@@MoStBlEsSeD I humbly disagree.. The question is when are you saved? When you believe and accept Christ as Lord and Saviour or when you believe persevere and are resurrected to life while others are resurrected to eternal damnation? You will not lose your salvation if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain 1 Corinth 15:1-2. This Apostle Paul who also warns the believing Jews in Rome when writing to them in Hebrews 6:4-6 it would be impossible to renew again to repentance those who fall away since they crucify again for themselves the son of God and put Him to open shame. also why would the bible warn about the unpardonable sin if no one can lose their salvation.

People who are against once saved are really having a vantage point issue. God's vantage point is eternity. He already knows who is saved. Man's vantage point is lateral and largely based on outside appearances (fruit inspecting). This is how Jesus could say what He said in Matthew 21:30-32. An external religion, full of piety and good works is not wrong, but it is not the requirement for salvation. It is the result of salvation.

Paul is talking to Christians in Romans that will continue in their salvation , he says offer your body as a living sacrifice Romans 12:1-2 it’s only reasonable that you do this so if people don’t do that and they turn their back on God they’re not once saved always saved. It doesn’t exist. !
Titus is three chapters long it says to do good works 6 times, and in the middle of Titus, it says grace teaches us to say no to a godliness. So if we’re not saying no to godliness, we don’t have the true grace of God, according to Titus, 2:11-12 !Titus, along with the book of James that says we are justified by works and not by faith only Says James 2:24. !

This is how I look at it…Is it true or not that it was the work of Christ alone that saves us? What that documentary was teaching is a work based salvation! The verses that seem to say that a man can lose their salvation are there to show who a real, genuine, born again believer looks like! Christ saves us as His children and He will not lose any of His own! If a man loses their salvation then does that mean Jesus lost one of His own? Think about that for a moment. If a man loses their salvation then that means that that man was once a child of God, right? If that man was a child of God and then that man loses that right to be a child of God, which in turn means Jesus lost one of His own! Is Jesus a liar? No, Jesus is no liar and He Himself through the power of the Holy Spirit will present His own people faultless before His presence at the end! Salvation is not in our own hands to keep, salvation is in Gods power to keep His own!

Being saved means one is destined for eternal life with God and Christ. It’s not a game of ‘seesaw’. When someone is ‘saved’ their spirit(the real you) is born again. But the flesh has to be ‘reconstituted’. Anything other has to be addressed on ‘judgment day’. Jesus died once for all, He’s not going to do it again. Once you’re saved that’s a done deal, final done deal. Now, whatever a person does after they’re is by their flesh, the ‘sinful nature’. Apostle Paul once said “the things I should do I don’t do, but things I don’t want to do I do. God’s mercies endure forever(Psalm 136). God’s mercies endure forever in the name of Jesus Christ. Don’t listen to anybody who says you can lose your salvation. That’s false doctrine. Moreover, God said nothing will separate His love from His children in Jesus.👍🙏🏼

If future sins aren’t forgiven, then that means that Jesus would have to come back to Earth and die AGAIN.
Scripture indicates no such thing. Christ clearly said “It is FINISHED!”
Also, Hebrews says that “Christ offered up ONE sacrifice for sins FOREVER.”
When Christ offered Himself on the Cross, ALL of our sins were future.
His sacrifice was Once For All Time. (Past, present, future)

      ● For by one Offering He has perfected for ever those |who are| being sanctified.
      - Heb 10^14
一 translated "for ever" here is actually the Greek phrase "εις το διηνεκες" [eis to diēnekes] = *continually* (Strong's), in (the) perpetuity (Marshall's literal) 一 from διηνεκης [diēnekēs] = continuous.
      ● This exact same Greek phrase "εις το διηνεκες" has been translated "continually" in Heb 10^1 (concerning animal sacrifices):
... can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually ... (KJV).
      ● Compare with the phrase:
"εις τον αιωνα" [eis ton aiōna]
      = for ever
      (Heb 7^28, 1-Pet 1^25, 1-Jn 2^17)
and: "εις τον αιωνα του αιωνος"
      = for ever and ever
      (Heb 1^8)
      ● also, the word τετελειτεν [teteleiten] "perfected" here is in the Greek perfect: a tense refering to an action that is continuing to the present, and not an action completed in the past (Greek aorist) 一 sometimes translated into the English present tense.

