If I am moving windows from C to E, do I install disk genius on my e drive? I do have a D drive too if that helps

@@marshy7308 I've done it a few years ago booting the system through a USB Stick and it didn't work what so ever. I've tried it multiple times , with a few days break in between as I was loosing my mind in the process and I've given up. I decided to try one last time as a final straw before just buying a new PC altogether and this way really helped me , other than that I'm not really sure what else could be the issue. Hopefully you'll manage soon :)

I have two 10tb hard drives in my pc, both have been cleared with a fresh install of windows, only using 50gb. when I go to migrate to my new 2tb drive, it says the new partition size is 14tb. When I try it or make it 2tb and try it, it fails.
Questions i followed all but the smaller screen with the dowload progress is not showing up
This doesn't work, when i go to Windowspe i get grey screen and nothing happens

Just a newbie here, my mobo has 2 M.2 slots (CPU & Chipset). My OS is installed in my old nvme (Kingston NV2) and is inserted on the 1st M.2 slot, the shop where I bought my PC said that I should put my main nvme (OS installed) on the 1st slot. Then I bought a new & better nvme (Samsung 990 Pro).
Now my question is, can I put the new nvme to the 1st M.2 slot and put my old but main nvme to the 2nd M.2 slot? Then migrate the Windows OS to the new nvme afterwards?
Or should I do it the other way around? (Migrate OS first before changing slots)

You can do either, it won't make too much of a difference. Just make sure you keep an eye on your boot priority when you switch the slots.

Hello, I have 128 ssd on my laptop & I want replace with nvme m.2 ssd 256gb . I don't have any enclosure but I have WD portable drive.

Google the error and follow the instructions. 2 months have passed but thats the best i can think of.
is there a chance i can get help? my HDD disk is now unallocated after i used it and not there one there is 200 GB and one is it 700 GB and i cant even extend them and all the files on the one i download is gone.
I found the solution. If you go to minute 05:46, there is a setting called System partition size. I am guessing urs is set to 200GB. You can change it to the max value of your drive.
Did the whole thing twice . But always endup with windows booting of the old HDD . And in bios i dont find any working OS on my ssd . I tested with cmd and foundout the pc doesnt read ssd as bootable . So it didnt work for me ..wasted a whole day doing this

@@Cchii._ i ended up installing a fresh windows on ssd .Gave up after using 3 to 4 different programms . I think its a fault in my system itself making it resist copying and honestly wasnt so bad to start fresh I though it would be a disaster
Did you try opening ur pc and removing the old SD card before rebooting? Then u could put it back in afterwards I guess?
Plottwise .. my laptop died a week ago IC power and burnt the gpu . It was a static electricity generated from me removing and reattaching harddrive to force windows from SSD while battery is not disconnected "even though battery isnt working for long time " .. the timing also is sad since i can't buy another one soon

I think the WinPe was installed onto the C drive for some reason and now my pc is soft locked

@@_Caddac Had the same problem. ( 120gb to 1tb drive). Then followed the instructions in the link and it worked like a charm. Partition merging basically worked like OS Cloning. Huge thanks.
After everything it says it’s going to restart, pc just black screen stuck on restart. Hard reboot and the change was never made

I transferred my Operating system SSD (128gb) to a new M.2 SSD (2Tb) and coming back in the file explorer its reading now that the 2TB M.2 is only 128Gb's? When I check the partitions it says that its still 2Tb but claiming that it only has 3% space left (That's how much I had on the 128gb original OS drive) Not sure what to do here? Any thoughts?

@@_Caddac Thank you so much for the fast reply! I'm also having an issue where all my games and applications are force quitting after the transfer. I also did just perform the transfer about an hour ago so I'll be doing more trouble shooting. last thing! I ran into an issue with my BIOS system when I ran the transfer in (manual set). Where my BIOS boot options #1, #2, #3, etc. Weren't showing any of my drives or memory SSD's that I have? It might have been an issue with MSI BIOS in particular but when I googled it the solve was, "go to advanced/windows OS configuration and change from UEFI to CSM. Save, Reboot and hit F11 to select boot drive." So that's unfortunately what I had to do while doing the reboot to the new drive after the transfer which was scary asf... I guess my advice to everyone here is to make sure that your drives actually appear in your BIOS before you make any jumps on transferring first.

What if am using a laptop and I have a new drive and want to migrate the OS from the Old to the new, In my case I am using a laptop 💻, so how can i go with this cus it's not a desktop?
Unless your laptop has another slot/bay for the new drive, you'd have to use an external enclosure to do the copy and then swap the new drive in.
@@_Caddac I didn't quite get you well on using external part could you elaborate on that for a better understanding?
You will need an external enclosure to plug in the new drive via USB while the old drive is still installed.

I recently bought a new 1 tb ssd drive. Installed it on my comouter and wanted to move all the data and files from my old drive (500 GB) to my new drive. So i followed this tutorial and now my new drive (1000 Gb) changed its capacity tot 465 Gb? In my file explorer it says that I have 3,5 Gb space left. But in DiskGenius it says 465 gb left of free space. I dont know how this is possible. Can someone please help

@@_Caddac thanks for your response. I followed the instructions from that website, but it turns out that my local disk doesn't want to resize to 932 GB. Because of this issue, the free space wont 'merge' into my local disk. I'm really looking forward to your video to explain it a bit more.

You can but you should never run windows off of a portable device.

@@jeremyholcomb4539tbh I somehow got into my bios and switched the boot order from the new drive to the old drive and then got back into my PC. I was able to fix the new drive and wipe it but now I don’t want to copy the data from the old drive anymore since this issue has been a headache. I think something went wrong when the data was copied into the new drive and windows displayed that error code when booting from the new drive

I have an issue:
After i click on "OS migration" , I cant find my destination SSD. The software just tells me to "select target disk", i click the button and then nothing happens. It only shows my C drive not my d drive(destination ssd)
Drive letters are partitions. It needs to be a physically different drive.

You have to go to bios and change the boot disk
