    How do you get so much done? Do you have help? Do you not sleep? Your production is amazing. Excellent quality, everything you want in a laser business. I can't produce 1/10th the amount of finished goods that you can.

    You have hiven a very good explanation here on how the images can be done.. and its nice to see you used my Facebook images as examples for the 20w settings👍

    Wow, thanks for the video, these are so fantastic. I am awaiting on my replacement M1 from Xtool which is taking forever, however I will definitely give this a shot when and if it finally arrives. Just watching this video has given me so many ideas with the paint. Thinking white small bread and butter plates with a flat centre, you could do so much on those, they could be sold as collectlibles. So just doing one offs. Even mugs, cups, or tumblers and the list goes on. This technique will definitely expand my variety of items and methods of art work on my peices.

    Once you got your power/speed and other settings down, will that work for any design or have you found out that the settings need to change depending on what design you are using? By the way I love what you are doing.

      Absolutely! It’s got the 20w Diode option which should be pretty similar to the settings I had for the 20W S1.

      At 12:27 you can see some S1 40W settings and then on my test files you can pause and see some of the settings I tried. Definitely had to play around with test files for 40W more than the 20W.

    Very cool! A couple of question please… my F1 Ultra is to arrive tomorrow (and of course I will be out of town) but have you tried this technique with the Ultra? I have the D1 10w but haven’t used it in a long time. I would assume it would work with it as well correct?

    how do you get the larger canvas to stay completely flat? Do you put a block under it to hold the canvas up in the middle?

  • @cliffart7398
    @cliffart7398 Před měsícem

    I have never given this a thought. I do a lot of acrylic pouring art on canvas. Will this work with a 60 watt CO2 laser? I guess need very low power or high speed. I have done this on ceramic tile.

    The xToolS1 looks small, but the canvas you hold up looks a decent size, can you advise as to the max size it(S1)can handle, and what sort of prices you are getting from the pictures you sell, thank You.

    How significant are the differences in your results using the 20W module vs the 40W? I know the 20W has a smaller dot size and a square dot vs the rectangular dot of the 40W, but I wonder to what extent this impacts the level of achievable detail in the real world. I have the 40W module, but no 20W to compare.

    Would a 10W take forever? This is a great video but wondering if I should get the 20W if all I need is to engrave while I work on other woodworking projects. Would 10W be sufficient enough for what you just did?

    • @SixEightWoodworks
      @SixEightWoodworks  Před 14 dny +1

      Great question. Just tried it on the 10 watt. Takes longer, but totally works For most of the laser projects on my channel, outside of specialized acrylics, the 20watt is perfect for everything.

    I’ve done a few pet portraits in B&W still messing around with multi colored. All made in 30W and 80W c02.
    I bet a diode would be best for this type of work, no?

    • @SixEightWoodworks
      @SixEightWoodworks  Před měsícem

      I feel like diode and smaller wattage is best for this level of detail. But loads more experimenting to do.
