Yeah that was in the summer of 2014-2015! Boozer was actually amnestied. You would have had D. Rose, Jimmy Butler, Melo, Taj, and Noah. That team had the Cavs in the ropes and would have made the Finals with Melo vs a very young Warriors team. The Knicks were garbage and Amar'e Stoudemire was a cadaver at that point in his career and got released that season.

A farewell tour is reserved for the players that will be truly missed by ALL NBA fans because of the contributions, spectacular moments, and fierce battles against opposing teams that will be forever etched in our memories Melo is none of that! People were in stands at home and away games and at home crying when Bird, Magic, Jordan, Thomas, Kareem, and Dr J because we just did not know how to watch the games knowing that they were not going to playing. Melo is not in that category......

Just speaking as commoner, a "playoff" fan, not one of the guys whose life is the NBA - I'd pay a few bucks to see Melo play one last time. I only go to a couple games a year. I don't think I've ever seen him play live before, so it'd make an alright day off to see that - but for someone like Stephen A, I get where he's coming from.
Carmelo Anthony should have took a pay cut, signed a shorter contract to make more money later, and joined Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, and if I'm not mistaken 🤔 a young Jimmy Butler to compete for a championship while he still had the chance👍🏼That was such a missed opportunity🤦🏽♂️