I believe people walking around here like yea im saved are arrogant and not humble. How do you know you are of the elect. This is where I am, right now. All I know is that God calls us to obey his commands and it's hard, but with everything going on in the world we have to get right. Read you bibles everyone everyday, there is a huge spiritual war right now and when you look around everyone is living their lives regularly like in the days of Noah. I know works won't get you to heaven but proof of your salvation is the righteousness done through you. I don't want to go to heaven believing once saved always saved and God saying get away I never knew you worker of iniquity.

spend more time in the books that are directly to us in the body of Christ, Paul's 13 epistles romans through Philemon ! the Old Testament is what I call the Israel saga its all about Israel and their coming messiah, and what most people don't get is that most of Matthew mark Luke and John are still to Israel before atonement! not the body of christ after atonement so people take what's commanded and expected from Israel and place them on the body of Christ,
when we are after the blood we are saved sealed and justified by the blood , they had other things they had to do to be justified and most Christians don't separate the 2
the body of christ gospel is believe the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for your forgiveness and justification !
1Corinthians 15:1-4 is our Gospel believing that is how we are saved
Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain.
3For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.
      Ephesians 1:13-14
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14who[d] is the [e]guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

@wolfwatchers hmmm, I haven't heard of the Gospels being told just to Israel. Idk if I'm misunderstanding you, but from what I understand, there is the old covenant and the new covenant. The old covenant was given through Moses on the mount, and the new covenant was made through Jesus. When you read Isaiah 49, it explains that the Redeemer, the Holy one, will be sent for Israel but also for the gentiles, which is us. If that is the case, then Jesus's teachings would be for us, too. Plus, I agree that the epistles, especially Roman's is a great understanding of how we should live as Christians, and that, yes, only Christ is the way into heaven but those that truly believe will be evident through the righteousness done through them which is the following of the commands in the new covenant. So if you proclaim to be Christian but yet still commit acts of the flesh all the time, then I would question if you are truly saved. I'm still a baby when it comes to the scriptures. I haven't read the whole Bible yet. I've read the new testament and I'm in the old in Jeremiah right now. I also have a mentor helping me understand and teaching me how to study the scriptures. So I got a ways to go.

The most troubling part of this documentary is when they suggest that only believer's past sins are forgiven and not their future ones. These texts couldn't be any more clear:
Proverbs 10:12 - "Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth ALL sins."
Colossians 2:13 - "And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you ALL trespasses."
1 John 1:7 - "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from ALL sin."
1 John 2:12 - "I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake."
Those passages that talk about sins past or old sins (Romans 3:25 and 2 Peter 1:9) don't say that ONLY our past sins are forgiven. If Christ didn't die for all of our sins, then Christ's work was incomplete, even though it was complete, because He said, "It is finished." (John 19:30).

John 15:2 or 6, look at the metaphor or comparison to someone that was connected. The Lord tells the Disciples in Matthew 5:20 unless your righteousness exceeds the scribes and Pharisees you won't enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Genuine question: Can we say that Paul "despairing of life" equates to suicidal thoughts? Suicide is the taking of one's life, therefore suicidal thoughts are thoughts to take one's life. You said, and I agree, that Paul wanted God to end to his life, not that Paul himself was going to end his life. We see similar instances of this with Elijah and Job, but none of these men think to take their own lives but rather ask God to do it for them. As a point of technicality, I don't think it can rightly be called suicidal.

Actually, once saved always saved is Biblical. Jesus went into the Holy of Holies once for all. To think anything else flies in the face of the sanctification work and continued advocacy of the Holy Spirit. That advocacy is the reason that God will be able to judge works and give rewards at the judgment seat of Christ (to the end that we would all be without excuse). God can say: "Hey, I sent my Son, I gave you everything you needed to be kept in this wicked world). The old covenant passed away (death of the testator (ushering the new). God cut covenant with Israel. He says: "I will." "I will put my law in them, and write it on their hearts." We can never work for the grace which is a gift of God.. The point is that the working of the Holy Spirit in the new birth causes us to be transformed in the image of Jesus. So, there's no way to have the Holy Spirit and have the urge to keep being antagonist to God and grieving the Spirit. No... we come along. Some slower than others, but we come along according to Philippians 2:12-13).

Romans 6 shows that believers can "let sin reign in their mortal body." So that's why you cannot look at how someone lives morally to see if they're saved or not. 1 Corinthians 3 is another example, where Paul says to genuine believers:
"And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?"

