I could never find those drawer stops anywhere so i (may) have been known to expoy a dime in the slot. it worked in a pinch. I love a natural wood top and wood have loved to see it remain natural or stained. Then you would not have had to go to all that work to fill the wood grain!
The black chalk paint turned out better than I thought it would. I think a dark dark blue would have looked well with that dresser also. I love the pulls.
Beautiful! The knobs are so elegant! The original placement of the door knobs is wrong... it should have been on the side of the door so it opens easyly. Thanks so much for sharing
Are you happy with the Wagner sprayer (usage and cleaning)? It looks like you were able to achieve a super smooth finish that a brush application could never do. Think I'll try black chalk paint to after watching this. Thanks so much
It's beautiful! I love the pulls! I tried mixing some chalk paint into my poly and it separated and became gritty no matter how much I stirred it. So I had to use just poly and that left the hazy finish.... any help?
Beautiful how easy you use the Wagner flexio. I don’t know what I did but I used black chalk paint on my dresser, I followed your instructions and when I sprayed the matte poly mixed with a little bit of paint and a little bit of water it made the dresser have foggy white lines on each pattern of the sprayer. Can you explain why that happened 😕😊
In case it's helpful, I played around with top coat in my flexio 3000 all afternoon! I finally figured out what settings work for me! Setting #4. Then, I turned the knob by the trigger, way low/out, so only a very light mist came out. I used my usual Behr matte poly, with a teaspoon of black paint mixed into the spray can. Hope it works well for you also!
It’s a surfprep sander. You can read more about it and which one I have here: arayofsunlight.com/surfprep-sander I also share about a cheaper alternative there too.

I love the black. I also love that you put the dangle pulls as they look like ear rings on a beautiful lady.

A stained top would have set it off even more

Hello. What is the white thing you used on top of the buffet? It turned out beautiful.
How do you know how much to sand? Sometimes I hear it's not good to sand all the way to the wood but I don't know why.
💜great job. Can I ask you to share what numbers you set the sprayer to? 💜

I'm having the same problem! I feel like every time I try to spray poly over black paint, it looks terrible!
