Hearing him shout out Snot and dedicating Denial to Lynn was amazing.
I wonder why exactly that song was dedicated to Lynn . Love it gave me cold chills though
It's a goddamn crime these guys aren't so much bigger than they are. They are the absolute best live band I've ever seen in my life.
Agreed
Saw them live in 2002. I still have the scar on my left arm from tripping on the curb in the mosh pit. Ah, Street Scene in the heart of downtown San Diego.
agree. Saw them in LA 2011 and I couldn't believe my eyes. One of few bands that got me paralyzed while wathing. Jaw dropping.
Dude I know such a great band
Had the privilege to see them live 8 times and do security for a few of their shows at the former national concert venue, Piere's. Fucking brilliant band and good people off stage.
Sevendust was deffinatley up there with slipknot and korn as far as quality goes, they should have gotten so much more attention.
Solid band.
They had my full attention 😂 I was a teenager in highschool ❤
The world wasn't ready for them then and probably barely now
STILL THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD LIVE!! THE FEELING IS SOOOO F.N. REAL INCREDIBLE!! FOREVER \7-DUST/!!!!!😎😈☝️🤟🤟🤟
They are better than both honestly
That guy who introduced them.... He needs a cough drop or twelve.
I think his voice was rooted from too much announcing
This was the last day of Woodstock. Guarantee his voice was fucking fried from introducing all the bands.
"Sevendusss"
louie beansh????!
@@voncunth212 what a mushmouth he is. I hope the first few rows had spit guards.
Proud Sevendust fan checking in 2020🤘
Ray CharlesWS6 hell yeah bro, likewise
This drummer is Morgan rose and his wife is rayna foss?
I think every Sevendust fan is looking at this in 2020 because everyone is sitting at home doing nothing. Haha. Love Sevendust!!!
🖤🤘🖤🤘🖤🤘🖤🤘
🤘Same✌
That frontman is the shit. What power this band has.
Every time I've seen him live he sings so loud the speakers distort
They still have that same energy and power to this day. Not very many bands can say that after being around for a while.
Lajon is one seriously underrated singer/performer/showman. To me is baffling that they weren't/aren't even bigger. The new album seriously kicks ass!
DEFINITELY
EVERY album kicks ass. Idk how they do it.
@@Muzikrazy213 What’s your favorite 7D album?
@@Ronnie.Raymond I'm partial to Next due to it being my intro to 7D
and a monke
I love how humble and kind these guys are. All positivity, no matter how heavy the music. Lajon has one of the best rock voices of all time.
Agree with You 🤘
Back when flame shirts and dyed blonde hair ruled the earth.
Flavortown
Haha absolutely my first thought
JNCOS
I had many flame shirts and two pairs of flame JNCOS
Ricky from TPB approves
Guy Fieri on guitar! Dee Snider on drums! What a super group!!
Funny they were managed by Jay Jay French of twisted sister at the time. Robbed them blind!
Where is clint
Yeah, the guy fieri guy just couldnt quite pull off the nu look.
Drums player is Morgan Rose...
@@garrettrussell4434 with the black shirt red flames on sleeves stage right
Most underrated band of all time.
Seen them live many times at ozzfest & Washington state they kick ass most people think guy that sings is a white guy but they said no way & I said yes way Lajon Witherspoon is a awesomeness heavy metal singer
Theyre up there for sure
I’m on an obsessive period with Home. Must’ve listened to it around 30 times in the last 4-5 days. That’s why I’m here, love to these guys all the way.
Look at the rainbow, LOOK AT THE FUCKING RAINBOW!!!
*Playing a song called "bitch"*
Lajon: Look at the rainbow!!
One of the best, most consistent, underrated bands in the history of hard rock/metal. One of me all time favorite bands.
20 years later and they still put on amazing shows
@@aprild9577 I agree!
They have an amazing stage presence, an energetic performance. I've seen Sevendust a few times back in 98-99
in smaller nightclubs. These guys smoked with us after the show and talked music . Really nice dudes.
Lol, I remember being surprised by how short he was.
Same here but in Memphis. Its awesome how many fans they made feel appreciated and cool by sharing a few minutes and a smoke!
