- The Castellows put on another amazing, sold-out show in Shreveport, Louisiana on the Louisiana Grandstand stage. Lily jumping around barefoot, Ellie's many rock moves, and Powell sharing a new banjo joke. What more could you ask for (especially since I don't sing over it this time)? Enjoy! I recommend y'all see these gals in an intimate venue like this before they are headlining big arena and stadium shows :)

That is way best record of actual The Castellows touring, great job .......... they have great band and chicas are simply adorable. I am older metalhead croc, but they managed quickly to revive my country and western roots. I have feelings soon they will be touring with someone like Zach Bryan or Chris Stapleton. BTW in Canada we had Shania of course and we all loved her, plus when I was a little boy we loved our Stompin' Tom Conners (czcams.com/video/UxJvrD80nJ4/video.html) - Tom sang about our country, its places, people and culture, and red dirt (just like The Castellow gals are doing). So it makes sense I'm coming back to country roots too :)

Agreed :) I was sitting back in Row G there and the sound was great ! Up front a some other shows the electric guitar and drums were high in the mix and vocals were hard to hear.

This show must have been the best show ever. I have never heard these ladies sing that good. I hope they can use that PA system every concert from now on. Sometimes it can be hard to hear what Lily sings but now you hear her loud and clear.

Indeed it was the best sound at this theatre. When I was front row at other shows the drums are very high in the mix and the electric guitar amp can be too high - they mic the amp and mix it into the house PA, but you hear it 2x up front. Definitely there were songs where I could hear little lead vocals being up front :( The experience of being close is fun though - like Lily pointing at me at the Cleveland show during Come Together singing "I know you, you know me.."... that was priceless 😀. I agree 100% this show was badass 🤠❤️

Amazing. Everything is great here from sound , light to stage design. This picture of pine trees on the shore of a pond and this barefoot forest fairy in a chocolate dress attracts attention. Indeed! I was worried that the theatre with assigned seats was going to be more subdued than the others bars I saw them play in but nope! The lighting and sound were superb and the audience really interacted well. Some bar venues had the crowd chattering during songs but in the theatre the audience was reminded by the host that Louisiana Grandstand was a 'listening' venue and everyone complied :) Lily as a 'forest fairy', I love that !!! She certainly was, hoppin' like a hare all around. BTW after at the meet and greet she had big white slippers on :) So cute. So poised, charming, and radiant each and every one of them.

I only found The Castellows two days ago on May 3, 2024, and their sound mesmerized me like nothing has in decades. I'm hooked on them for sure now. It's nice to catch them justbas they are breaking out, and am sure the best is coming. And can't wait to see what beautiful music they will create for us in the future. It's a pleasure to see them any ol time.

Thanks for sharing this I first heard them on The Highway singing Hurricane and loved their rendention of it and have been hooked ever since. Plus they seem like there are just plain ole southern girls who make great music.
You're welcome, they deserve recognition for their talent and efforts. Their original songs are great IMHO .. those are on the EP and new ones are sung live on the tour. The new Miss America should be a hit for them. They are role models these southern girls :)

I agree. Others too - lots of views of the acoustic sets I posted. I'd see them play unplugged for the whole show :) IMHO Miss America is really a gem - the lyrics deliver a deep observation in a subtle way with a great metaphor (young miss = USA). Melody and harmonies are great. I added it to Ultimate Guitar so others can sing and play the chords. Sheltered is a gem too 🤟

It is a band that is gaining traction and looking good. But you guys need to have the other two girls approach their mike stands and sing ALONG WITH the lead singer.... more often. Also, all three girls need to sing with more volume and POWER. Ya look great on stage and you're all getting better by the day.

It was a great venue for lighting and sound, and the band really worked the stage :) As usual the gals waited to meet all the fans at the merch table to sign things.
How I wish I could hear the lyrics throughout… the instruments are encroaching maybe? … their beautiful voices and vocals are then lost or more like muffled. The Castellows deserve excellent attention, recognition and respect for their own work ethic. The sisters are awesome as is the band. Thank you for sharing you all!

The mix can be off at the live shows .. they don't have their own sound crew and use the venue's guys (so says Lily in the new @likeafarmerpodcast interview) - up front the guitar amp and drums can be too loud in the mix since they are mic'd thru the PA too so you hear them twice. Shreveport was actually one of the better mixes but as you say, more banjo would have been nice :)
