My wedding is officially a year out! Just reserved the “venue.” It’s only 30 people, so we’re using my neighborhood community center for the reception.
@@MR-df6fe Mine was very cheap; $350 per day. But I imagine they can vary quite a lot in cost. We ended up reserving it for two days so we could set up the day before and do the rehearsal dinner there.
@@salamanda11 wow that sounds so affordable, can I ask where you’re from? Cause I live in NY but we’re planning on getting married in Southern California where I’m from and already what I’ve seen is crazy expensive which is why I’m looking into community centers and stuff.
@@MR-df6fe I live in northern Virginia outside of DC. Being able to rent the neighborhood community center is a benefit of my HOA. I couldn’t have done it if I didn’t live here. I hope you can find something that doesn’t have that requirement. Good luck! 🧡
I'm getting married in march of 2022, I'm so excited. I watch most of your videos to help me alot with the months come planning my day, I also only have a budget of 6k which I'm both excited and scared.
I'm so lucky that my venue allows us to choose our catering, and that our catering encourages us to supplement our menu with our own food. Our Russian guests will all be bringing bread, appetizers, or desserts, so that saves us A LOT of money. I just signed my catering contract! And my dress arrived at the store, I get to pick it up later this week 🥰 The only vendor we have left is flowers. Only 11 more months 😂😅
I had 6 months...and 13 days..and plan everything on my own with no help or planner or timeline....it was a interesting time but made it work...while at work lol. Had alil over 100 people at our reception and 15 at our ceremony
Feedback: I signed up for the email list but I was only a month in and four months out… so now I’ll get info as if I’m ten months out… would be nice if it also asked the date so it can shorten time between notices…
Feedback: I converted the PDF timeline into an excel. SOOO helpful. I put each item on a separate line (that took a while). Might be useful to offer that format at least to your paying members! (Maybe it is, I didn’t sign up for that part since im really not doing vendors)
@@staceyharpest :) I had five months at start and four months when I found this timeline (which is great once I made it more accessible, and I did try a number of them!) It helped to also change the “months before” to fit my plan. A full PDF reader does have a “convert to excel” function, but I also had insert lines and copy/ paste text she had to have it on separate lines. Now I’m using it all the time!

Our wedding is September 10, 2023 and your master plan is such an awesome guide. We do have our venue and DJ already since everything near me (NY) is so difficult to book. Now just searching for a photographer. The amount of calls and e-mails is insane. So time consuming.
I’m so fortunate that our venue has the best wedding coordinator included in the price. She’s amazing, friendly, so knowledgeable and always happy to answer my questions. We also have a “planning meeting” 4 months before the wedding to go through every single details. Definitely a lot of trust, and therefore less stress 😅
Read your contracts - YESSSS 🙌🏼 you don’t want to be hit w/a room flip fee that you didn’t know about b/c you were too excited to sign. Ask ALL the questions, but please be kind. Confirm, confirm, confirm. Also, yep, pick your helpers. I got hit by a bunch of texts right as my MUA was doing my lashes 😆 thankfully my now SIL & husband navigated the vendors and early bird arrivals. You’re the BEST Jamie!! Love from Houston 🥰
As a person who has read a fair amount of contracts (disability human here), ask to be given time to read by yourself and see if you have any questions. Just a tip

ah i didn't know i needed to research on how to research for a wedding... i went in with 0 knowledge on how to plan for a wedding and just jumped right into planning and it was a learning curve for sure and i may be late in booking everything for my wedding that's 6 months away but oh well no do overs lol

I really WISH I would have had a planner. My wedding was last week. My photographer had the wrong date on his notes so he was MIA. If I would have had a planner she would have handled the entire situation and had 8 backups in her phone. Not just nothing on the most important day in my life. GET A PLANNER. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@jamiewolfer, what do you if you hired a coordinator and she took your deposit and then disappeared? She randomly show down shop without notifying us and deleted her email and phone numbers… so we can’t even contact her to request a refund. She did have us sign a contract and then completely disappeared. Many other brides had this happen by this woman as well

Honestly, we had a few hiccups, but our day was perfect! And I loved all of my vendors!!
