I have noticed that as the boat does not have sideways pressure with this method, we do not get the usual slick to windward of the hull. This is not so good for heavy weather.
Beautiful! Could you please do a vid on what's rolled beneath your boom & how you deploy & then store it? I assume it may be a boom tent? Never seen that before (Sorry, just a Yank!) Many thanks!

On this particular day I took a soft option and launched upwind of the destination. The thing under the boom is a tent and I will try to make a video.
