  • Hey y'all! No place is perfect but these are the things my clients like and dislike about living in Hesperia California.
    Hit me up if you want to buy or sell! 760-488-6025.
    ABOUT ME:
    Derek comes from humble beginnings. Raised in the Temecula area until the 8th grade when he lost his father. After the loss of his father, his family lost their home, cars, their small family business failed, and they were left with nothing and homeless. Derek's mother moved them to the High Desert to live with her family. Derek's mom then worked 40 hours a week at a laundromat and 40 hours a week at a local video store as she went on to work 80 hours a week for years to come.
    Derek was the new kid in High School, just lost his father, dirt poor and felt helpless watching his mother struggle to pay the bills. Derek started working multiple jobs right away and has never stopped.
    Out of these struggles, Derek's mental toughness was developed. Combined with a burning desire to help people and be the best he can be, Derek quickly became #1 in his office, #1 in the High Desert, #1 in Southernmost California and then #21 in the Nation for Century 21! Derek personally sold 138 properties in 2018 and 1,000+ in the last 14 years! Derek is currently the Team Lead for the #1 Team in the High Desert "De Ville Core Agents Team" at Realty ONE Group Empire.
    Derek has revolutionized the real estate industry with powerful systems and people that provide clients with an experience that has proven to be out of this world. Despite Derek achieving financial success, he is most proud of helping people. This includes his clients and the other great real estate professionals that he works with. Derek loves to hike, fish with his young son, be silly with his daughter and continues to "date" his wife.
    Now, as a successful businessman and industry leader Derek has stayed true to his CORE values. Derek is first and foremost a family man, community contributor and a man that loves to serve people.

    My family moved to Hesperia in 1968. I went to Hesperia Junior High when there was only one Junior high in town. I went to Apple Valley High school because there were only two high schools one in Apple Valley and one in Victorville. Around 3,000 people lived there at that time. A lot of the streets a few blocks off of Main Street where dirt roads that were not paved until years later. I remember when the overpass was built. I remember when there were two mom-and-pop grocery stores and no chain supermarkets. My senior year of high school we had a blizzard that stopped the entire town for several days. Hesperia is nothing like a small town anymore.

    In my area, we never really get snow only once a year and it's very brief it doesn't even pile up but it can get really cold one day in the winter and the next its like a boiling room which breaks the immersion of that winter feeling but I do love how peaceful my area is.

    Family moved there a while ago from San Diego for reasons you mentioned. I was raised there for most of my childhood. Loved it, Sold their small house in SD for a house with a house/lot ~2 acres in Hesperia and made money off of it. I now live in NM, and would move back in a heart beat if I could. Seems like a lot of people work down in SB area but live in Hesperia due to lack of employment options.

      Spencer, what’s your experience of New Mexico? How long have you lived there?

    • @spencerhamm5792
      @spencerhamm5792 Před rokem

      @@DotaApoomUs experience is good. The cost of living is quite low. I live in Grant County NM. Main complaints are lack of amenities, and travel time to get to locations. If you don't live in the Albuquerque or Las Cruces areas it seems like you have to travel quite a ways to get anywhere. I was used to being about an hour away from the beach, skiing, theme parks, off-road/outdoor recreation areas, etc. which New Mexico does not really offer except for the off-road/outdoor recreation areas which seems to be quite relaxed law wise and compared to California. Compared to CA most areas are an outdoor recreaetion area lol. I like it here, but the two places that I would move to in NM besides where I am at would either be Santa Fe or Las Cruces areas as that is comparable to Hesperia or the SB area.

    • @DerekDeVille
      @DerekDeVille  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi. Yes, public sites like zillow & homes.com will work. Connecting with a local property mgmt company is a great option also. My offices do not manage rentals at this time but possibly in the future. Does that help?
