After avoiding Delhi Crime Season 1 for 3 years, for its subject matter... Finally watched it. It still felt extremely heavy and unsettling. What an incredible show! Technically outstanding. One of the best shows to come out of India. Waiting for season 2 on the 26th.
Shefaali Shah, what an actress That little performance in "Juice" Short film, which was played at my English class in college told a lot about the actress, soon after that, Delhi Crime Season 1 popped up, and she was in full swing. Had seen Rasika then for the first time and then went on to witness her meaty role in Mirzapur. Rajesh Tailaang just assimilated into whichever character I'd seen him playing, be it the harsh father in Selection Day, an unfortunate lawyer - father in the unjust in Mirzapur and in Delhi Crime, when he says "Sonu Mil gaya Madam", the victory felt personal 😢🙏
I saw the series for the treatment and way the story was told, the editing, the way they weaved the various teams investigating and natural down to earth characters ( Rakesh was outstanding). I didn’t want to see it for a while unwilling to play that trauma again but the movie made it bearable.
As a citizen of Delhi, and mother of 2 daughters, Nirbhaya incident tore us apart. I could not watch till now. It presented the trauma that all us went through very sensitively.
Happy 2 hear ur Hindi.. U have been bridging boundaries.. Taking South cinema to other parts of India earlier.. 'Ulta' these days.. Which ever way, interesting.. All the best!!
i think the best achievement of indian webseries boom is this absolute documentary style realism filter to our shows, and it can be seen in so many other indian webseries too but is mixed with noir style too, but especially in this one's 1 season, the absolute realism style is the most. It seems to me it is our own thing i have never seen this style in other foreign shows, especially in crime shows, they usually have the stylish noir style of acting, dialogues, cinematography. We should keep using this style with its extreme and absolute realistic style of acting, dialogues, cinematography, so many shaky handheld camera walking shoots, its incredible

I think first question should have been that why they made us wait so much for season 2!!! Rangan asked a very silly question about pre pandemic watching light hearted content only...since Mirzapur and Sacred Games were superhits despite being intense thrillers
Delhi Crime season 2 such a letdown.. Shefali’s character speaking too much in English.. the story not picking up pace. Not able to keep audience on the edge of their seats..
