    I met Jerry Goldsmith once a while back. I told him, “I’m a big fan or your scores, especially ‘Rudy'.” That seemed to get his attention as he looked me in the eye and replied, “My favorite too."

    That's very nice, Christian. Interesting to add the more extreme delay/reverb to the instruments. I think that's part of the appeal of the Studio series products for me. Being able to control the ambiance without it being recorded into the samples, provides lot's of creative options. Congrats on the completion of Studio Orchestra.

    I think you really nailed that late 90's drama score sound! It can't be easy presenting your compositions in this format for all to comment on, etc so thanks for this ongoing degree of courage. The library sounds really magic too.

    Wow. That was powerful. SStO is my first big orchestral library and I’m finding it quite challenging to learn, but it’s great to see what it’s capable of. Very inspiring! This is not really what I was envisioning using the library for, but it’s the first time a library walk through video has had such an emotional impact on me.

    • @TheCrowHillCo
      @TheCrowHillCo Před 5 lety +3

      Jonny Reid did I remember this right, I also love that when you book euphonium players you need to ask
      If they’re Euphonium players or trombonists doubling because the latter don’t like it transposed?

    • @jonnyreid7823
      @jonnyreid7823 Před 5 lety +1

      Christian Henson Music precisely. There are many euphonium players who converted from a different instrument because its music can be written in both treble and bass clef. In the last group I was with, it was a strange transition because I read both, but had never read treble clef while playing a euphonium. Fun little challenge to get the gears churning.

    One of your best in my opinion. Maybe cheesy, but as you say, feeling is being somewhat left aside in the age of the epic Hollywood score - topic for another time maybe. The winds will complete my studio collection, thanks to everyone at spitfire for the studio orchestra. Its fab! 😁

    I am just starting out with film composing and currently finishing the score to the film 'The Arsonist' for September all on Garageband. I'd love to upgrade to this with Logic Pro X. How much control do you have over velocities? I noticed the second trumpet note was much brighter. I love this American patriotic and "cheesy" style so thank you for this video.

    Your piece reminded me of James Horner - Apollo 13. I want to write this good.
    I use notation software with the NI VST libraries; but it just doesn't seem to get even close. Seriously looking at Spitfire! However, is there any way I can get to this level on my current path with notation software; or do I need to just commit to using my DAW and a controller to get those great nuances?
    Cheers!

  • @jeremiahis
    @jeremiahis Před 5 lety +3

    Does “cheesy” mean ‘emotionally suckered into something beautiful (and God-forbid...tonal...gasp)’? If so I guess the word works but not if it means anything else with which the word is usually associated. This is certainly great...and emotional... stuff!

    550 dólares por esa librería pobre de instrumentos y ajustes ???? SONUSCORE te ofrece la ORCHESTRA COMPLETE 2 por el mismo precio y esta mejor organizada con mas presets y ajuste de instrumentos, listos para que el productor musical tome lo que necesita para su creación.

  • @LionDestructorofEkumenizam

    les deberia dar verguenza de vender ese producto tan caro y pobre de versatilidad musical, demasiado costoso para pagar por algo tan ruin y escaso de opciones. mejor me quedo con ORCHESTRA COMPLETE 2 de sonuscore
