- Can you beat a Pokemon Shield Hardcore Nuzlocke using Only Dragon Types? I decided to make it even harder by not allowing myself to use Dynamax. Let's see how it goes!

Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1st: When a Pokemon faints, it's dead and goes into the box forever
2nd: Can only catch the first Dragon encounter from each Route/Wild Area
3rd: No items in battle but held items are okay
4th: Set battle mode
5th: NO DYNAMAXING (Dynamaxing in dens is okay)
6th: No leveling past the level of the gym leader's ace pokemon until the start of the battle. (Soft Level cap from gym 7 to the end of campions cup semi finals)
7th: You will have to suffer through a dragon meme when I lose pokemon

\\ I actually beat sword with only flying types. It’s really fun. Minus the whole. Playing on sword part. It may have a fighting gym but trust me just bc you have the upper hand with typing doesn’t make it easy :>

That robot scene made me burst out laughing, Gamefreak did not what you to win this. Great video, found your channel as I was kinda addicted in watching hard core nuzlocke videos lately mainly in gen 8 as I love this game.
A good nuzlocke run is grass in sword because no Lotad or Bug because they are very fragile.

Andrew let me just say kudos for pulling this off you absolute madlad! Also, ideas for your next run:
Trainer Type Nuzlocke - where you chose a type of trainer to emulate (rocket grunt, bug catcher, hex maniac, etc.) and catch the Pokémon that they are typically known for using. A good example would be Keegan J’s Team Rocket Nuzlocke.
I actually really love those kind of ideas. I use to do playthroughs of gym leader teams from pokemon stadium. I'm hoping to expand my niche as the channel grows! Fingers crossed

Watching other people's nuzlockes have made me appreciate all of these stat reducing and increasing moves, stat inflicting moves, and all the offensive moves like Reflect, Protect, and Light Screen.
Yes i totally agree! A couple years ago before starting Nuzlockes, I would only seldom use those types of moves. But now as someone who does nuzlockes quite often, it has made me appreciate them SO much more!!

You should do fire types next. I'm in a nuzlocke right now and realized theres a lot of great fire types that are available early game such as Cinderace, Centiskorch, Arcanine, Coalossal, Chandelure, Heatmor, Ninetales, etc

I'm probably too late but I reckon normal types would be interesting. Maybe you could beat Leon with an Eevee? Also it would have to be on Sword for a bigger challenge against the fighting gym.

Bug is one of my fav types
I have an unique Challenge - Pokemon Sword/Shield Nuzlocke with only OU tier Pokemons....You can go to Pokemon Showdown , a website of Competitive Pokemon, and see all the OU Pokemon.....You can't use Pokemons from lower or higher tier, just OU - The starter Rillaboom is OU, and Corviknight too is OU. Other easy to get Pokemons include - Bisharp, Clefable, Scizor, Gengar, Alakazam etc. You can use the evolution lines of OU pokemon, and you can't use unevolved forms that have no chance of evolving, like Haunter and Kadabra can't evolve because they are trade evo. Also UUBL pokemon are Technically OU, so don't cancel them.
My noivern was so op in pokemon brick bronze he was the last in my team and my enemy (real player) had 4 pokemon left and noivern destroyed all of the enemies by himself

Dracovish with strong jaw, choice scarf, dragon claw, fishious rend, dragon dance and crunch was my go. And have to say you made yours a little tougher. Started with sap sipper goomy instead of axew.

I think it’ll be too easy, since it’s an impressive type. Unless you play it in gen 1, it’s so underpowered.
Yha had to learn the hard way with a dragon type only run my gog was that annoying with how slow and out right useless the first evolutions are to evolve and train
Also if you want to know the game it was ultra sun and let's just say I had to re due the challenge alot

Applin can surprisingly learn grassy glide from the move tutor on the isle of armor I should know ive done it myself
F in the chat for Noibat. I'm a sucker for the XY anime so I was at least glad to see Goodra do some work. Fraxure and Flygon were definitely the overall MVPs early game and late game respectively.
