Schools2030 India Innovations: the Volunteer Learning Activity Centres

In response to the pandemic lockdowns, the Aga Khan Foundation worked with communities in Bihar through the Schools2030 programme to find innovative ways to keep children learning. The Volunteer Learning Activity Centres were outdoor small classes, staffed by young volunteers from the community. These covid-safe classes allowed children a space to continue learning outside of school, and elevated the self-esteem of the volunteers.
