      It is, but what alot don't understand it cost more than the theft for the resources put out to catch the thief and 9 outs 10 times they don't catch them. By the time they are called the perp is on the run etc. It's that easy to get away with theft in cities not built for traffic or over populated etc. Im with you on the theory here, but I get why this is the approach. Stop the access to get the products. What's crazy most of that stuff is over 10$ or more for that deodorant alone they showed to buy in sf when it's only like 3$ anywhere else. There are few places to buy cheap unless it's stolen in sf.

    I'm at a loss for words. Why were people allowed to sell goods that were obviously stolen to begin with and why aren't they confiscating the goods now?? If they were purchased legally they should be able to produce receipts, proof of purchase. SF has seriously lost its way.

      You live in a bubble, there are flea markets everywhere across the US that deal in stolen goods, there are also online websites that are platforms for this, Ebay/Craigslist/etc. And FYI this is nothing new, this goes back 10-20 years.

      Most of those people have a side hustle usually SSI SSDI and I would feel they would need a seller's license or business permit seeing as how they're in front of businesses that have to pay those fees they have overhead real businesses and these people don't and the cops are doing nothing about it and it's going to end up looking like Mexico or third world nation

    If only San Francisco would ENFORCE laws already on the books, so many problems would be averted. It always amazes me how lawlessness prevails in my city. You can walk into a Safeway and steal whatever you want and no one will challenge you. You can buy any drug you desire easily with no worry of the cops arresting you. You can buy stolen merchandise on 7th and Market St. What a place....

    I went to 24 st and people where selling stolen t-shirts for 15 each ,,,they get all kind of item's,,police don't do anything 😒

    Here’s a tip for SFPD: At least 20 vendors any given day at 7th/Market. They also sell farmers market food stamps on Wednesday and Sunday. Get ‘em boys!

      SFPD knows were the stolen goods end up. Last year when my car got broken into and my computer bag stolen the SFPD officer who took my report told me to head over 7th and Market the next day. 24 hours later and $250 dollars lighter I bought back my computer from a similar looking hooded and masked skinny punk like the one on the video saying he didn't like to be on camera on the video.

    Busting street vendors of shampoo, that's nice and safe for SFPD.
    They sure don't want to tangle with the sellers and fences who deal in smash and grab loot like laptops, phones, et cetera, even though they damned well know of at least two locations where it goes on 24/7.

      @@davidoconnor393 Good point! In Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Monterey Counties there have been multiple instances of cat thieves shooting at people when caught. Zero results from the cops; no shooters caught, no increases in patrol.

    In San Diego it is more discreet, you need to place your order on a MTS trolley, and they will have your goods, usually within a day. Drugs on the Spot.