Sevendust was heavy as fk man
Legendary set. THIS is what current bands should observe and *attempt* to emulate...
Exactly. So much cookie cutter crap nowadays. This is how the fuck it’s done. This show is the reason Sevendust exploded. 70,000 people jumping to “Rumblefish” is pretty good evidence of that.
Fun fact, I traded a new found glory cd for the sevendust home album in 2000 when I was a freshman. Best trade
Not for nothin but Morgan Rose is a beast on drums.
I've met him
No he isn’t;he just flails around. He’s nothing special at all. If you wanna see drummer check out Alex Bent
You're high. Morgan is incredible.@@adamforbes656
I agree with Stephen,Morgan is a beast on drums. My favorite drummer ever.
He has a face for radio for sure.
Lejohn has always sounded so good live. The audio on this is fuckin amazing.
Sounds almost identical to the recording. What you see is what you get.
It was so hot during those 3 days. I remember it was nice when these guys performed 1 because it rocked & 2 it like started to rain just a little & cooled off some. Man I tell ya it was a crazy 3 days.
I bet
Yea it was hot....sun was brutal and no shade. One of my best memories
I was there too. 2nd stage on 3rd day, very much the metal stage, was a great way to end it.
His voice is fucking crazy!! I fucking love it
Are you ready to rock SevendUUUuUuUuUst!!
My favorite band EVER.
Same here.
my 4th favorite group of all time 🤘🏼
9:00 Starts talking about getting high
9:40 Sparks up joint
10:00 Jumps off stage to smoke joint with audience
What an awesome fucking guy.
Such a hero LOL
A true man of the people
I agree
That was not a joint, it was a damn taquito.
Bro security tho 😂🤣🤣🤣 that shit was hilarious
I keep getting chills all over my body.
See a doctor
Wouldn't mind hanging with Sevendust. Lajon seems like a cool guy
Aaron Rouse they're super nice people.
Ive seen the 14 times!! One of the best days of my life was in Norfolk, Virginia at the Boathouse 2001. They were touring with Powerman 5000 and Drowning Pool. We had a little special "Gift" for them....The G13 Govt Bud back when Medical Marijuana was just taking off... and we hung out and Blazed and Lajon gave us some homemade cookies his mom baked for the band!! Never gets old telling that story!! They're coming back to the 757 on Cinco De Mayo!! Super Stoked!!
Aaron I know your comment is 3 years old but last month, I had meet and greet passes to their show.. met the guys and they were all amazing took time to know our names...well after the meet and greet, I walked down the street to BK.. ordered my food and sat down.. 5 mins later I hear "hey man this seat taken?"I look up and it was LJ. I said no man help yourself... his security guard goes" LJ i dont think we have time.... " he goes bro I have time.. I wanna chill with Brandon... and he sat there for 20 mins me while we ate and talked about life a d family and weather... it was great.
Oh man, I have been super lucky to have met and hung out with all of them many times over the past 10 years. I gotta say that everyone is correct who says they are the most down to earth and humble guys. Seriously not gloating as I am just happy they didnt turn out to be dicks. You know how they say "dont meet your idols"? Not true with these dudes.
I wish Lajon was US President, for real. He would be 1000 times better in the White House than that Trump joker. Lajon has no political experience, but hell, neither did Trump.
These guys were severely underrated. Like the talent here is so fucking overlooked
Credit is due. TALENT!!!!!!!
Here after looking up the full lineup after watching the Woodstock 99 doc being a Sevendust fan for almost 20 years. Knowing the breadth of what I know now, I'd still buy tickets to the shit show just to see these maniacal magicians so early in their careers. 7D4E🤘
If youre ever at a festival and sevendust plays, look look around the stage. Every other band always watches Sevendust
sevendust still testing down clubs 17 years later...sick band, legendary vocalist....the fucking kill
They and Nonpoint are 2 of the hardest working bands ever.
Underrated Band
SlayerMegadethAnthrax MetallicaBigfourThrashMetal very under rated band
Always rock it STRAIGHT LIVE!!!! OH YEAH!!!😮
He has a fuckung great voice!
Sevendust say hallo Brasil!!!!
