Brilliant tutorial, really well explained. Loved the detail you went into by making the base non-uniform. Managed to get a great result from following this. Thanks very much for putting the tutorial together!
hello there! your work is amazing,,i was really hopping you could do a tutorial on lightning though,,,,i was really impressed with the lightning on your film UYir
Awesome - I saw another carpet tutorial where they combed it out - which works well as a final step for this project. Unless a carpet has never been walked on it doesn't look like that. Great tutorial - really clear and great paced :)
When I export this carpet in a GLB file I only get the plane with image. The hairs are not shown in the 3D model? How can I include the hairs into my 3D model? Thank you!
This is a very useful tutorial for beginners like me! Thank you for this tutor! But I have issues on my 2.91 when I rendered it on cycles.. The hair wont rendered and it only did great when I rendered it with eevee. Do you know how to fix it? Thanks!
I know this is extremely late, but you could select the set of faces on the top year the outside and remove those from the vertex group, or simply go into vertex paint mode and paint the problem areas. Painting out the areas will almost certainly create more (since it will update every time you make changes). You'll need to go around it a few times. Hope this helps you and anyone else having this issue :)
God this was one of the clearest tutorials i could find thank you you are a lifesaver

At the last video I attracted to the wooden floor o.0
Why mine looks like an odd breeding between Noodles and Chantilly?
This looks awesome! Is there a way to optimize it for use in games?
and how can we add a pattern to it?
for example, I have a png file and I want to use it as a pattern.
when I make a texture it messes up the shape entirely, any sugestions?
Great Tutorial, but can you share the final file, i always failed to follow your instruction, bad result not same like yours.
Is the particles an actual part?
Why not also using groom?
my "hairs" are growing on my side too how can i change that? I only selected a face and not the side
