I genuinely felt so bad for Kai, his life was pure hell, people gave Damon a second chance but Kai was seen as unredeemable. He just needed someone to love him honestly
Sam Skewes Because Damon didn’t just apologize, he showed redemption and character development. Kai didn’t have any character development, even when he had a chance to start his life over, he chose to continue killing his family.

WolfBite Beta people arent born crazy it’s made. For example ted Bundy he grew up in a broken home with abuse at an early age. Jeffrey Dalmer but bullied not only in school but by his parents and his dad was abusive. Or even like it the show klaus was not born crazy or evil his parents made him that way. It’s not kai’s fault his family exiled him and singled him out bc he was different and a bunch of other things but I haven’t watched the show recently so i don’t remember.

The reason his parents treated him like shit was because they knew he wasn’t well- hence calling him an “abomination”. That’s why they had another set of twins (Liv & Luke). Yes granted that abuse made him worse, but from the get go, Kai was already a killer.

I was sad but I wasn't mad at her. I was mad at JP for ruining the story. So annoying just because she didn't make the character and has bias against Bonnie/Kat the *ONE* hot guy to show interest in her and only her has to die and become a villain without getting redeemed. FU JP.

Alright, I'm just gonna go ahead and make everybody exited by saying Kai probably isn't dead, that he may have never died in the first place. Alright, you all probably think I'm crazy but I have five reasons to back up my theory that I found in a video.
1. In one of the episodes before his dead he tricked Damon into thinking he had stabbed him when Damon really stabbed Elena. He states after that that cloaking spells and illusions are absolutely no problem for him. How come in the episode he died when he was ten times as powerful as he was in the episode he tricked Damon that he couldn't of used an illusion.
2. Yes, Damon snuck up behind him, but honestly. Damon did it at a normal speed. There was nothing to stop Kai from figuring out Damon was behind him. I mean, come on guys. Kai may be a psychopath but he's also a genius, there was no reason for him not to see the attack coming.
3. No one said anything about Kai's death on social media. Usually when a character dies and the actors are leaving the show the rest of the cast tweets a goodbye or posts a goodbye on social media. Not even Chris Wood himself mentioned Kai's death without being specifically asked. Isn't that suspicious?
4. One of Chris' tweets that was a reply to someone said something alone the lines of "that episode was sad. ------------ But you never know if he's gonna come back next season wink wink". Now that's just obvious.
5. Chris has posted pictures on Instagram of himself with members of the NEW cast on TVD for the latest season.
So yeah, I don't think he died. I think he's gonna come back and the evidence to back me up on this makes things pretty damn obvious.
I still want a kai spin off of adjusting to modern times and dealing with his new empathy. I'd love if Bonnie was also in it trying to keep him on the straight and narrow. Like Klaus and Caroline

By far the best TVD villain, screw the others, I gave up on TVD at season 5, but then I started watching season 6 and he brought the show back to life. He had a golden storyline and plot that the writers could've developed but they decided nah lets just kill the best thing that's happened since Katherine and The Originals, lmao.

Deandra Eldermire it's both his fault & isn't. He's a sociopath; like a vampire with their humanity switched off; actually more like one that just doesn't have any control of it, unlike vampires. Sociopaths feel no remorse. What triggered it was how his family treated him; like an abomination. How's he any worse than Klaus or Stefan without their humanity?? When he finally did gain empathy he was like a completely different person, until he was betrayed and trapped... again; which triggered that sociopathic side.....again.
People hate Kai because he is evil. I like him because he is funny,sarcastic, bit of an ass, and actually has emotions. Once he combined with Luke he changed and was sweet. He tried to apologise to Bonnie on multiple occasions but was turned down. Then she trapped him in another prison and he was visibly confused, sad, and angry. He then turned back into the original Malachai Parker. Bonnie fucked up. This is why i don't ship them. tbh i like Kai not being with anyone. That's what made his character. sorry this was long. i needed people to see why i don't ship them. I do ship Delena though xD
+Unknown I still ship it, but I feel like Bonnie leaving Kai was extremely out of character, I feel like things would have been different if she didn't leave him there. She's not the type of person to do that and I think the writers honestly could have done so much more with their story.

