    JP60 gets my vote, it has an overall warmth that the 150 and Majesty lack IMHO. Looking to purchase one soon, although I’m thinking I will swap out the pick ups for some that I have, and air, Norton, and a tone zone for the bridge. Thanks for the video.

    @twowheels808 Před 2 lety +4

    The cleans is quite obvious. I think the Majesty sounded more balanced, and the JP60 and 150 had that snap that’s associated with bolt-on necks. My vote goes to the majesty, but maybe I’m biased since I own one.

  • @FanaticDrummer
    @FanaticDrummer Před rokem +4

    Even as a drummer there is a pretty noticeable difference. I actually think the JP60 sounds better than the 150 which is brighter and more “gainy” which has that crunchy thrash rock sound. Obviously the Majesty just has tonal resonance and nice transients which blends the two. But considering you get a JP60 for $450, its a no brainer with some pedals and a good amp.

  • @RobTackettCovers
    @RobTackettCovers Před rokem

    I like the Majesty as far as construction goes...really like set neck guitars if done well...I think they make a Sterling Majesty with US pickups...it costs more, of coarse...but they make it. Thanks for the comparisons...I will say that I thought in this video the JP60 sounded the best to me.

    Ciao Guitalian, la mia preferenza va, per quanto riguarda la sonorità, per la jp150.
    Mi sembra più precisa.
    Ma c'è da dire che ho il piacere di avere la JP6 che è una chitarra stupenda e anche una JPXI 7 corde oltre a una Jason Richardson 7 corde. La Musicman non fa chitarre, crea opere d'arte assolute.
    Ecco perche stavo cercando di beccare una JP15 ma il prezzo mi ha un po tolto l'entusiasmo 😅
    By the way great video.

    I have the Ernie Ball JP6. I bought a JP60 a few years ago so I wouldn't have to bring the EB to practice. I had the JP100D for a week and got rid of it. The bridge was set way off.The e string came off of the neck so easy that it was un-usable. The JP150 was nice, but not smoothly made, and crafted like the JP60. All in all, the JP60 is a very nice guitar. Its still one of my favorite guitars. I put a D-Sonic, and the Air Norton in it.

    Allora…Luca intanto sei un grande! I tuoi video mi piacciono molto anche se ultimamente ne fai di meno…ti rispondo in Italian perché l’inglese lo mangio poco.
    La JP60 è potente, il suono è limpido e forte e mi piace molto, peccato x la tastiera se fosse stata in roasted sarebbe stata uno spettacolo!
    La JP150 a il suono più chiuso quasi smorzato rispetto alla JP60 anche se ha il top satinato che dovrebbe risuonare meglio.
    La Majesty è potente, il suono è acuto e limpido ma preferisco il suono più grasso della JP60.
    Domanda….La JP60 c’è in altri colori? Il manico è da corsa?

    I wish they would make the American made ones the same price lol, They should, why not? I don't really care where it's made as long as it's a good guitar. But since the other one cost 4 times more it makes me think there is something wrong with the cheaper one haha. But I guess it is still a very nice guitar and I would like to play it for sure.

    • @thelickpolice1210
      @thelickpolice1210 Před 2 lety +1

      Because firstly, they're an American MusicMan and as much as I hate it, that's just how branding works and secondly, they are much better. They have better woods, better finishes, much better electronics, a PIEZO pick-up, stainless steel frets, a flamed maple neck and so on.
      edit: And yes, they're really good, I own the Sterling JP157 and it's great, I have however played a MusicMan JP15 and it just feels much better.

    The Sterling Petrucci's are all crap. The Ernie Ball MM models are beautiful amazing guitars, but so ridiculously expensive that I would never consider one. Music Man needs to get competitive in the midrange market because so many other companies have them beat by a mile. Petrucci should be embarrassed to have his name on these pieces of garbage.