I was there ... like 3 rows back. First time I heard them and was blown away. Been a huge fan ever since
so lucky you got to experience this 😭 did you also see korn ?
@@vamp1raa yep
@@kevinrosner8676 how was it? saw clips and the crowd was wild
@@vamp1raa it was crazy and beyond hot. I wasn’t up front for Korn. Limp Bizkit was probably the wildest and it’s 10x worse than the videos show. I started about 20 ‘rows’ back and ended up about 100. You couldn’t move, the wave of people moved you. I thought I was gonna lose my sandals and I literally picked up both feet off the ground and move about 50ft in a minute. During Godsmack two of us were up against a fence with girls it front of us and it took everything we had to keep them from being pinned against it. The looting was the safest part of the weekend. It lasted until about 3am, many hours after last set when National Guard showed up. They had every street blocked in town (cement barriers and snow plows) and the only place you could drive in the morning was directly to the interstate. Outside of heat exhaustion and dehydration it was TOO much fun.
@@kevinrosner8676 omg that sounds like a such a crazy experience is it also true abt the gang rapes and stuff happening tho?
i recently walked into a BP and met morgan rose standing in line. He was a super awesome guy.
Scotty 2 Hotty on guitar
Drummer shreds hard af 🔥
What a badass performance!
SEVENDUS FORLIFE! YEEAH!
I wholeheartedly agree with everyone else that thinks they never got the attention they deserved. Sevendust will forever be one of my favorite bands. I took my buddy (who only knew of them from their hits) to a show of theirs a year or two ago now and he had one of the best times at a live show ever… they still kill it to this day! It was assigned seating and Lajon said “fuck that, come down here and party with us” and me and buddy wasted no time rushing to the front because fuck assigned seating at a metal show, or at any show for that matter. 🤘🏼
I've been listening to Sevendust since my junior year and still listening until I die
Are you ready to Rock?
Are you ready to Roaaaagggghhhhhcccck
Sevendugggghhhhhhsssst🤣
XDD
Can never see these boys enough, Sevendust rules. I have seen them 7 times and they never disappoint.
#SevendustRules
Man, that was a great show. Nice to reminisce. That was a bit before everything went south. Best show of the festival!! Still a fan all these years later!
Happy Woodstock '99 20 year Anniversary!!!
I was at this show and it’s one of my favorites I’ve ever seen. I love the energy of the great Lajon Witherspoon, especially when he went into the audience to smoke weed. Substances and genres aside- as a musician, this was a very influential moment of the importance of connecting with the audience.
agree with you
Never gets old 😍
Now this is the Sevendust i love. I love the agressive distorted singing by Lajon, what he stopped doing more and more :(
Didn't know Guy Fieri plays for Sevendust
Haha!
lol
;)
zellarsDD777 Lol
hes also the drummer for oleander
These guys have a great energy during their live shows. Saw them for the second time at the Rockfest in SA 2 weeks ago. Can't wait to see em again!
Lajon is such a beast!
Saw them this same year in Oakland, CA for Warped Tour. Mind was blown as a kid in HS. First time hearing them and seeing them. Good memories
The two bands for me that really came to mind at Woodstock 99 were Reviele and Sevendust. Sevendust busted into some Pantera and the crowd went fuckin mad. I mean if your going to invite metal into your little hippy party, you might aswell invite the best.
I've spotted a man of taste with that down pfp
Man, Reveile theres a blast from the past
I like all they're albums honestly.iv been listening to these guys sense i was 14.they're still making music to this day.
during Home period Seven Dust was in my top 5 above Biohazard Disturbed Staind Deftones Primus Helmet Downset Prong Rollins Band alongside Hed PE Stuck Mojo RATM Tool And Down - Pantera on top.. what an era still goose bumps i was honoured to witness all those albums and bands
Great band. Awesome drummer.
Not of this world. One of the greatest bands of all time.
Lajon is a beast!

These guys should have been on the East Stage. These guys play hard.