The worst thing is The only difference between Damon Salvatore and Kai Parker is the name. Damon has ruthlessly killed thousands of innocent people yet Kai is worse then him? Great logic Bonnie.
+vroom vroom My sentiments exactly. At least, Kai had a mental illness that made him that way. Damon did it because he was just lashing out and emotionally immature. He did it for attention and, particularly, because he didn't WANT to process his emotions. Kai did it because he was unable to feel emotions at all. So, logic would denote that him acquiring Luke's empathy during the merge would have given him the ability to feel and process at a much better rate than Damon fucking Salvatore anyway. BAD CHOICE to kill him, Bonnie, and worse choice by the writers not to have addressed this at some point. Damon's destruction and ruthlessness is glorified and forgiven, when he should have known better all along, but Kai is demonized when he lacked the abilities to know better. Doesn't send a good message for mental illness. The writers had a chance to address that and didn't.

Honestly I think Bonnie would have forgiven him in time if he just respected her wish to let her heal and give her space. But he was more worried about his own guilt than Bonnie healing and forcing his way into her life even though she had PTSD and couldnt even look at his face without having a panic attack. Damon and Bonnie were forced to be near each other due to their loved ones and eventually Bonnie forgave Damon once he showed he had changed. It took time- and Kai didn't give Bonnie that time so she did what she would have done to Damon years ago if Elena didn't stop her. It's not Bonnie's fault but the writers as JP is a biased mofo who hates Bonnie and any desirable man that isn't story fodder showing interest in her instead of Caroline/Elena so I blame her and her alone. Bonkai could have been amazing but as usual TVD messes up a good thing. ;_;

I'm STILL upset about them killing Kai off. Damon did similar acts of evil for years upon years and was given plenty of chances, I don't understand why Kai couldn't have just been forgiven. Millenia Watkins the director of Legacies which is another spinoff of TVD based on Alaric’s Family, says she wants Kai to come back for season 2, it’s not confirmed but she wants him to. I would love that.

The fact that Kai had acquired Luke's empathy and, thus, a new found ability to empathize, feel and process emotions only to have Bonnie brutally stab him, maliciously betray him and leave him for dead for eternity while mocking him speaks more about her inhumanity than it does Kai's.

Her actions were based out of vengeance as much as prevention, don't fool yourselves. Karma has a way of coming back and Enzo's recent death confirms that. Enzo did not deserve to die, Bonnie does not deserve to die and Kai deserved a chance at redemption...
The ones who are a persistent problem and TRUE source of turmoil are Damon and Stefan Salvatore. They continue to repeat the same patterns and mistakes, refusing ever refusing to break their patterns, because their self-absorption and own desires are always placed first above anyone else. Those are two deserve to be called out on their sins.

Once he made it known he was going to kill the rest of his family and maybe even kill Bonnie and Damon once they escaped, Bonnie did what she had to do. Remember what Bonnie said to Stefan so many seasons ago. "If Damon spills one drop of innocent blood I'll take him down". Kai was no exception. Kai threatened her and planned on killing more people so she took him out, he started everything not her. I do like Kai and I love Bonkai but I'm not blaming Bonnie for a damn thing she had every right and by Kai's own words she is brave and selfless and patient- her patience just ran out once Kai showed his true colors. Bonnie risks her life all the time for those who dont deserve it what did you expect her to do when she realized innocent people would die if she let Kai live and get out? .-.

