2. Five benefits I have found from doing this every day
The scientific reasoning behind walking on an empty stomach:
Because you haven’t eaten anything right after you wake up, You have very low blood sugar levels and glycogen stores.
Glycogen is carbohydrate that is stored in the liver and muscles, which is the fuel that you use during exercise.
After consumption of your daily meals, the average body has enough energy in blood sugar and glycogen to carry out 65-85 minutes of exercise.
So when you are no longer feeling sleepy and you do your cardio exercise later in that day, you actually have to burn through all that energy stored in glycogen before you burn through your stored fat.
In conclusion:
When you engage in moderate cardio on an empty stomach, you will burn through the small amount of glycogen you have stored and start burning your stored fat much sooner.
Hoped this helped any future demi-gods out there to adorn their almighty Greek status!

@@Xertzzz123 Before, during and after, it's important to me to stay hydrated and drinking a good amount of water also helps me burn more fat :) water is zero calories and requires calories to process so it's an effective fat burner in itself. Americanos (coffee) are my personal choice. Great fat burner for me :)
Thats how I lost most of my weight walking on an empty stomach up to 2 hours mostly and I hardly feel famished

I wake up at 4:45am everyday.
Brush my teeth and wash my face.
At 5am I go for an hour walk before eating.

It's honestly one of the very best things you can do for yourself. Right when I wake up, I drink some water, plan my day out then head on outside for an hour+ walk. Good video.

I just started morning walks on empty stomach for weight loss. I do at least 3 kilometers... I find it so refreshing and cool...makes the rest of my day good and better. Your video was so encouraging ... Thanks

I thought you all might appreciate this - while listening to Robert Greene's audio book "Mastery" during my walks he mentions how many of the world's masters' no. 1 habit was walking. They would frequent the town or nearby forests and this would serve as inspiration for their creativity and fuel their ideas. Conclusion? There sure is something to purely walking if it created some of the greatest minds to have walked the planet.
Oh yeah, I'm a big fan of Robert Green. I haven't listened to Mastery yet, but it's on the list 😉
I walk 2 1/2 sometimes 3 hours any morning i haven't worked the night shift which is roughly 4/5 mornings a week or everyday if I'm off. It get's you up and dressed with purpose, the mental and physical benefits are very real. Many say it's the best allround exercise which I think is very accurate.
Always on an emty stomach for same reasons and walking has something spiritual about it, it's very humbling to walk for hours.

I have just begun walking two days ago. I noticed the beauty around. Little suirrels and birds around. Yes, there is something spiritual about walking.
I have just begun and I feel a little tired almost all day. But yes, mentally I am composed and happy too.
I pick my daughter up from school everyday. I get there an hour early so I can take a 45 minute walk! It feels great!

I'm a senior , and I walk rain or shine on my screened in poach;,which is the length of my home. I'm surrounded by the flowers, I enjoy the
singing of the birds and the fresh air of the breeze . It help me to focus on what is truly important in life . I do this and follow up,with coffee or tea
on my poach as I send text messages to family and friends to encourage them. This is oh so good!

I've been doing it for years, there's many reservations by me,everyday when I wake I have alot of water and some apple cider vinegar, then the mini adventure begins, great for body mind &soul!!;)

I live in Florida where it is too hot to walk outside most of the time. I put off not wanting to walk because of it but then I decided to get a treadmill. I station it under the ceiling fan and I walk 100 minutes all at once at 3.5 miles per hour which is 5.25 miles. I do it on an empty stomach and I am living on 1400 cals per day. I am 62, 180 lbs, and mostly sedentary but a week ago, when I started this plan, I was able to do the whole walk. Today is day 7. I want to lose 50 lbs and hope to reach that goal this year. I plan on doing this everyday from now on.

Thank you for sharing this video. I utilize walking, versus running, as my primary way to exercise daily. I know for sure that I have the same interest you do; and that is to go out and explore areas around me. Shortly before I found your video; I found out that there will be a National Walking Summit in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. I didn't know that we had such an event in our state, let alone our country. The walking summit is September 13-15, 2017. I really hope I can go to some of the events in September. Thank you again for posting this video. Keep up the good work!

