What it takes to make an Oil Painting! 'Luna with Mother Willow' ~Thoughts~Process~Inspiration

Today I’d like to invite you to join me on the making of this painting called ‘Luna with Mother Willow’.
I share with you some thoughts, some philosophies, my inspirations and motivations to make this piece of art.
I have been an artist most of my life, in some way or another. It’s a calling I could not escape, since childhood. Only a few years ago, I decided to give it my all, and delve deep into this ocean of learning and creating.
I can safely say that, as challenging as its been, I would not have chosen any other way :)
"Luna with Mother Willow" is an enchanting oil painting that measures 70x110 cm, capturing a mystical scene set within an ethereal forest. In this artwork, Luna stands harmoniously intertwined with nature, embodying a serene and magical presence. Her hair, flowing with grace and vitality, merges seamlessly with the leaves of a majestic willow tree, symbolizing an intimate connection between the human spirit and the natural world.
The forest carries a dreamlike quality, evoking a sense of otherworldliness and tranquility. Soft light filters through the canopy, casting gentle shadows and highlighting the delicate details of the foliage. The colors used in the painting are rich and earthy, with deep teals, purples, browns, and subtle hints of yellows, enhancing the mystical atmosphere.
Women and nature are my primary influences for the series that I have planned, and in this piece Luna, my model and friend, invokes calmness and introspection, as if she is in communion with the ancient wisdom of the Mother Willow. The tree itself stands tall and protective, its branches gracefully arching around Luna, creating a sanctuary of peace and harmony. The painting invites viewers to immerse themselves in this serene landscape, reflecting on the interconnectedness of all living things and the timeless beauty of nature.