Keeping your eyes on Jesus, not looking to the left, or right, and keep running the good race, and fighting the good fight with all your heart. For your faith in Jesus the size of a mustard seed, will move your mountains, and that same faith in Jesus, will help you overcome the obstacles along your journey that the Precious Lord has blessed you with. Praise Jesus Lord God and Savior AMEN.

But what about 1 Corinthians 6:10? What if a saved person does any of these things mentioned in this verse?? And how do you know if Jesus knows you?

Great job Corey. Not sure how the scholars miss it, the two groups are seen all through the Bible. The people of God and the people among the people of God.

I just caught something. Heb. 6.4 explain partake of the Holy Spirit. How does that happen? So they’re not baptized in the Holy Spirit but sprinkled. Idk that’s odd

my friend, once saved always saved is what the gospel is-- because it's impossible for God to lie or play tricks with our minds. We are not saved based on any works of righteousness we do, it is by grace alone, by faith alone in Christ alone. Everything else is works of righteousness that God gave us to do for our own benefits and to obtain rewards, and be an example of children of the kingdom. Those who do nothing but hold the profession of their faith of the Son of God are children of God and therefore are sealed unto the day of redemption. That's the promise of God. Many folks have problem understanding and accepting this fact for the simple fact that is impossible for man but not with God.

The Bible says we are to work out our salvation with trembling and fear. This means there is work needing to be done to keep salvation.

I’m so confused because I thought I was agreeing in the beginning with the guys in the video. I’m trying to figure out what’s the argument about.
I thought that you could lose salvation..
If somebody is saved, but not really having an outward showing, can they still get to heaven? I know we’re not safe by our works, but we’re literally not doing anything and living the way we used to, but still claim God. Are we really saved?
So if we can’t lose our salvation, we can still get into heaven by doing the bare minimum.
I think Corey‘s argument is if you are saved, there would be an inward change within you that would want you to be holy which can/will show outward changes. I’m assuming…
Still trying to figure this out…

@@kellykade For me being saved was receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. The comforter which the Lord said he would leave with us to lead and guide us into all truth. The Holy Ghost intercedes on our behalf in prayer in an unknown tongue which the enemy doesn’t understand. The enemy only knows what we “say” and not what we think.
In order to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven we must be born again. But born of the spirit (The Holy Ghost). They that worship Jesus must worship him in Spirit and in truth.
Evidence of having the Holy Ghost is a quickening spirit and speaking in tongues.
When I sought the Lord, I tarried every day by praying on my knees, calling on the name of Jesus over and over and also saying Hallelujah. Knock and the door shall be opened, seek and ye shall find.
after 3 months of seeking - the Lord blessed me with the gift of the Holy Ghost. The choir was singing in my church and I cried out to God. I felt a heat at the top of my head and it started to travel up and down my back to the crown of my head. I felt light and started to speak in another tongue. My life has never been the same and ever since then until now when I pray the Holy Ghost intercedes and prays on my behalf, for we know not what to pray for. It also comforts and leads me into all truth.
Can a person lose their salvation? Yes they can. It’s called being a backslider. It’s in the Bible that when a person who knew the Lord loses salvation they are worst of than if they never knew him and seven spirits enter him afterwards. They no longer speak in tongues or have the quickening spirit.
So I believe you can lose salvation it there is always hope in Christ to be reclaimed.

No. A woks based salvation is a different gospel ( see Galatians). The passage you referenced is that in view of our salvation, we are to work . This video should help. czcams.com/video/MZI1aRNWZrI/video.htmlsi=RX_E8HaS3yqhFLUr

One gets saved by believing in Jesus and his ressuration. So I can to faith by believing. What happens if I intentionally choose to stop believing? Would I still be saved?

What you've said doesn't make any sense. A person who truly believes in Christ and accepts Him as their saviour is born again and becomes indwelled by the Holy Spirit. You are forever changed. How would you and why would you suddenly just stop believing? A born again child of God doesn't just decide to not believe one day ...doesn't make sense. You're describing someone who was never really a believer

      @smartchristians  Před 3 měsíci +5

What would the Holy Spirit be doing in that case? Ez 36 says they will walk in His statutes. Jesus says the debt is paid and Paul says it is canceled and nailed to the cross. He is literally referring to every subsequent debt
