    Pros of computer-based:
    - provides headphones for listening to avoid being distracted from environmental noise
    - results received quicker
    - good for people who are generally good in typing
    Cons of computer-based:
    - your eyes will get tired easily from looking at the screen especially reading essays
    - generally harder to pin point mistakes when your eyes gets blurry in Writing
    - facilities might hinder your performance in typing like a malfunctioned keyboard
    Pros of paper-based:
    - gets a natural feel in writing essays
    - u can highlight and scribble notes on the question paper to pin point the answers (Reading)
    - good for people who are fast at writing and has good handwriting
    Cons:
    - noise pollution during Listening
    - results are slower to get
    - those with illegible handwriting gives a hard time for examiners to read
I think i might still go for paper-based

For me the important thing in paper based test is the possibility to make some marks on paper during listening, it really helps a looot + you can start reviewing the next more difficult questions as soon as the easy ones at the beginning sections are finished.
If they give you a paper, but the answers should be transferred to the computer - then it's okay. If there is no paper on hands when you can see any question at any time - then paper based.

They do give you a paper to take notes also un the computer based, from the research I've done, and they take it and give you a new one in every section so you don't get to write vocabulary to copy for the next section. I am going to take the Ielts exams soon, and I practice online.
when I practice online, the computer is actually very silly, because when the correct answer is for example " five people " and I write " 5 people " it deducts that point because it does not recognize the answer and my answer was good.
that is why we all should do paper based IELTS because that is overseen by a real teacher instead of a silly computer.

Hi Asiya, in one of your videos you've said that you cannot actually see exact time on the clock of computer based exam (for example when it's less that 1 minute). I just accidently discovered that when you scroll your mouse onto the clock then minutes swich to minutes and seconds. I'm not sure if this is the case in the real exam but that's what happens in mock test at IDP website. Just wanted to let you know!