I did psychology in uni, and in order for a child to develop sociopathy, they have to go through severe and major abuse. I'm talking abuse so major, they get post traumatic stress disorder from it.
There is also a latent genetic component. But latent means it will only activate under the right environmental conditions. Meaning if Kai was treated with love, he wouldn't have become a sociopath.
Did you know that sociopaths snap when their post traumatic stress disorder is triggered?
You might be wondering how on earth did his dad telling him he couldn't become the coven leader trigger his PTSD? I mean that's just silly.
Well it triggered it because Kai knew they didn't want him to be the coven leader, because he was a siphon. It would have reminded him of the fact they abused him, and treated him like an abomination. The defective twin that nobody wanted.
Also if I was in Kai's position and Damon and Bonnie made plans to leave me behind, just to protect the people who abused me as a child, I would siphon from her too lol.
Yet somehow Bonnie isn't evil for doing what she had to do, but then people like you have this ridiculous double standard, when you think Kai was evil, when he did what he had to do, to DEFEND himself against going through more psychological TORTURE, and ISOLATION.

He didn't have to torture Kai psychologically. He would have been isolated and psychologically tortured forever if Bonnie hadn't shown up. He could have executed Kai instead.
His father is a monster too, he's just better than Kai at (to reference Game of Thrones) playing the game. His father is better at hiding his evilness under masks of parental love, concern, and being able to manipulate his children into believing he did what he had to do, because there was no other choice.
Now I found the fact that Kai was "normal" (well normal for a sociopath) completely unrealistic, after he had spent 18 years in isolation.
Have any of you seen Teen Wolf, where Stiles has hallucination because of the nogitsune? Stiles is so scared he would scream, and not be able to sleep properly. The psychological pain that Stiles went through is realistically what someone who is isolated for long enough has gone through.

Kaira Aitken true, he and Bonnie were the villains... mainly Kai’s father was the true antagonist of the sixth season, Bonnie was just the secondary antagonist of the second half of the sixth season. It’s a fact.

For me he was the best character and when he died I couldn't belive. It was a so horrible dead. I thought that he would be the villan of season 7. The King of the whiches-vampires or something like that hahaha...
I know right Kai was suppose to be Bonnie's love interest by the show runner hated the idea way before Bonnie trapped Kai just FYI I mean seriously she said he was worse than both Damon and Klaus I mean isn't one of the main thing they teach over and over on this show that it doesn't matter the thing you do as long as you try to be truly good and selfless like Damon and Caroline not like Stefan and Elena I mean Klaus is one of the most well written tragic characters ever

This guys was betrayed by everyone who was supposed to care about him and who he thought cared about him. Seriously though, Kai didn't have a conscience before all of this. When Kai merged with Luke he inherited some of Luke's qualities, like his conscience. Even then, he actually cared, you can see the look of sadness and anger whenever he talks about how his father treated him like an abomination growing up, kind of like how Klaus was treated, except his brothers and sisters didn't help him, they followed their follows lead and treated him like the pariah. When he finally got a conscience, he actually started helping, granted it was for selfish reasons, but he did it anyway, even though there was a more direct and murdery way of getting what he wanted. His conscience was fragile and then it happened, the moment when Kai was betrayed by the only person he actually considered to be a semblance of a friend, Ms. Bonnie Bennet. Case in point, the could have all been handled differently if they treated him with compassion or at the very least gave a damn about him. And yes he has murdered people before, but how is that any different from Damon or Stefan or Caroline or Elena or Klaus or Elijah, etc, etc. He wasn't beyond redemption, if his conscience was nurtured instead of pushed aside.

