new tourney ideas (sorry if they are repeats): 1. use some kind of bot to randomly pick a certain amount of people in twitch chat (maybe 8 or 16), then randomly or otherwise team them all up with 1 or 2 pros on each team 2. completely randomize all the teams after every round 3. do a 'no comms' tourney (trash idea probs) 4. one person on each team sees the location but doesnt get to guess, the rest of the team don't see the location but they have to guess based off what first person says (idk how to set this up, maybe too hard) 5. only one person on each team is allowed to guess each round (they can all discuss though) sorry if theyr all bad might comment again if i think of more later
This would be better as a 1vs1 or 2vs2 I feel like the bigger teams make it easier to just spread. I think in a 2vs2 or 1vs1 it would be a lot more about getting close and not just random guessing.

For UK, North and west tends to have smaller houses with more forests, hills and livestock, south and east tend to have larger houses with flat arable farmland, as someone from the UK. Still very hard to region guess.

What about a tournament where teams pick and ban maps? Could be bo3 with a bo5 final. Each teams get a random map final 4v4 Could also do a tournament with a set couple of maps/rules and you have to bo3 from the pool with the loser getting to pick and a coinflip to decide the first choice

Maybe let each team pick like 5 countries that they would like to play at the beginning (which do not change during the tournament to prevent counterpicking). In a match, each team chooses 1 or 2 countries from the enemy picks that then get played. If this ends 1:1 or 2:2, a tie breaker gets done in ADW (or a set country, maybe US?)
Instead of countries, maybe continents would be better. I don't play Geoguessr, I am just looking at all the tourney recaps, so that might not be possible

You always talk about how "this episode is the best yet" I have an idea even better than this: A loser's tournament; whoever loses moves on, so the goal is to guess further than the other team. However, if either team gets exactly 0 points, they are out immediately, so no just spam guessing antartica, and some actual strategy has to be used. If it would be possible, have a plugin calculate the scores of _all_ players and if _any_ are 0, that team is eliminated, would make it 10x more interesting but might not be easy to make.
I didn't really like the format TBH. Especially considering that the criteria for countries seem to be very random. You removed Poland which is hard to region guess, but you left Japan which is hard to region guess. How is that supposed to be learning when it's hugely about RNG as well?
@@georainbolt most of the rounds in the 1st game with Japan were just main island spreads either a bit more to the south or to the north, often guessing near major cities...
