Mulanay is fuckn smart. Dude gets everything quick. Really concentrates and thinks on the spot. Watch other videos same thing.
Saw him at the beginning of his Comeback Kid tour when he still only had maybe 75% of the bits solidified, and he did a long back and forth with the audience at one point where he basically just riffed on the answers they'd give him when he asked questions. He also got heckled by a super drunk guy and tore into him so much (and hilariously so) to the point that the guy just got up and left the show to a round of applause from the audience. Definitely super quick and able to think on his feet.

No he isn't. Vulture called him the comedic voice of his generation. He's received rave reviews for his SNL appearance last week from LIKE EVERY MEDIA OUTLET! And when comics that have worked on SNL do a podcast, they ALL mention how mulaney is a genius and would constantly get sketches on the air lol.