SEVENDUST!!!! 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥I played the hell outta this album
Jealous of anyone who was at this show Sevendust performance was epic 🤘
Yea but you had to waide through shit first
nice
That's a tough one man. Their catalogue has gotten ten times better since then. Waffle, Decay, Splinter, etc. Rumblefish though is absolutely insane. I come back here every so often and reminisce.
One of the greatest concerts sets of all time
I was a fan of them before woodstock, but damn if I wasn't first in line for Home after hearing Rumble Fish during this performance back back in 99!! That song makes you wanna slap your momma!!! So good.....
man i just really wish these guys were bigger, their loyal fanbase is better than most bands i would say though. just saw them recently in NH and im sitting next to a guitar they signed for my dad in Iraq
Bro , no cap , this mf have complete control of the crowd, so intense that who ever performed in his life, will know that this stunt, is unreal, this guys are a different concept 😁from the beginning they brought some crazy stuff, no match, unique,in talent and skills, I’m proud to say we still here,Generation X .
That was a big ass joint lajon was smoking, the guy is a legend.
Sevendust most underrated band that kills it just as good as any other fuckin band out there.they put out some of the best albums and are amazing live.seen them 27 times got to hangout on their bus fuckin real down to earth great fuckin dudes.love sevendust
Lynn Strait, Sevendust ..... i love it
I’ve seen them at aleast ten times and this was the best . They really brought it .
Always a good time when seven dust plays .
That opening scream (to the song Bitch) of Morgan Rose at 50:33 can be used as the beginning of some epic shit!
Sevendust is amazing 🔥

Been rocking with 7D since day one. Just saw them again not long ago and man.. from back in the early days till today such an amazing band.
I’ve seen them a few times live! Lajon brings the energy for sure. Great voice
My god SEVENDUST are fucking LEGENDS!!!!
I have a new favorite drummer. Shit Morgan Rose works so well with the rest of the amazing talent of this band. One of the last great festivals without social media and phones taking over
Amazing band!
I love Sevendust, they're my favorite band of all time, and I'm not a guy that discovered rock/metal yesterday, I started to enjoy rock/metal in 1998. So, if you just discovered Sevendust now, don't think that this concert made honor to them, they grow a lot all this years and made such amazing and unique albums like Seasons, Animosity, Alpha, Black Out the Sun etc... And this year they released an amazing new album called Kill the Flaw that's killer
+PavaN Man I only discovered band who shares the same music like Alternative Metal, Post-Grunge and Nu-Metal since last year and I'm only 18 now. I only used to listen to the good old Heavy Metal, 80s music and Gothic Metal that's it. Now I listen to bands like Sevendust all day!
+Yves Heinrich I feel you. My generation has to be the most addicting music I've ever heard. I wish it would've lasted longer than it did. It's slowly rising again through some bands, and I can't wait for it to be big again.
Justin Underwood I'm starting a band that is inspired by Alternative Metal bands with my two fellow friends who share the same music so it's much more better and I hope that I'll rise the base of this music to get more fans to like it and not the shit that's trending today.
Sevendust will always be the best live performance I have ever seen. the energy is unreal
Love sevendust. Remember doing security! Springfield,IL
Sevendust has arrived! New year's eve 2020! 🤘
Sevendust in their prime!
This performance is so og as a millennial lord we need this back it’s so awesome
Generation X, not millennials
My bad bro I was born in 2000 and figured out I am gen z and not millennials 1983-1995
I had only heard a couple songs from them a month before. I was blown away when I first saw Sevendust arrive at Woodstock 99. Loved the nu metal percussive riffs meets groove meets Lajon's soul. Left such an impression on me. Home came out like a month later. Guess what shirt I'm wearing right now?
That’s the good shit at the beginning 🔥beast mode , 👊🏾
Such an amazing band… LaJon is such an amazing singer… I never appreciated how great of a drummer and singer Morgan is… He is snapping so hard!
Media: Black People can't be in heavy metal(sadly, this is still a true thought by society).

Seen them 3 times live. About to go to my fourth concert and they are insane live. Like freaking insane
Man, that drummer is awesome! The entire band really grooves hard. Vocals are beautiful. ❤
I know for a fact they showed people new music that day, and changed lives this is one of those bands that I hold high in regards of anything, they are straight what headbanging metal is all about
