It would then all be Westbrook's fault according to the show. Shannon does not wanna counter that because he hates Westbrook too. Back then when Westbrook was not chasing triple-doubles, he was better and definitely more athletic than he is now. Also, WestBRICK had a higher 3-point shooting percentage than Durant in that 2016 series. By Skip's standard for Curry, Durant was ALL-TIME-BAD in that conference final.

You know what Curry has never done? He’s never been bad for an entire series and gotten swept out of the first round. Never. He’s never even played bad for an entire series. I could use the exact same selective memory for literally any other player. Skip talking about how KD had no help because Kyrie barely played, and James Harden left and there was no Ben Simmons. At least KD HAD his two best players for a while and had Kyrie in the playoffs. Jokic didn’t have Murray or Porter Jr. the ENTIRE season and into the playoffs and he got his team to the 6th seed in the west. But Skip won’t acknowledge that.
I mean, to be fair he only played like 3 games with both his "best players", and both Kyrie and Harden only played like half the season for the Nets, at mostly different times, and for a good stretch when KD was injured in Kyrie's case.
And we can congratulate Jokic for getting the 6th seed but have nothing to say about KD leaving his team as the 2 seed and then having to watch them go down a terrible stretch where they lost 11 straight games while he was injured, and then him having to claw them up to get to the 7 seed?

As a KD fan it's hard to disagree with Shannon's take, all the players he has listed above him had deeper runs in the playoffs and the Nets were in the play in tournament, even though the Nets were the 1 seed when he went down with an injury but they still made the playoffs and he underperformed and underachieved, so this season I'd have him ahead of Bron not tied but either way he's at 5 for me aswell.

It’s one thing to have an honest take about Steph and not living up to finals expectations but after this season if your still bringing up the finals from 8 years ago then your not watching the evolution of Stephs game. 8 years ago Steph relied solely on his ability to shoot the ball and when he didn’t have it the warriors were doomed. Now if Steph is struggling from range he can get to the hoop. Skip wants to talk about his 2-10 in the fourth from range but skips the part that Steph closed out most those games doing something he claims Lebron never does which is drive the lane get the bucket and hit free throws

It's pretty simple. KD is a better player individually but Steph is a greater player overall. Steph makes his teammates better. KD does not. Even on the same team the defense went to the more lethal player in Steph Curry. Steph got 2 rings without KD while KD has none without Steph. Idk why this is an argument anymore

Skip is full of it. Durant is a spectacular player with great stats, but he doesn't elevate his teammates in a team sport. Teams win, not individuals. Steph is different. Even when his individual stats are not the best in any game, his play and gravity elevates his teams in a way that Durant just cannot.

An NBA player has to run, jump, defend and win one-on-one matchups, an NBA player needs elite level cardio.
An NFL QB can hurl an object from a pocket and rarely have to move.
QB is the most co-dependent position in sports, they can’t function without O-line protection, run-support, pass catchers and adequate play-calling.
A mediocre QB can claim a win from the sidelines as long as his defense and special teams make plays and score points.
