I had an old Freightliner FLD that was pressurizing the radiator and it ended up being an air check valve in the bunk heater had went bad. I could drive it about 10 miles and it would blow the water out of it. We were just about to pull the head off the B model Cat and I called a mechanic and he said that it could be the Bunk Heater valve and sure enough it was that. Like your videos have a great day.

From a Freightliner mechanic. My thoughts are we do this at the dealership all the time. If you find out who repaired it, see if they will financially help you with your repairs because their repairs Fayette made the motor fail.
Secondly, you're talking about the belts on the engine. Upgrade the engine to the single belt serpentine belt on the 60.
I like the fact that you were buying the truck that I was looking at and you had the problem and I didn't cuz you're able to do things more readily available. Keep posting. Love your posts

Hunter orange with black would look cool in regards to engine scheme.
Currently working on a 7.6 liter John Deere engine with a blown head gasket that turned into a major overhaul to fix things that weren't done correctly the first time. You never know what you have unless you do it yourself.
That's one pretty truck. Her tlc well needed. But a perfect truck

LOL that wasn't dirty, you should meet my "Olive Oil!" She was pushing oil out the back of the block for the longest time then 3weeks ago she finally started pushing coolant and now she's getting an in-frame. Keep up the videos I enjoy them!

Good looking Freighliner, shame it needs a rebuild right away. As a young fella I was taught all Detroits leak. If they don't leak they burn it. Cut my teeth driving 6-71's & 8V71's. Nothing finer than the scream of a 2 stroke. I didn't think for a minute you would just patch rebuild it & send it. Honesty is a good reputation to have.

Detroit? Do the alpine green. Few people have it but whenever I've done my baby Detroits I use alpine green or whatever factory color that is

Bad compressor can do it as well. I bought one with paperwork on engine that was same way. Took a rebuild
Overhaul is free... 3 fan belts, well that'll cost you a few thousand.
