Depurplee that is so true there was one nice lady and she sold us one bag and all the other times they said you have to purchase something to get them
I bought a silver proof coin on eBay, and despite priority posting, they sent it to Melbourne, then Sydney, went back to Melbourne, then to Brisbane. I live in Canberra BTW. I contacted the Post Office, and they sent it straight back to the seller. Now I have to pay another $5 on postage.

Great vid PJ. I managed to get two sets together from going to the post office at lunch every day and buying something. I am now friends with the staff and the proud owner of about 20 envelopes

Nothing is like it used to be.
My mum worked for Arnott's years ago and would bring home rejected Monte Carlo biscuits and they were fantastic because they had too much jam and cream.
I can't stand them now the jam and cream is just so fake tasting

I gave up at the post office. The prices for 1 coin was ridiculous. Then I saw a set for $1,445 and that has put me right off. I've got 3 M's and a B and that will do. I'd rather visit the coin shop for something else. Thanks PJ
Hope you end up with the privy PNC coin buddy all rolls i got from the post office were already open an searched then re taped didn't see that till i got them home an seen the cardboard had been ripped under the tape. HH Brad
That is so frustrating and dishonest. I will be very surprised if I end up with the PNC. On another note I checked my mailbox this morning and was very happy to find a few extra coins in with the 7 o'clock. Thank you very much for the gift. Much appreciated.

Gonna complete the collection via Noodling and change checking $1 to see if any non collectors put them into general circulation.

I work in a gaming room (pokies) we had no customers 2 nights ago. The manager on duty is collecting for his son over the past few weeks I have found A,B,J he looked through $500 worth in the back room I looked through $1235 worth. All dollar coins kept in canisters of 500 OHS stopped them from being $1000 years ago. I found him G and more exciting from me a Mr squiggle coin. We both scored.
I went through a few hundred worth of dollars yesterday, found three, YES THREE, “R” coins in the one roll, only very lightly circulated.
Pretty stoked with that as I missed out on getting any from the post office.
Stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago mate, and have watched nearly all your vids. So after watching this one i was lucky enough to buy a roll and booklet through Aus Post, and lucky enough to get a privy mark A coin. My question is is it better to leave this collection in the roll or in the display booklet thingy, but just replace the privy coin with a normal A coin. Cheers mate, loving the channel

I saw this upload last night so after work today i headed into my local post office not naming it as i plan on buying the last of their stock on monday lol.
So today at first i got three rolls one each for my two kids and one for myself i went home opened them up first one privy marked "A" was like cool what luck, second roll another privy was excited beond excited third roll boom 3 for three.
Now thats just the start i got to thinking maybe there has been a mix up and theres more down there and if not i can always resell them in the folders and get my money back on ebay, so i grabbed 300 and got 6 more rolls opened them up 4 of 6 were privy marked "a" coins... So being the hard core collector that i am went and got myself another10 rolls and from that got another 9 privy coins. So 19 rolls 16 of witch were privy marked this has to be a stuff up or just arse on my behalf lol but most likely a stuff up aust post has been stuffing up big time over this year but we will see what the last 6 rolls hold when i grab them monday. And PJ i love watching your vids i learn a lot from you and ive been a mad collector for 95 percent of my life since my pop introduced it to me at the age of 5 goes to show theres always more to learn in this game. Anyway PJ id like to send you a privy marked set or two if your as lucky as i have been so do you have A PO BOX i can send them too or how do people send you things?

Well to me that sounds like they weren't distributed evenly across the country.
I've only bought one mint roll set.
I tried getting all the coins over the four weeks and ended up four short C, E, L and W. Which cost me $85 purchasing a stamp each time with a two dollar coin and then buying the folder
So to acquire a full set I bought a roll and folder.
I'm going to give my Nephew the incomplete set plus four doubles and he can either purchase the missing four, find them in change or swap the doubles for the ones he'll need to complete the set

Interesting how they spelt platypus incorrect. Although, technically, they are using it as a graphic rather than a word as all letters are upper case.
