What a legend Geoffrey Rowe was. A good rugby man who said he worked hard for 20 years perfecting his act to then be called a natural. I saw him 3 times and on the second occasion he looked very poorly. On the third occasion we thought he was back and looking great. He went to hospital with a different issue only to catch Covid and die in hospital. My aim is to keep pushing for people like Brad and Lucy to keep his name out there. To me he is the best comedian I have seen bar none. Thanks guys.
Every year My Grandad got a Jethro DVD for Christmas. Dad said when they went to see him in the Hall for Cornwall 1 year he had never seen Grandad laugh so much, he though for a second he was gonna need medical assistance to walk out 🤣 A memory that the whole family smile about even now years after both Jethro & my Grandad passed away.

It's not just the joke itself, it's the way he delivers it - the heavy Cornish accent combined with the simple yokel - that makes him a true master of his art.
This man was a genius, I watch and tears of laughter fall down my face. People like him make the world brighter place.
This is one of the first Jethro stand up shows I seen as a child - my grandfather used to get given a Jethro DVD/video every year for Christmas and from then I was a fan, being from Cornwall myself where Jethro is from. Absolutely hilarious man and is sorely missed by everyone in Cornwall - a true national treasure and will never be forgotten ❤❤❤😻

The first time I heard Jethro I was lying in hospital waiting for an operation the guy in the bed opposite gave me a tape to listen to, here mate that’ll cheer you up. I was rolling with laughter and the nurse came and took it off me in case I fell out of bed. The funniest comedian I’ve ever heard. I must say I had a good laugh watching Lucy “oh my god that’s so wrong” lol
True & useless fact, my mum was at school with Geoffrey Rowe, AKA Jethro, same class, there you go, they used to see his show from time to time and get the VIP experience, so glad you found him such a unique story/joke teller. Sadly he’s no longer with us.

My grandfather very rarely swore (I can only recall him saying "sh*t" one time) and he didn't like dirty humour, but for whatever reason the one exception was Jethro. He would laugh and laugh until he was crying!
Very common. There was a time to be clean and a cheeky time where a bit of filth is funny,and forgivable, and nobody did it better than Jethro

I’ve regularly performed that ‘one-armed man’ joke for a variety of friends. It’s always gone down so well - much hysterical laughter from everyone. A great ‘Pub’ joke for when everyone has had a few drinks.
Hi you two, it was me who e-mailed the recommendation to you. Just watched it again for the second time, along with you. I only discovered "reaction" videos a month or so ago, at first I couldn't see the point, but now I realise that part of the joy is laughing along with the "reactors". This was a perfect example, I enjoyed your reactions so much (especially Uncle Brad) that I laughed more than I did the first time 🙂

What a lovely story and something to be proud of. I went to see him three times and each time was an absolute joy. When my wife asks me anything I always try to answer ‘what happened was’. I have a few mates who always send vids of any new jokes found of Jethro’s. A very funny man indeed. Thanks for the reply and keep those memories alive by watching the great man.
That one armed man joke is probably the funniest joke I have ever heard. I nearly choked to death laughing.😅
I was in a pub and a drunk guy was trying to tell the one armed man joke and when he attempted to put his hand in his fly his trousers fell down and so did he ! When he eventually stood up a guy knocked him over again for being a rude bastard and the pub laughed for about 10 minutes. At closing time we all went outside and he was still trying to tell the ending of the joke to anybody that would listen.
The joke at the end by Lucy was priceless.

my wife passed away in 2011 and we had a few beers regularly when she found out she had cancer but she always seemed to have a small black fly hanging around the tops of her cans so i said to her that's your personal beer fly its only here for you we laughed about it until she passed but when i see one of those little flies these days in 2024 it still reminds me of her and i say jo your fly is still reminding me of you to myself even when we went to a pub that fly seemed to turn up
The ostrich joke had me in stitches - those were the days when we were able to laugh at ourselves without taking offence, unlike today.
Name one single edgy comedian around today that has actually been cancelled. You cant because there arent any, someones going to be offended no matter what you say but that doesnt mean comedians are being or have been cancelled.

What makes this video so funny, is not so much Jethro, (although I loved him to bits, and is my favorite stand up that I have seen live). It's the fact that you guys laugh at his humor. It's as good to see you guys laughing as much as you did.
I'm 68 years old , British and never heard of Jethrow. Was he banned from MSM...I have never laughed so much in my life😂😂. Can't wait to research him❤

There's a great Jethro video on CZcams called 40 Years the Joker. 40th Anniversary show. It's only Audio so might not make a good video for you but has some of his best jokes on there. If you haven't already seen it I highly recommend giving that a listen through. How do you get on with the accent and some of the English terms, be interested to know? Subtitles help but sometimes get the odd wording wrong. Jethro and Peter Kay both brilliant. Enjoying the videos keep them coming. All the best from Brighton, South Coast of the UK

What a story teller, one of the best comedians I have ever watched. I saw him in one of his live performance in Port Talbot a few years ago, my stomach was raw after laughing to all his his jokes. I still miss him loads.

I am from Cornwall and ran businesses all over inc Penzance and always felt his accent was over engineered to be uber yokel when he was very smart. It was clear early on this was all he had to make him standout in London especially. Apart from Dawn French who grew up in the Westcountry and toured with him (who can do a great accent not fake pirate like most) tried to change her accent to make her more employable in the big city. But Jethro didnt. So in a way thats clever marketing. Like being a Welsh comedian who REALLY sounds Welsh. Max Boyce was kinda like that. But part of me just feels like saying OK OK we get it now speak like the rest of Cornwall... The Wurzels had the same problem. Its like somebody Cornish trying to sound more Cornish? But then again I am just weird and doubt anyone else (outside of this region) would notice this quirk.
