That school setting was used for a TON of shows back in the 90s. Whichever show was scheduled to film simply changed the name above the lockers. I remember the show "Smart Guy" (starring Tahj Mowry) also being filmed there.

Angelica Joy Gallego if I remember correctly it was because they weren’t ready to do the whole aging up thing yet. Cory is only 11 in season 1 but Ben was 13 in real life.
I can’t speak for others but I’m guessing they were assuming he was gonna be a late bloomer (my voice didn’t change til I was 16) but here in season two he’s 14 irl and his voice started changing. Which is why they age him up to 15 in season 3 and why his voice is no longer cracking in the premiere. Just a theory I guess.

This show was dead on accuracy to how kids at the age reveal their feelings when it comes to their attraction to the opposite sex. I remember being in the 5th grade and this girl casually telling me that she liked me and that blew my mind.

I love how when they get older, "they say they've been together for seventeen years". They know in retrospect, that even during this time when Cory was always picking on Topanga because she was the weird girl, and she was always chastising him because he was the dumb kid, that the love they had when they first met as little, little kids was always alive.
