Join me for a walking tour through the 5* Conrad Hotel Abu Dhabi located at in the Etihad Towers! Visited in July 2022.
Hotel:
The hotel is located in one of the Etihad Towers and in close vicinity of the Emirates Palace and Quasr AlWatan, however, a few kilometers away from downtown Abu Dhabi.
The hotel is equipped with 377 rooms and suites, all equipped with a TV, desk, mini bar, iron, hairdryer, telephone, 24h-room service, air conditioning, etc. The bathroom is equipped with a bath tube, shower, bidet and toilet. The overall appearance of the hotel is modern, spacious and luxurious.
The neighboring tower further offers an observation deck on the 74th floor which is free of charge for guests of the hotel.
Staff:
There is plenty of staff around (e.g., at the buffet, reception) such that waiting times are always very short. The staff is extremely (!) friendly, extremely obliging and helpful in any manner- especially Mohshin in the main restaurant! An experience we haven’t had yet in any other 5* hotel we’ve visited so far. This hotel is definitely highly recommended if you’re seeking for an outstanding and unique service experience.
Room:
Rooms are spacious, very clean and cherished. Rooms may provide a city view and/or sea view, e.g., into a set of islands located in front of the hotel. The daily room service is attentive and reliable. Bath room amenities are refilled on a daily basis.
Food:
The hotel features a total of 12 restaurants and a 24h room service. The hotel provides a breakfast option and a half-board option.
Breakfast is served in buffet form in the main restaurant. The breakfast buffet is huge and comprises continental breakfast options (large selection of breads, croissants, eggs, omelettes, pancakes, etc.), Asian breakfast dishes, Indian breakfast dishes, Arabic breakfast dishes, a chocolate fountain, fresh cut fruits, a juice bar and a lot more!
The half-board options includes dinner in one restaurants. The respective restaurants have a daily changing menu ready for their half-board guests (no à la carte (!)). Please note that drinks are not included in the half-board option and seemed to be a little overpriced (about $ 8 for a bottle of water). As an alternative, dinner is also served in the main restaurant as a buffet (incl. a grill, deserts, etc.).
Pool/Beach:
The hotel features a private sand beach (approx. 100m in length) with plenty of sun loungers and sunshades. Beach towels and cool water is provided by the hotel free of charge. The beach does not provide access to the open ocean but only to a waterway in between several islands located in front of the hotel.
The hotel further provides two pools next to the beach and additional pools in the SPA area of the hotel. A pool bar is located next to one of the pools.
