🌿💚 I love my monster's (I call them) 😊 I have four 4' bamboo stakes formed like a teepee to hold all branches together on one of them. Branches are Soooo heavy! I have two other monster's almost the same size that are her babies. I don't cut ariel roots off and they are very thick. I love them. 🌿💚🌿

Sharon Holmes, nice to hear from you. That's a great method for holding the branches together. They do get heavy! I love your name for your Monsteras. :) Great that you don't cut of the ariel roots, too! :)

I live in a tropical area so my (younger) monstera is doing a bit too well and wants to hug my wall with half meter long aerial roots, so this helps a lot with knowing where is safe to cut.

@zoruasnivy, So glad the video is helpful, and that your monstera is doing so well! They love humidity. :)

I live in a very dry area so the aerial root won't benefit from a lot of moisture in the air. Glad I can cut off those unsightly roots and not hurt the plant.

@RebelsBestFriend, I'm glad the info is helpful. Yes, the aerial roots can't do much in dry air, and they end up drying out themselves and browning and definitely become unsightly.

@@HealthyHouseplants will the plant suffer if the aerial roots are removed? Thank you for the video, great info! 👍

@@fabiolapenrod9774 You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and it was helpful. The plant won't suffer if you remove the aerial roots, so it's okay to do so. Just make sure that you water the plant properly and don't let it dry out.
