I've had this phone for a week, and I can honestly say it's exceeded my expectations. Snappy, built like a tank, the screen is bright and gorgeous and the battery life is INSANE. I used to have a Samsung Galaxy S21 and it's amazing how good a phone can be without all that pre-installed Samsung crap running in the background. Calls are crisp and clear, and I get very good reception. Glyph interface is a great extra feature that other phones don't have and I like the added functionality of it. Yeah, the camera isn't as good as the S23 but honestly, this should be a phone first and a camera second. If you're not using this as your daily driver because of the camera then I'd say you need to re-evaluate your priorites. All in all, good review.
totally agree on the camera front id say with the price of the nothing phone 2 compared to other phones these days you can get the phone 2 and a dedicated camera for the same price as one flagship apple/samsung device if you really want great pictures you're better off just getting a high quality camera
I would have to respectfully disagree. The cameras are getting important in phones especially as basic functions are getting better and better for not only flagships, but also lower-end phones as well. Some people don't want to carry around another heavy device like a camera. But overall, I think that this startup company is very promising and is a new breath of air in this smartphone industry, where all phones are beginning to look the same. I would definitely contemplate purchasing if this company continues to innovate and later catch up with its competitors :)

Nothing really feels like the Teenage Engineering of phones (and I think they had some design help from TE if I’m not mistaken). Beautifully shot and edited video. I hit the sub button within the first 30 seconds 😊

Just one thing - the devs of apps don’t make the icons, nothing does themselves. they made icons for the most used apps, and then they incorporated an algorithm which can create icons for apps that they didn’t Hand-make. This way, every app has a monochrome icon, but some won’t exactly match some apps. Most will, though.
everyone i know including me keep phone down with display up and the AOD already can pop up app icons for notifications so whats the point of this gliff?
Nothing Phone 1 owner... Nice choice to choose a 8+ Gen 1 but i will not change mine. Camera seemed not to have made a huge gap and 778G+ makes NP1 quite smooth. 8+ Gen 1 is nice if you want to game more, have a better battery life but they need to work on algorithms for NP3 and cameras.

I can't help but notice that while reviewing the camera you said it should not be a reason for people to buy the phone, but it should also NOT be a reason for people to skip the phone. Then, in your conclusion, it definitely sounded as if you were saying the reason _you_ were skipping the phone _was_ because of the camera. I need you to make up your mind and take a stance on this. Should people skip the phone because of the camera? Or should they not?
What I understood is... He is a content creator and a camera enthusiast... So he values camera performance way more than an average consumer. An average consumer wouldn't notice that the camera is not as good as the other phones competing. So what he means is the cameras are alright but nothing amazing nor terrible to avoid this phone altogether.
Nothing phone 2 is very nice phone with complete fine UI experience and camera and performance but it's overpriced now. I'd better go with OnePlus Phone or Google pixel or nothing phone 1 instead 😊😊

You cannot put anything else on the back of phones. It's unusable. The back of the phone is the handle of the phone. I can't remember when I last saw the back of my phone. My Motorola Edge Plus 2023 is SD Gen 2
That's not exactly how prices work though. It's priced the same in india if you factor in purchasing power. The iPhone 13 has the same pricing difference to the Nothing Phone 2 in Germany than it has in India. So they translated it almost exactly to the different purchasing power.
