@@stevenbrewer7314 It’s really not as bad as people have made it out to be… Yes, there’s a little bit more maintenance involved and of course being a carbureted engine. There is absolutely some tuning involved. I won’t deny that. However I’d like to point out that at some point every single nitro guy, myself included, started from 0… meaning I had to learn everything too. But today… With CZcams and the rest of the internet. There are so many resources for learning nitro quickly, easily and fairly painlessly. There will definitely be some days you want to pull your hair out and just throw it all in the garbage! On those days… It’s best to just put it on a shelf and walk away from it. Personally on those days I like to focus on one of my other hobbies. For me that was always music. And since I’m a drummer. That was the perfect outlet to release the stress of learning. Let me say that when I got into R/C and nitro in ‘99. It was largely because back then nitro was the fastest and most powerful R/C available. So if you wanted to be fast in R/C back then you had to learn nitro or be slow. However today I think it’s a much better environment for getting into nitro because now with electric being a little faster in most applications. You’re usually going to choose nitro because you want to instead of being forced into it because you wanted a faster model. Which gives the unique opportunity to do something only because you enjoy it! Which usually means you will be much happier with it in the long run.
I keep seeing a gas rc car in my local pawn shop that looks interesting but no controller and it’s priced at 180 wished I knew enough about them to make a offer
