How To Buy & Download Digital Items On Etsy (3 Ways To Access Etsy Digital Downloads)

- How do I download a digital download on Etsy? This is the most common question I get in my Etsy shop so I've made a video tutorial that shows you the 3 ways to get your digital download from an Etsy shop.
There are multiple ways to get to your digital files for download:
1️⃣ If you have an Etsy account, after your purchase you’ll see a View your files link which goes to the Downloads page. Here, you can download all the files associated with your order.
2️⃣ You can also download at any time by going to Etsy - Your Account - Purchases and reviews. Here you will see all the files you've purchased.
3️⃣ Etsy will also send you a download notification email separate from any transaction notification emails you receive from Etsy and/or PayPal. This will include the information for downloading.

I look in my etsy app at my purchases. It shows it had been "delivered" but no where does it show that I can "redownload"

hi i have bough some patterns and i want to download them but i cant. The money already taken from my card but it said the payment gets checked now that sentence is not there anymore but i still cant download them. i mean i go to the purchases and reviews page and there is no dowload files button what do i do now?? :(
I have a question about downloads from Etsy. First of all I am not really computer literate and number two I own a Chromebook I don’t know if that makes a difference? A couple of Christmases ago I had purchased a couple of downloads digital downloads on Etsy and I just couldn’t open them up and the people that I purchased them from tried to help me but even with their help I could not make it work. I’m wondering if it’s because I was trying to download it onto a Chromebook? Do you have any ideas before I attempt to purchase anything else that’s a digital download. I have another question if I purchased those digital downloads two years ago why are they not in my purchases today I know it’s been a while but is there a certain length of time you have to use them once you purchase them?

I'm on mobile and I bought some digital download stuff, it doesn't show anything to download. So basically I have to wait for them to approve even if it's instant download?

Can I only make one tumbler per download? Or can I make more tumblers later on if I want to with the same design?
Depends on what you bought and what the license with that product allows you to do. You would need to check the listing details.
Thanks so much but after I finally got it downloaded now it says unable to open file, I bought a different one from same seller and was able to access it, so I don't understand what I am doing wrong with this on. I am so frustrated
If you got it downloaded it might be a problem with the file from that seller. I’d contact them!
hi, what happened if you purchased them a month ago? where can you find the download?
- login to your account
- in top menu where your profile photo is "Your Account" click dropdown
- click "Purchases and reviews"
- find the order in your list of purchases
- click the black "Download Files" button beside the order

It should be if you want to print it, yes! Exact use would be determined by the product and seller you bought from but the general answer is yes

Looks great. Question, So, what if someone that has made a legit purchase shares their Etsy login info with someone else and the someone else downloads the digital file to their phone or computer? Isn't stealing like this easy?
It is. Unfortunately you can’t make people ethical if they don’t want to be. Digital products can and will be stolen in a variety of ways.
OMG I can't tell you how many times I get messages from buyers saying they paid and did not get their money. From now on I will send them a link to this video.
So many times I got angry costumers thinking that I physically click "send pattern" every time someone buys something and just don't understand that the system is automatic...

what do you do if you click the link in the email but there are no files to download?
It’s possible Etsy had a glitch or the seller didn’t attach the files to the product listing… hard to know exactly. I’d start by sending a message to the seller you bought it from!

Hi… I’d like to thank you so much for this video… unfortunately tho, im still stuck… I found the files to download, thanks to you, but when i click “download file(s)” the file will open… but that’s all… im thinking i need to send it somewhere but there’s no option at this point to do that (im now using an iPad which frankly is a bit foreign to me since for many years I only used Windows😉)… please help if you can, this handbag I purchased last summer is needing me to make two for my 2 daughters’ birthdays at end of this month🙃🙃😂… jk…. kinda😜… luv, Kim
Contact the seller you bought from! I don’t know what file type so I can’t help but I’m sure they can!

Then it’s not digital? Maybe contact the seller.

mine wants me to open download put it in note pad then get Google drive link than paste to web browser than it brings me to my Google drive what a scammers on ther 2 of them etsy said go tp paypal and ask for refund
Often on Etsy sellers provide a Google drive link for large files. This is because Etsy limits the size and number of files you can host on Etsy. Not saying you didn’t get what you bought but that is something to consider and a very common practice for digital products.

If it's been that long you should definitely contact the seller! There may have been a problem with your order.

Do you think you can talk any faster ???? Please explain that you are using a laptop, not a phone. Plus a lot of people use their phones, not laptops.
So maybe you show on here a phone version as well. If possible. This was done so fast I couldn't even keep up. If your wanting to help people, keep in mind the older generation also watch your video, and wouldn't be able to understand what was spewing out of your mouth as words, let alone trying ro catch up to you flying feom page to page navigating to what needed to be done.
