Thanks for this video! Watching how easy you made it look gave me the confidence to get a pair and install them myself. Always wary of drilling into your own car, but this design worked better for me considering I want to install a strut tower bar and didn't want a brace messing with the balance. It's crazy how much you realize how effortless hood struts make opening the hood once you never have to reach for the prop rod again!
Good to see this video. I just purchased a 2023 Soul Crystal Red Mazda 3 PP turbo HB. I just purchased that HKS axle back you mentioned on your last video. You said they had 2 in stock 6 months ago and last night it still showed 2. It will be here in a week or so. I also ordered the Takeda cold air intake and hood struts. I will get the hood strut tower brace ordered soon and then I’m good for a while in regards to any mods. I see you had aTexas plate. I’m in the DFW area. I have a 2020 Mustang GT with some mods and now I’m going to sell it. It was fun for 3 years and now I’m ready to go back to an auto transmission, Japanese and more than just 2 doors.
Nice video and yeah lol I'll just stick to my prop rod for now lol. I recommend the next upgrade you should get is a front strut bar.
I might get that as my first suspension upgrade on my 22 Mazda 3 hatchback manual.
Which did you go with? I was thinking of going with the Megan racing rather than Corksport, simply because I like the reassurance of utilizing all 3 strut bolts instead of 2 🤔

I just ordered a kit for my 17 mazda 6 gt. Heck my 95 camry I had for yrs had gas struts that worked great!!!
Such a great mod! My mom and sister have the 2016/2017 CX-5 and it's the same setup with the prop rod. Unfortunately, Redline only makes a strut kit for the 2017 CX-5.
By the way, even my 2008 Chevy Cobalt had hood struts... 😄
Dang!! Wish I saw this video before I bought the set I did! The one I got didn't have instructions and now I have hood struts (and a hood with two dimples) in my 22 Mazda 6 GT!
There's cars from the 70s with hoods that hold themselves up. I know of 2023 cars as well as future cars that have hood props. It's all factored into the price. I think I might add these to my 2022 Mazda3 Sport GT AWD.

I've seen videos where no drilling is required maybe check that out before you start drilling your car
Yes there are other options out there where drilling is not required.
Should of got the Autoexe. Won't need to drill nothing. Installed with brackets.
Drilling didn’t require that much effort besides, I’d rather drill then spend over $200 on hood struts 😂🤷🏽♂️
Wonder if this is a better option than the ones you bolt onto the top of the strut mount.
