    That ghosting is actually called plastically deformed die error. Its a known described error that was first identified in the UK back in the late 1920s. Australian pre-decimal coppers suffered from it more so than the silvers especially during the King George VI era.

      Technically it could be called that, but it does not sounds money catching, so Ghosting is the term someone chose.

    Forgot to mention that the 2019 IRB 5c also suffered from PDDE. The error can also be found on $1 coins but it can be difficult to identify unless you know what to look for.
