Basically the changes are:
-Jungle Pets are the new Red Smite / Blue Smite items
-3 Pets to choose from, Red (Wolf) gives a slow + damage on first hit, Blue (Fox) Gives movement speed when in Brushes + Movement speed when completing camps, Green (Turtle) Gives Tenacity Slow resist, and a permanent shield that recharges when out of combat
-You only gain these traits when you feed the pet 40 treats (when the item disappears)
-Pets help do camps with you, they heal you for 70% (Could be changed) of the damage they deal
-Doing camps give pets treats, they start with needing 40
-Smite does 600 instead of 450 at the start
-at 20 treats Smite deals 900 and now can be used on champions for True Damage + Steal movement speed (It's blue smite)
-Smite no longer heals you
-All camps now heal you when you finish them
-All camps patience range is smaller so doing double camps is harder
-Camps will no longer fully reset so messing up clears is harder, (They reaggro when they get back into their patience range rather than run to their original start)
-At 0 treats your smite does 1200 True Damage to monsters
-At 0 treats you gain 30% damage reduction when doing Epic Monsters like Baron and Dragon and Herald when at least 2 other allies are nearby

Lightrocket, the Taric onetrick, pointed out that with the pets you should look at drake pit before buying your pet; if it's Infernal drake you can buy blue pet in peace as there's no chance of infernal rift with less bushes, and if it's ocean drake you should maybe think about not buying blue pet if that was your plan - there's no chance of Ocean rift with more bush and there's a chance of Infernal rift.

But why should you ever buy the blue pet in soloq where every form of dmg/ tankiness can be game winning, as a low master jungler i would never buy that shitt (i play mostly brusier/ carry jungler btw.)
@@jeezycata4662 Any champion that takes ghost instead of flash should be considering blue pet. Hecarim, Mordekaiser, Taric, Olaf, arguably Udyr - champions that do well once on top of an enemy but either struggle to engage or have move-speed based engage (rather than dashes etc).
Looks really good. It is something I pitched a long time ago on the old forums. The idea is basically everyone becomes a viable jungle, just like basically everyone can lane in theory. Some will naturally be better but overall it allows so much more flexibility and creativity.

I mean yeah, mid always worked as a secondary jungle role since they always gank lanes after being ahead or help gank with junglers in general. This update will give them a chance to become a full fledge jungler since literally anyone can do it to become even more viable.

some people have been critical of this change because it takes some of the edge off champs who could previously full clear faster than others or multi camp clear like fiddlesticks, but frankly im thinking the end result is worth it, opening up the jungle to literally every champ in the game. i'm all for expanding available champ pools and options, and if some of those champs who previously relied on their turbo farming as their advantage well maybe they look to adjust those specific cases to shift their power a bit in a different direction.
good move for the game as a whole though.

As a main Mid and Jung as secondary role it makes me sad that you can't do the crazy Fiddle pathing anymore, but I'll be enjoying playing a lot of Midlaners champs in the jungle

everyone being able to jungle always ends up being a bad thing because it doesn't mean that jungle ends up having more variety, it just means the characters that were already good in the jungle gap the rest even harder

Not only do you get that bonus 50 gold when you use a treat stack, you also apperantly get more XP. But same point stands that it exists to level out farming junglers and ganking junglers so that they stay relatively the same

Thanks for the pretty informative video. This suggests to me that the next 'big' Meta will turn back Lulu JG to be as versatile as (if not even more than) before --on what was the previous 'Burst Meta'; currently it's this 'ADC/Tank Meta'. The Jungle now is too tough, and if you don't go wild Damage (on Lulu JG) you can't impact the game anymore; it's pretty stupidly, straightforwardly bad right now; you Build Kraken Slayer and/or Blade of the Ruined King, you easily control the Jungle and slay Tanks, Fighters, Assassins, Marskmen, whatever you encounter in your way, you name it, and carry all the games left-handedly; you don't Build those items, you become COMPLETELY useless (unless you're somewhat of a Tank Lulu) and loose ALL Objectives; no mystery here: there is no more space for creative strategies nor advanced tactics --it's all down to who is capable of doing more Damage while Sustaining longer (and Lulu can do that but only on very cavemen Builds). Hopefully, this will be changing soon enough thanks to the Pets --then, lots of champions, including Lulu, on the Jungler Role won't have to focus on pure Damage in order to compensate for relatively limited Farming capabilities.

