Another epic. I have a more informed view of the pathfinders and their value in combat and during the campaign. Worthy special forces if not in name. Also, the Hercules transporters providing logistical support over vast distances and without air cover. No losses ever recorded. Brave and skilled airmen. Certainly enriching to experience military history first hand. Enlightening. The sacrifice made by the wives and children of the men serving. The stress and fear, followed by relief and joy when their loved ones returned unscathed from battle can never be discounted.

You are welcome sir. I have often wondered why Major Pierre Franken (artillery forward fire controllet) was never decorated for valour or an equivalent exceptional service distinction award, given his outstanding contribution during the campaign. The man deserved it! What a shame.
