Perhaps one of the greatest relationship breakups songs ever written. Stunningly beautifully composed, very direct in it messaging and so incredibly thoughtful. Amazing and timeless.
Yup, my marriage broke up 40yrs ago & my still pain is reflected in this hauntingly beautiful song & leaves me in tears. Probably the best painful love song ever. I grew up with the Beatles & this band's complex songs are up there with the Fab Four. This is their She's Leaving Home song. Britain's second best band after you know who. Now where's my hanky😢.
We can feel so much anguish on this song, because its like a the end but not so much.

I just wish the cameraman knew the song better and got the close up shots when they were needed to convey Mark's passion whilst he was singing. He felt every word and did such a great job of telling this story. It is so deep and has so many layers, I just get lost in emotion every time when listening to it...
I played this track at home the other day. My 16 year old daughter heard it, loved it, and added to her streaming playlist. Great music and great bands always live on, and Level 42 are the best!

An absolute masterpiece in popular music. I saw them play this in the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow in the late '90s. The mix, tuning and lighting were utterly unsurpassable, and it brought the place down! Keep on doing it lads!

This performance was in Lugano Switzerland . Lake Lugano zig zags and separates Switzerland from Northern Italy . On that side of the Alps the Swiss speak Italian . Lugano has replaced some other Italian alpine lake, i forget the name , as a very expensive real estate and living town for the filthy rich
