It is REALLY spooky how Sunset loses all her memories of her human life. Imagine waking up *YEARS* later in a totally foreign body in a completely new world. The music and that concept is so creepy, and definitely the best part of this episode

Not to mention her age. By what kind/how much memory was lost, we can assume she now thinks she's a filly. Or at least, her memories stop there.
So basically, imagine popping out of existence in middle school and waking up in a high-schooler body in a whole new land.
Oh, dear me. I love this scene, but at the same time, it's so painful. I just realized something, scrolling through the comments and re-watching this. After her memories are taken she says: "This isn't Canterlot. Where am I? Princess Celestia? What happened to me?! Somepony help me!" At first, I thought nothing of it. Then...
In lore, Sunset Shimmer knew of the human world and ran away from Princess Celestia a vindictive, power-hungry pony. So she must have been able to adjust fairly quickly, especially with her perception and deceit. But here, she doesn't know where she is, she doesn't know _what_ humans are, what happened to her, she uses Equestrian lingo, and she's calling for Princess Celestia. So, all of her "high school memories" must have included her time as Princess Celestia's pupil. What we know in canon was that Sunset was Princess Celestia's student a bit before Twilight. Since Twilight became her student as a filly and got her cutie-mark then, and Twilight and Sunset are roughly the same age, we can assume that her "high school memories" included her time in Canterlot learning about magic as Princess Celestia's pupil.
Meaning: _She thinks she's Apple Bloom's age._

This is another good lesson for us introverts (and ambiverts) out here. Wallflower was "invisible" because she erased the awkward moments she didn't want people to remember. This shows that even those moments we wish we could erase help us build relationships with others.

Watching Sunset lose her memories was heartwrenching cuz it shows how far she's come and has learnt to be a true friend by sacrificing her own memories but why the heck is NO ONE talking about Pinkie interrupting Twilight's usual dramatic "Friendship is magic" speech to the villains just so that they could quickly deal with the girl who stole all the good memories of Sunset and erased all of her pony friend's memories?!?!
Like damn,Pinkie Pie of all the girls is the one who had her priorities set straight which was help her friend get her memories back?! You can tell that when Pinkie is seriously straight down for business,She ain't joking no anymore. Respect her for that,She's the true friend here?!

Good observation, but I don't think Twilight was necessarily making a bad move by doing a moralistic speech. Intimidating the enemy might be one of their strategies. Who knows, it might sometimes be enough to defeat the enemy, or at least make them more clumsy due to fear.
That said, any "Magic of Friendship" is meaningless if there is a character who can erase friendships in a snap.
At least in the first two EQG movies, both Sunset Shimmer AND the Dazzlings had to put in the work and use their own inteligence in order to destroy friendships, whereas Wallflower just happened to find a magic object that can do it instantly.
I'm not sure if that makes them LESS powerful than her because it took effort while Wallflower could do it effortlessly, or if it makes them MORE powerful than Walflower since they didn't need magic in order to do it.
What makes it even more interesting even is that the villains in the first two movies used strategies employed by real world political tyrants.
Sunset used the "everyone is too afraid to stand up to me" approach, usually employed by dictators to stay in power.
Adagio, on the other hand, used the "divide and conquer" strategy, getting everyone to turn against eachother with provocative taunts and pumping everyone into toxic overcompetitive sports team mentality.
Sunset's strategy is basically the same as the one used by most totalitarian governments, such censoring and threatning to hurt or screw over anyone who stands up against her, while Adagio's strategy is VERY similar to american politicians (get the populace to see eachother as enemies, so that corrupt politicians can screw everyone over because no one is paying attention to their actions).

Imagine what this must’ve looked like from the Mane 6’s perspective. To everyone but Twilight, the school’s mean girl, who tormented them for three whole years, willingly gave up everything for their sake. And to Twilight, a near-total stranger made that sacrifice.

This one really makes people realize that Sunset was in the human world for so long. When her memories were taken away, the only person she called out specifically was Celestia. Which gives a sad idea that Sunset really was alone and wanted to learn beside Celestia. I'm glad Sunset is in a better place now.

This is one of the greatest things Sunset ever did. She gave up everything for her friends. Think if Sunset failed and her friends found out latter I bet they would be broken for how they acted and failed friendship. I bet they would part ways out of guilt after dealing with Wallflower.

The amount of glazing Sunset Shimmer had is INSANE and yet this season took it to the next level. Just how far she has become from a main villain arc in the first season, to the most precious main protagonist in this season.
Honestly, I find Wallflower to be quite relatable. The feeling of being ignored and people not knowing that you exist, its honestly heartbreaking. I'm glad this girl got redeemed at the end of the movie.

WB admits that she been using the memory stone for mundane purposes until Trixie give Wallflower a motivational idea at the beginning of the sixth movie when TL burst into the yearbook room that she's bummed at the main group when they refuse to put her in this year's yearbook as the title she want to be called that TL reminded everyone there that Double S used to be evil when TL picked up an old yearbook of that and when the main group throw away that old yearbook onto the floor that WB picked up that book while TL talk about revenge and leave WB in the yearbook room alone in the dark that have WB to make a despicable decision that WB beat TL to it and then she made another one when Double S try to peacefully reason with WB hoping that would make her really satisfied.
Well, it is WB's fault for the massive memory loss throughout CHS but it is Trixie's fault for motivated her to do so.

I got very uncomfy when sunset's memories got erased lol- but this was my favorite series ever!
Wallflower Blush remembers me a lot of Max Dillon/Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man No Way Home. A shy guy who considered himself a nobody except for the protagonist (Spider-Man and Sunset Shimmer), turned his/her enemy for wanting more attention and almost killed him/her in a confrontation. In the next encounter, Parker and Sunset manage to make him see reason and both Max and Wallflower redeem themselves.