Pekin, what do you think of elating backwards as Zoe while Kayn is on you, allowing you to run away from him easier? For example, at 14:08, imagine if you ult down towards mid, forcing kayn off you at that time, and then you pop back in the river, gaining distance from him. (Maybe not the best example because Katarina is there but hopefully you get my point).

@@Sc4recrow44 Yh but clear is a huge part on being viable. Realistically this zoe clear looks way too slow and she's going to get perma invaded all game and especially on her 2nd buff (red).

i go for taste of blood and eyeball collection as secondary.
First buy or first recall the mana tear into full ludens and boots followed by Archangel staff (It will give you +151 AP with Manaflowband!) ? Youll have over 350 AP with only those 2 items and the rune path from above.
If you then go for rabadons and maybe have a stacked dark seal you'll have over 700 AP which feels so insane to me.
I just had 800 AP on Xerath on a PBE game where i didnt even perform that well (but not bad either) in 30 minutes! Still had my support item and dark seal with 10 stacks that i could upgrade so i couldve gone over 1k i guess :)
I started learning jungle 2 days ago and am trying to main Lillia. Tbh, this movement speed item is gonna be SO strong on her :D I'm excited about it.

Strangely I don't think I hate this, it puts more focus on Junglers being based on who has good Ingage and CC, aswell as clear speed.
Rather than having to worry about survivability during the jungle.
As a jungle main I am not very happy with the reset range being so much smaller now. However I am very happy with the fact that a lot of new champs will be viable in the jungle now. I am personally hoping that Lissandra might be playable in the jg, since I love that champ but rarely play mid.
For what it's worth, since the indicators show how far the monster can go, rather than how far you can go, it actually nets out to not a whole lot smaller. Though it is definitely a bit. I off role jungle and after testing it a few times in practice tool it doesn't really seem to have affected my clear much, if anything it sped them up since I'm not like, super proficient or anything.
It's not technically even chilling smite anymore, since it doesn't speed you up, it just slows the enemy. So its kind of like a watered down version of red, blue, and purple smite combined. It has the AOE, it slows, and it burns.
can you play ap (hybrid) zeri with the navori changes maybe even jg?
I also just want to FYI this MASSIVE note that the tool tip doesn't say, the jungle pet PASSIVE amps your damage to your side of the map's camps by 20% or something so you ignore their armor basically. Zoe lvl 1 here did 58 AD to Red Buff despite it having 20 armor which should have negated that damage.
Hi Pekin, awesome video! I feel like this opens up the jungle a lot. Maybe way too much... Could you try Rakan jungle? Until now I've wanted to try it but it just wasn't possible to clear more than a couple camps. If he has good gank potential as supp and mid, I'd imagine it would be better as a jungler. Maybe with an HP and AP build like night harvester.
As a rakan main I've waited 6 years for this jungle. Rakn can 1v1 drake lvl 4 without backing after full clear

Have they fixed the bug where your pets don't damage the camp if you're moving around too much? It really butchered the clears of champions like Zac, since he needs to walk around picking up blobs.
I think is kinda good, u see often damage supps, ranged top and apc on bot, so why not give jungle more flaxibility

And that's okay, but people can try off-meta and have fun in the jungle, having a massive barrier to entry shouldn't be a requirement. I like it overall.

On current patch like 40+ people can solo drag lvl 1, does that really matter? no, is that overpowered? also no.

by going off what you said, horizon focus took the damage of your q from 2000 down to 1870 damage
He lost baron buff and 10 mejai's stacks upon dying, so in total buying horizon focus made him lose like 6 ap and gain the 10% increased damage
...but yes he could theoretically stack mejai's again

@@thefailers2597 I'm going off the assumption that he would get those mejai's stacks back as he is still much stronger than everyone and also not playing high elo, so before baron with blue pot he had 901 ap, after baron with horizon focus and blue pot he had 816 ap, so a net loss of 85 ap assuming he gets mejai's stacked again. Max Q damage with Mejai's was 1902, while with Horizon focus it ended up being 1951, so you are right in principle.
