  • On 26 March 2024, Dali departed the Port of Baltimore in the United States, carrying a total load of nearly 4,700 containers and bound for Colombo, Sri Lanka, while under charter to Maersk, with a crew of 22 and two pilots. Shortly after leaving the port, the ship lost power, but was able to broadcast a mayday call. Soon afterward, she collided with a support pillar of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, causing a major part of the bridge to collapse, with one span falling onto the ship's forecastle. None of the 24 on board were seriously injured. All moving traffic had left the bridge, but six construction workers died.

    Well the bitters are coming out now. Nice job filming the limited access to the ship. The captain has been given nightmares from the rotten scoundrel now. No fault his own. Damn containers some never arriving and so many may be an historically long delay in cargo. Few clips available across the world now . All began to look exactly the same prior to freeing her from the debriso.

      @@tomzphone Hi bud , sometimes its not just the editing but more of different types of shots, like crane shots side flight, above vertical, backwards upper vertical, people bitch and wine about anything and everything its not easy to please the masses lol. there are a lot of cool free Aerial Videography courses all over. have fun and practice will make things better. Cheers from Canada.

      @@Aerial.Imaging it's all good. I am located close to the bridge and the port, just wanted to go out and take a few shots of the ship for myself. I at first never meant to post this on youtube.

    love how they have a tarpaulin dangling down to cover the name of the ship so nobody knows its the most notorious ship in the world atm lol

    • @tomzphone
      @tomzphone  Před 23 dny +3

      don't think is covering the name. the name would be higher up anyway, where the damage is. plus you can still see the name on the back of the ship and side.

      Tarpaulin was installed to protect those working on that side of the Dali from falling debris. RIP to the 6 heroes who died.