Good for you. I really appreciate this video as I do this every day as well. (30 min). I live on Lake Superior and being peacefully alone in nature is so healing. Not only am I physically fitter, my anxiety and depression has been much more manageable. Great video.

A positive simple video
Hey everyone thanks so much for watching - I'd like you all to know that I plan to continue uploading soon. Unfortunately I have one ridiculously busy life - I'm a support worker, vice chairman of a charity, adult instructor for army cadets, saltire ambassador and ontop of that, I workout constantly. Honestly, I don't know how my girlfriend puts up with me xD Pretty soon all of that will be coming to an end as I plan on going on a gap year with her - I'll be visiting several places in Europe and uploading my adventures daily if possible.
Stay tuned as I plan on making many more videos such as this including my workouts, diet and how-to's mixed with some vlogging.

Loved your video, I used to walk a lot when I was younger and even in an inner city environment there was always something to see, ginnels and alleys to investigate, little streets and roads to mooch down, you have inspired me to get out again, maybe will be able to ditch the walking frame in time!
I've been a support worker for a long time now and I completely understand all the feelings and emotions associated with your comment. Physical ailments included(where possible), walking makes a person young again, I promise you. When I was going through some of the hardest things in my life, walking kept my inner child alive. Do it for long enough and that childlike sense of wonder for the world and the drive to explore comes back 😊

I also have been exercising and walking vigorously in the morning on an empty stomach, but it was because I’ve implemented intermittent fasting. Anyway, I’ve been surprised that my belly fat has gone away as fast as it has. I think you just explained it to me.

Thanks for the video. After listening to Dr. Eric Berg, he points out that the first 20 minutes just burns of the sugar in your blood and everything beyond that is bonus. I agree with you about the empty stomach factor and thus my morning test brisk walk 1 hour and 32 minutes. Berg also commented that results always have an 18 to 48 hours delay in all cases whether hard cardio or soft. Any how dude ... good job.

I walk 2 to 4 times a day everyday sometime on weekends for about 3 hours to my nearest grocery store,I used to hate to walk short distances...but now that I m older I enjoy the long distances walks.

Im doing the same each morning its better than running. I agree about an empty stomach I eat when I'm done and a light breakfest and coffee so far I'm lossing weight and its winter so its treadmill for now until spring

Clem Mahabir walking out when it's cold will make you lose weight incredibly fast due to the body expending energy to keep itself warm. Food for thought :)

Walking an hour on an empty stomach is ok because it’s not as hard as running, weight training or any other intense workout. Just as long as you eat right after. For intense workout you definitely need fuel.
iv been doing a 15min walk everyday for awhile now going to up it to 30-45min working myself up to one hour, thanks for the inspiration :)

I do it all the time and sometimes run or bike gently. Fasted workouts are awesome if you do it properly.

yes i love walking do a lot of the walking videos on you tube indoors as my area is very industrial no lovely sands and sea by me unfortunately. BUT I still love walking. Walk the dog and occasionally walk around the block a few times.

I'm currently a house wife taking care of my 1 and half year son. So I'm not active at all. last week I decided that I wanted to start losing weight. so I started eating clean and walking more than 10.000 steps indoors. it's been 7 days now and I've lost almost 3 kilo grams. That's an incredibly good effort there and highly commendable for a mother busy at home.
I understand how the day-in and day-out family-based work at home can feel as I've been a carer for four years.
The last thing you want to do when you get home is work out or walk 10,000 steps.
I take my hat off to you - putting yourself through those hard experiences makes you a tougher kind of person.

StillGoing it's fabulous you should do it! It's a continuous way marked path from Chester to Chepstow just under 900 miles, it's incredible!!! It's killing me not to able to be doing it at the moment because of lockdown but I still walk locally everyday and get to see views of Wales across the estuary from where I live.
Love to walk more of the east coast of Scotland we know the West coast well but only done a little bit on the Fife coast path on the east.
