  • Have you ever wondered which majors pay the most money after college? In this video, I explore a dataset that provides the starting median salary and mid-career median salary (10th, 25th, 75th, and 90th percentile). I will be using R to clean up and graph the data.
If you ever wondered or were unsure if your major would be a good return on investment, this video might be helpful.

Hi everyone! Apologies for the sound during the analysis in R. I tried to incorporate the webcam, and I did not know the sound would be that much different from my regular mic. Learning lessons for the future!
Anyways, thank you for watching! :)

This was quite informing! I'm in Europe and I would say that there wouldn't be much of a significant change apart from the fact that some of the lower-paying jobs like Spanish would probably be around the middle if you are bilingual because there are many companies that require people to be able to fly around the EU consistently. All the stuff with the STEM majors was pretty much as expected but I feel like it is because those things are "harder" to get diplomas for. Either way, great vid!

I skimmed through this, but I don't suggest someone analyze graphs and statistics and expect that they'll be somewhere in the middle. Life doesn't work that way. I ended up in the I.T. field (I.T. analyst) even though my college major wasn't one of the STEM fields. It's whatever you do with yourself. A bachelors degree isn't really training. It may get you a jump start, but nothing in life is guaranteed.

Very objective and informative viewpoints... especially at the end ow you explain how job ability is also thought to consider. Sad to see education still comes at the lowest as it has always been.

I was kind of expecting STEM majors to come out on top, there's just so much demand in this field and many business schools are getting STEM accredited