I love Kai- he's an amazing complex character and the only one who made him feel was the beautiful, loyal, and selfless Bonnie Bennet. It was so obvious he was in love with Bonnie despite being a sociopath- or at least he felt something for her that he didn't feel for anyone else. But once he started pushing himself into her life after torturing/breaking her spirit in the past I knew it wasn't going to end well. Bonnie has been manipulated most of her life, risking her neck for people who never would do the same- so it makes sense she never forgave Kai especially when his guilt overcame any respect he had for her and he refused to let her live her life without him pushing himself into it. If the writers had played their cards right I would ship Bonkai to the ends of the earth (since Bamon and Bonkai are both so cute) but they wasted the opportunity and now we'll never know how amazing they could have been. Surely a lot more epic than Bonenzo is that's for sure. ;_;

It still kills me how he gained his humanity again, he began to truly change for the better and then the person he put his trust in betrayed him. And what did he learn from being good, from being what he shut off and everyone hated? He was trapped again, deemed a peice of trash, unworthy, in isolation and pain and anger. What else would he do? Bonnie triggered his emotional response to pain and anger and hatred she drove him insane all over again. Yes the dark part of Kai deserved his fate, but he also deserved every chance at redemption Damon, Klaus, Kol, Enzo and the others did. Yes he was bad but he wasn't born bad, he was made bad, that's what a "sociopath" is. And the fact that the writers screwed his character over yet let so many others change was not fair.
kai was supposed to have a redemption arc and end up with bonnie but julie plec didn't like it 😑 because apparently her words he isn't boyfriend material smh 😑

I love Kai as a villain but c'mon. He murdered his family. He is a bad person who deserved to die.
To lock him again was the first one of many huge mistakes. He was the spark of the last season, a whole new plot with a genius character. I kind of feel that without him or Elena, there is no reason for keep going on.
One of the most unspecified messed up things is how Papa Parker put kai in a prison instead of killing him if in case the younger twins die so he can still use him to merge if needed. Of course the writers did a crappy job to use Kai's character. Outside the Mikaelsons, Kai had the most potential. They could have even given Kai a mini-series like the originals. The most wasted character ever in a show.
Imagine if Kai would have turned his humanity off. 😱

A redemption arc for kai would've made so much sense and seeing him struggle with his new long lasting emotions vs his primal sociopathic nature as well as his family history and their connection, ther rituals, spells and link to the bennetts would of been so interesting to see play out on screen..

When Damon left Bonnie to die, Kai almost seemed upset like he wanted Damon to save Bonnie.
When kai shot Bonnie with an arrow, drugged, stabbed and left her behind in the prison world kai was just doing exactly what Bonnie tried and failed to do to him back to Bonnie. Bonnie betrayed kai, and kai did exactly the same thing back. Bonnie stabed and killed kai and tried to leave him behind in the prison world to suffer through even more years of loneliness, pain and torture. He protected himself.
His family made him a sociopath, its not his fault.

i don't think Kai is dead and i have had in depth thoughts about this. Okay so Kai Parker who, throughout the entire series is made out to be super powerful, which he is, he survived so much,manipulated so many people to get what he wanted, and he became a Vamp-Witch, is then killed by....... Damon Freaking Salvatore ? no thanks. Kai is that powerful i think must have anticipated what might have happened and thought a way around it. Also he died from his head being chopped of. Seriously. That is a weak ass way to kill someone who was that powerful. so in conclusion i think he isn't dead and come on its TVD who actually stays dead ? And even if he is, he did something no one on this show has ever done. he won. he got rid of Elena Gilbert and caused the suffering he wanted to everyone on the show and to his dumb-ass coven, something he has been planning all his life. and he went out with a bang. Kai won...... as you can see i have thought about this a lot

Kai is my fav character and he never had anyone to love. I feel so so so bad for him. He apologized for everything he did and still no one gave him a chance. Damon killed MANY MORE people than Kai did and he had a happy ending and forgiveness. I don’t like how his life was.

He was a TRUE villain. Genuinely insane. No remorse, even when he started to show some in the end he was not redeemable which I LOVED!!! A genuine... lunatic. He’s been hinted at in legacies and I definitely think he’s gonna show up.

