gates of hell then said I'm waiting for the devil wake up or you to will be in hell with them
I know you can't do anything about the sound - all the "wooooooo" people in the audience. It's not your fault. But this video is fantastic. It makes me wish I were there. I've been a fan (and a concert ticket buyer) since 1984 and I wish I'd seen this tour. I missed out because of priors. But this is a great watch. Thanks for the upload!!
Video is great-just bummed that White Lines was not included-that is fast becoming my favorite live DD song!
My apologies
It was certainly a highlight of their London set ! ❤
I was at this Seattle show and White Lines was amazing! ❤
@@echo_3603No need to apologize for anything! It is so awesome that you filmed what you did, so thank you!! ❤️
❤
Echt super. !
I didn’t hear Careless Memories. It was skipped, I think. Too bad! Sounds awesome live.
Didn’t record whole show, sorry. Thanks for watching.
This tour has the same name as iron maiden's tour, both the future past tour.
Awww..this is edited. There's songs missing, but it's hard to get the whole show sometimes. 😢
I have been a fan of DD since 1983 and I absolutely love their early music. The “Night Boat” rendition they did was fantastic, but I have to say that “Friends of Mine” sounded more like a William Shatner-ized version of the song. Very bizarre delivery by Simon. I have 2 opportunities to see them in September (Cleveland and Toronto). Gotta find a way to get to one of them. Thanks for posting this. Great quality!
Loved it!!! Friends of Mine was awesome!!
Please share what the model of phone or camera you used. Quality is awesome
iPhone 12 Pro Max. Much ❤️
Nick has simplified his keyboard rig right down to Roland JD-Xa (the big one) and Xi (the little one). Amazing that he can get by with those, although of course no doubt he has softsynths on a laptop.
❤❤❤❤😊😊
WildBOYS! When that song first came out for the longest time i thought they were saying White Boys. 🤪
Who ever videoed this what about Rodger Taylor the drummer one of the best
Simon is the God of the 1980s.
Nice footage but did you really skip over Lonely In Your Nightmare for Superfreak?
I’m sorry
Future Past tour thought we would hear Invisible and Anniversary ??????
Violence of summer?
Kd the reflex anos 80
North American tour - but where are the Canadian dates?
The person that filmed this is an individual guy…do you expect him to fly around everywhere with the band and record all their shows??
@@MontagZoso I mean it is sad that Duran is not doing more dates in Canada
@@Vlad65WFPReviewsOh,I see. Yeah, I think they only played 2 cities in Canada before they came down to The U.S.
I believer they've tacked on a few Canada nights later this year
Isn't Iron Maidens current tour called future past.
yes
Too bad they couldn't get the original female singer for Come Undone.
yeah, but Ana & Rachael do a fine job
When they spoken about the people of Ukraine, they has to speak about the people of Russia. The guilty aren't in the people of these two countries, but between those two leaders : Sellensky and Putin . Stop this stupid war.
Leds dance 💃 wHot tramplin☄️☄️☄️☄️🔥🔥🔥💋💋💋💋💋💋💋👩🎤
Are they lip syncing? Maybe they are using auto tune
Background vocals only
No auto tune. I was there. 😊
@@catherine6653 Simon sounds just like the cd's. He is much older so he has to be using auto tune. I saw them live in Vegas and Simon did not sound good. He definitely has help during the concert
Nooooo, they are not lip syncing and never have!
@@tjan3938Nope, they have never used auto tune, lol.
I still don't like Doms guitar tone AND style
I’ll alert the media
