A real gentleman fame never changed him, watched him for years and he was one of the few. Comedians that could make me laugh no matter how many times I heard the same joke.
I was working as a session singer on one of the big variety shows for LWT back in the 80s, (I think it was Live from the Piccadilly), they'd arranged for us to be able to bring our meals from the catering truck, which was parked across the street, into the local pub. I was sat at a table with the other two session singers and Jethro and Jim Davidson came and joined us. I can honestly say that was the best and funniest lunch break I ever had - those two were a real double act and the jokes were coming thick and fast. RIP, Jethro.

Awesome comedian, doesn't have to talk just his stage act of shuffling around the stage gives you reason to believe something pretty special about to happen... his presence is "MAJESTIC" and unparalleled... RIP.
He came to our theatre in Ivybridge a couple of years, ago sold the place out. Came into the bar before the show went round talking to everybody like he had known us for years. I think I laughed for about two hours solid. RIP Jethro

Why does someone like jethro have to die? My biggest regret is not seeing him live, I knew of him but forgot to look him up everytime I went down south. Mind you I might have died laughing had I gone to his shows. I cant think of anyone ever funnier. Damn bastard covid.
There will never be another Jethroe, Some try but never succeed, he was a talent underestimated by the mainstream, but of course, He would not go down well with this silly woke society we now live in.

Im 62 and only came across Jethro recently. Its a joy going through his videos. Im just sorry i missed him while he was here.
