Shang Tsung calling himself Damshi to fool his other self into working for him is a callback to the Konquest Mode in Mortal Kombat Deception where the Dragon King tricked the protagonist of that game into working for him by disguising himself as a being called Damashi, which why Liu Kang going “You are victim of deception, Sorcerer.” is like a hint to that.
I'm sure though that the dragon king Onaga will return in the future
Damashi is also the name of a Asian god of trickery

So basically, in addition to both endings in Aftermath being canon, every arcade ending for each character in MK 11 is also canon, each one starting a different timeline.

This is not the first time we've seen Ermac as a force for good. In MK: Deception, Quan Chi's control over him was broken by Kenshi. Ermac fought alongside Raiden and his forces in MK: Armageddon

I almost never play Mortal Kombat games, because my reflexes aren't fast enough for fighting genre games, so I don't know the backstories of most of these characters from the previous timeline. But I'm really enjoying watching the story in these videos.

I watched your first 3 videos on the MK1 story and was suggested a single video that was a movie of all the cutscenes, the entire story, I started to watch it to see the whole story, but realized I enjoyed watching you 2 watch the story as much as I enjoyed the story, so I'm with y'all til the conclusion, you guys RULE🤙
idk if yall realized or not, but in MK1, subzero's name is Bi-Han which is Noob Saibot. scorpion's name is Kuai Liang which is Subzero.
so basically in this timeline, "Noob Saibot" is actually Subzero, "Subzero" is actually Scorpion, and the real Scorpion (Hanzo Hasashi) isn't seen in the main story, but if yall watch the character endings, you'll be pleased by what you find about him. and there's two Hanzo Hasashi related endings, youll need to search up Invasion Scorpion's ending as most ending comps dont include it.

This Ermac is unstable and this Mileena is much more skilled than the previous ones. Even in the past at his peak Ermac was never untouchable. Liu kang, Stryker, Sub-Zero, Takeda and Jacqui all beat him in the past.

Unless you guys want to play through the towers yourselves, you should check out the MK1 Tower endings. There's a video that puts them in chronological order for some nice post story content.
Wait, you’re telling me they could’ve gotten Shang Tsung or Quan Chi to resurrect Sindell. The same people that resurrected her in MK 9 and she ended up slaughtering most of the MK roster….

"Damashi" is a nod to the Mortal Kombat Deception game. In that game the Dragon King (Onaga), from beyond death, manipulated Shujinko by going by the name Damashi, and had him travel the realms to collect powerful artifacts for him. Also in that game, the Deadly Alliance (Shang Tsung and Quan Chi) resurrected the Dragon King's Army in order to gain his power (the army they are animating here in MK1, is Onaga's army).

Bi Han sub zero HAS always been an asshole lol, which is why it was easy for OG Scorpion😅, Hanzo Hasashi, to be tricked into the idea he killed Satoshi and Harumi. Kuai Liang being Scorpion instead of showing up as the second Sub Zero changes quite a bit

On paper Titan Shang Tsung is more powerful than Liu Kang, but obviously in Liu's ending...Titan Shang was still defeated. Even when he was just a Fire God with no Titan powers...same when he killed Kronika. Liu is a Titan killer lol
The story gets better and better I like that Li Mei finally got her chapter to shine. As well Sindel being written like how she's supposed to be and not how she was written in Mortal Kombat 11. As well RIP to this timeline Sindel.
Much credit to the writers as well for getting Mileena the push that she truly deserve. As well finally getting a story with King Jerrod in person instead of him being shown in a picture. Shang Tsung of the last timeline being this current Shang Tsung and Quan Chi benefactor was a total disappointment. Like don't get me wrong Shang Tsung is a great antagonist. But him being the antagonist has already been done. It would've been better if it was Onaga the Dragon King who was the mastermind. The true Damashi from Mortal Kombat Deception and the not past Shang Tsung. Who would've been the perfect antagonist for Fire God Liu Kang to go against. But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day.
I think they are going to save Onaga for DLC but yea, they have ran the Shang Tsung narrative into the ground.

There are endings that show what happened to characters after the events of MK 1 and in one of those they show Onaga

You were getting the gist of it. Basically every ending in MK11 is actual canon that created a new timeline, which is interesting in that it basically created a plot hole. Certain characters from MK 11 are absent from the new era timeline that haven't been shown yet. Notably Jax, Sonya, Kano, Nightwolf, etc.
Yea and if Jacquis was canon then unless she appointed a successor then her timeline HAS no timekeeper
Characters failing to show for now isn't necessarily a plot hole. Three of the four you mentioned appear in some form in the game anyway, though not having major roles in the story just yet.

MK 9 retold the story of the first 3 Mortal Kombat games, MK X retold MK 4 and now we have Mortal Kombat one redoing Deadly Alliance and Deception...
The reason that everything being too good is bad is one you're not thinking of: stagnation. If everyone was perfect and had everything they needed: there'd be no need for them to feel like they'd need to improve themselves. So should something happen in a world like that that isn't prepared for it: total chaos and collapse. Just like if the world was too evil. Got to have that balance.
Liu Kang can't save Sindel, he did relinquish his Titan powers for most of this game... I doubt Shang Tsung or Quan Chi would wanna save her either...

I hope you guys see my comment but if not then it’s fine if you guys don’t and I will say this through I do love them being introduced to all of this again and mileena was annoying as hell to me In mortal komat x and I love those fighting scenes that morale komat does like to always how they did that and I would love to fight like they do and the scene in part 1 where Jonny was in the jungle or something kind of remind me of Indian jones 😂😂😂😂 and the magic is really good looking I wonder how they do the magic effect but they are really cool which is another thing I love about this franchise and I love the relationship between subzero and scorpion in mortal komat 11 which I guess that was subzero after bi-ha give him the scar on his eye but I am so confused about that because he didn’t have ice power in this so I don’t how that make sense and another thing I want to say about subzero and scorpion from 11 is that they deserve to be the grandmaster of their clans because they do what is right for their clans and for their own world as well unlike bi-Han he doesn’t even care about his clan just about power and himself and for that reason is why I hate his character so much he should have kill bi-Han right there when he a chance and who ever made him as grandmaster was so dumb and stupid and i think Tanya design is the only one I don’t like for me and personally I think her design In mortal komat x is better and I don’t why I just don’t like her design I just don’t but beside her I love everyone designs and that was cool seeing how kenshi lose his eye sight which is also sad too at the same time and it’s was very brutal too at the same time like wow

The new Sindel appears weak because she is not quick for violence or war like the previous one. The new Shao Khan & Shang Tsung make the same assumption about her. That is why they plan to usurp her throne.
