Class of '68 - so glad that the tradition of excellence continues, giving so many great memories of their HS years.
Arcadia was sure hitting on all cylinders this time, but that's not uncommon for them. What a GREAT band organization. I ALWAYS enjoy them immensely. BRAVO for ARCADIA ! Thanks to all of you for providing so much enjoyment for me.
A nice performance from an exemplary program, congrats Arcadia!!! Music213, was anticipating your recordings since early saturday evening and ended up watching other postings that popped up. By far, yours gives the BEST views!!! iI know it takes A LOT of your own time to record and upload these gems, so THANK YOU for doing these!!!
+Joseph Aragon Thanks Joseph. It does take some time, but I enjoy doing it.
+Joseph Aragon Also, my vantage point wouldn't be possible without the help and support of Arcadia Band Director, Kevin Sherrill, staff and boosters. They are wonderful people, very friendly and accommodating. They set me up with their drum major field ladder and well, as you can see, the view is just incredible from up there.
I just have to say, I know RB has an excellent music program, but I will absolutely miss seeing the royal blue and white march down Baldwin Avenue. Those that saw them, know they gave some powerhouse performances year after year.
great job
Music213, the sidewalks look fuller than normal, did Golden Valley stay overnight to watch? Wish they would have competed! Kinda sad not seeing Rancho Bernardo or Whitney on street, especially at this review! (definitely opened up spots for upcoming bands) ...at least we have your recordings to remember what great programs they were.
+Joseph Aragon Joseph, it appeared to me that there were more spectators this year than in previous years. Golden Valley HS (Merced) spent the day at Disneyland. They were there Friday afternoon and yesterday all day, returning back to Merced early this morning. Would have been nice to see them perform at the Arcadia Band Review like they did in 2013. And although RB and Whitney are no longer doing parade, they are still very good music programs and continue to perform in field (RB) and local events (Whitney).
that's what my grand daughter is in color guard and she just did two parades last wk
Typical Arcadia...darn near FLAWLESS. What's not to like? Cute girls out front and the "Hercules of Bands" following them.....I ALWAYS enjoy watching you perform, Arcadia....oh..and MORE cute girls behind the band. this is GREAT..what a show.
How come you didn't go to any of the l patterns this year?
Hi Billy. I'm assuming your question is directed to me. I had many sheduling conflicts that prevented me from attending any I pattern DM competitions this season. I'm hoping to go next year though.
+Music213 okay that's cool hope to see you some other time next year!