To see Kai cry..... It was just completely heartbreaking. 😢💔 I could see the devastation and hurt and betrayal on face. He completely trusted Bonnie. He was hurt. But I don't blame her for leaving him... What he did to her.... But I do blame Damon. He took advantage of her vulnerability and manipulated her. He didn't even tell her all that Kai had done to get her out of there. Or that those heretics were there.
I blame Damon a bit but I really just blame JP. As usual she has to ruin a good thing and destroy a beautiful character and a potential love story for Bonnie- it's as if she hates Bonnie having a compelling love interest as Kai could care less about Elena and actually was intrigued by Bonnie. I hated it when he died and I don't blame her in fact I wish Kai had simply waited and gave her space so she could heal but gahhhhhh, this is so sad for me I hate it had to turn out like this. I ship Bamon but if Bonkai happened I would drop Bamon like a hot potato because Kai is so complex and cute and adorable in how much he likes Bonnie despite being a sociopath and he was starting to have feelings. ;_;
Kai had a good heart after his pain from his past trauma was slowly taken away, and he and Bonnie could have been a power couple. The merge changed him for the better and he actually had a reason to be a villain and it rooted from pain. He had the best heart and wanted to be a better person. If people saw that and bonnie knew he risked his life to save her, maybe she could have seen that. all he wanted was for bonnie to see that.

Damon: killed thousands of innocent ppl bc he wanted to.. stole his brother’s girl.. tortured ppl.. murddered geberstion after generation of vampires cuz of something their ancestors did...
Klaus: killed millions of ppl, compelled other ppl to think they were his family so they would run from his father. Tortured millions of ppl, killed all of his parents, daggered his sibling more times than I’ve been alive
Kai: killed his family and a lot of innocents, screwed ppl over in plans...
And yet everyone else deserves forgiveness other than Kai?? I think if we can forgive and love Damon and Klaus.. we can forgive and love Kai.. he genuinely wanted to make things better when he had gotten characteristics of Luke and he coulda been a good guy if Bonnie and friends hadn’t screwed him over.. that’s when his heart and soul broke again... come on now Bonnie and friends.. if you can show simpathy for Damon and Klaus, you can show simpathy for Kai.. Kai genuinely wanted forgiveness.. Klaus and Damon just wanted to get into Caroline and Elena’s pants

All of you guys crying he's gone, Plec wasnt partial, she just thought Chris Wood(Kai) was an amazing actor(which he is) so she gave him his own show, Containment, which I think premiers this month. Kai was otherwise to be in the show for a couple of seasons more.
Kai was easily the best villain I've seen in longer than I can think. He was highly entertaining, absolutely adorable, you couldn't help but love him; and yet you NEVER lost sight of the fact that he was deranged, evil, and completely beyond saving.

Bonnie killed him first, without him having ever hurt her before that, and she even thought she'd killed him for good. She tried to kill him multiple times and yet, when he came to apologize to her at that rave-party, the producers made it look like Kai was so bad to her. Bonnie started the whole thing, he took revenge at best but actually just tried to escape his prison. Stabbing him AGAIN and leaving him behind in 1903 was unproportionally unjust from Bonnie. Glad she didn't study law and become a judge bruh

Kai loved Bonnie but she did not see him as he sees her. Love ruined Kai since childhood. When he found himself bonding with bonnie since they are both a warlock and witch. He had someone he could relate to and grow with no wonder he will not let her go. Love made him jaded and pyschopath... She destroy his chance to actually turn around, change his ways from a pyschopath to an actual good guy. Truthfully love does make you or break you. Love broke kai into little pieces , that made him more manipulative ,cunning and a full blown psychopath. In kai's case he was desperate for love .

I feel so bad for Kai. There really is no difference between him and Damon. They both ruthlessly killed tons of innocent people. Yet, everybody thought Damon was loveable and Kai was unredeemable. Then, Bonnie locked him up in a prison world. Julie Plec should have made the characters notice the similaraties between the two. Kai honestly just needed somebody to love and care about him for once. 😔

Kai Parker is by most one of my favorite TVD villain. He has so many layers and you either hate or love him, there's no in between.
